 Teaching approach: Communicative approach and Multiple intelligence.
The theory of multiple intelligences suggests that there are a number of distinct forms
of intelligence that each individual possesses in varying degrees. Gardner proposes
seven primary forms: linguistic, musical, logical-mathematical, spatial, body-
kinesthetic, intrapersonal (e.g., insight, metacognition) and interpersonal (e.g., social
skills).This School are found belong this theory.
 Integration of skills: What skills will be integrated and how?
Speaking and listening skills are integrated, through different activities. Writing and
reading the students are invited to complete charts and write about what can they do.
 Materials and resources: CD - pictures - computer- photocopies - poster -markers
- Short Story: Giraffes can´t dance.
 Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: I will use the computer to
reproduce the songs and video
 Seating arrangement: The group will be sitting on their chairs. Children will play
and move into the classroom.
 Assessment: what will be assessed and how :
I will check that they understand the new target language through singing songs
and getting the students to talk about what they can do Grammar and vocabulary will
be assessed through writing activities and games.
Purpose and warm up: (15 minutes) To start the lesson, get students into the
mood for work, establish rapport.
I will great the students and I will explain that I will be her teacher for two days,
Tuesday and Thursday.
I will sing a “Hello song”
And I will ask them How are you?
I will stick on the uniform their names to help me to remember them.
I will write on the board the helpers ´names, and I will ask them What day is today? And
What´s the weather like today?
I will write the date and the weather on the board.
The students will open the folders and they will copy

When they finish copying, I will say “Please Close your copybooks” and pay attention, please!
Warm up: (5 Minutes)
I will invite the Sts to answer the following question to revise some action.
Can Gloria walk on a tightrope?
Can Gloria fly?
Can the Clown catch the balls?
Can Mourice dance?
I will expect that children answer with YES SHE/HE CAN /NO SHE/HE CAN´T
Transition: Wonderful! Are you ready for the storytime!!
Introduction: (15 minutes)
I will stick on the board the following picture and I will ask them:
Teacher: What animal is it?
Students: It is a Giraffe
Teacher: Yes!! and do you know where they live?
Students: Maybe they will say in the Zoo / or jungle
Teacher: Well, some giraffes live in AFRICA
(I will show them the following picture, and I will stick it on the board)
I will ask them what they think the story is about.
I will invite them to read the tittle, so they will talk about what they think.
After that I will give them a copy of the story, and they will listen to and watch the story:

Transition: Ok Children! Do you like the Story!
Teacher: One, two, three Students: silent please
Teacher: Three, two, one Students: everyone!
I will use this because they are noisy!!

Activity 1 (30 minutes)
I will encourage the students to talk about the story asking some questions
Teacher: What happened with the giraffe?
Do you remember his name?
Is The giraffe happy or Sad?
Can she dance?
I will write their answers on the board. After that I will give them the following copy
GIRAFFES CAN´T DANCE
1) Read and complete with CAN /CAN´T
 GIRAFFES______________ FLY.
 GIRAFFES _____________ WALK ON A TIGHTROPE.
 GIRAFFES _____________ DANCE.
 GIRAFFES _____________ PLAY THE VIOLIN.
 GIRAFFES _____________ CATCH THE BALL.
2) Read and complete with the following words.
DANCE - GIRAFFE - LONG - DANCE -SAD - YELLOW - AFRICA -
Geral is a __________. He lives in ________. He is tall and slim. He has got a ____
neck and four legs. He is __________ and brown. He can eat leaves but he can´t ______.
He is so ___________.
When they finish these activities I will encourage them to read them allow to check the
activity.
Transition: Wonderful work children!! Now is time to go out. Please Put on your jackets!!
Break 30 minutes.
Warm up: (5 minutes) With this activity I expect to relax the students after the
break.

Activity 2: (35 minutes)
I will give them a photocopy. The students will colour, cut and paste the giraffe after that the
students will describe the giraffe and they will write what the giraffe can or can´t do

3) WRITE WHAT THE GIRAFFE CAN OR CAN´T DO.
Activity 3 ( 15 minutes)
I will explain the game and I will show them how to play. I will put on my forehead an animal and, I
will start to ask questions to discover or guess who am I?
Am I an animal?
Can I fly?
Can I run?
Am I yellow ?
I will explain thatthey only can answer with YES or NO
Clousure : (5 minutes)

Children will play and move into the classroom.  Assessment: what will be assessed and how : I will check that they understand the new target language through singing songs and getting the students to talk about what they can do Grammar and vocabulary will be assessed through writing activities and games. Purpose and warm up: (15 minutes) To start the lesson, get students into the mood for work, establish rapport. I will great the students and I will explain that I will be her teacher for two days, Tuesday and Thursday. I will sing a “Hello song”

I feel ......................... When they finish copying, I will say “Please Close your copybooks” and pay attention, please! Warm up: (5 Minutes) I will invite the Sts to answer the following question to revise some action. Can Gloria walk on a tightrope? Can Gloria fly? Can the Clown catch the balls? Can Mourice dance? Students: It is a Giraffe Teacher: Yes!! and do you know where they live? Students: Maybe they will say in the Zoo / or jungle Teacher: Well, some giraffes live in AFRICA (I will show them the following picture, and I will stick it on the board) I will ask them what they think the story is about. I will invite them to read the tittle, so they will talk about what they think. After that I will give them a copy of the story, and they will listen to and watch the story:

Do you remember his name? Is The giraffe happy or Sad? Can she dance? I will write their answers on the board. After that I will give them the following copy GIRAFFES CAN´T DANCE 1) Read and complete with CAN /CAN´T  GIRAFFES______________ FLY.  GIRAFFES _____________ WALK ON A TIGHTROPE.  GIRAFFES _____________ DANCE.
  • 6.  GIRAFFES _____________ PLAY THE VIOLIN.  GIRAFFES _____________ CATCH THE BALL. 2) Read and complete with the following words. DANCE - GIRAFFE - LONG - DANCE -SAD - YELLOW - AFRICA - Geral is a __________. He lives in ________. He is tall and slim. He has got a ____ neck and four legs. He is __________ and brown. The students will colour, cut and paste the giraffe after that the students will describe the giraffe and they will write what the giraffe can or can´t do GIRAFFES CAN´T DANCE

  • 9. Activity 3 ( 15 minutes) I will explain the game and I will show them how to play. I will put on my forehead an animal and, I will start to ask questions to discover or guess who am I?
