foundthat the response wasmixed.8people saidthatthey
likedmagazines,6people saidthattheydon’tknowif they
like magazinesandnoone saidthat theydidnotlike
magazineswhichiswhythe answerisnoton the graph.
Thismeansthat the majorityansweredthattheyliked
magazines,meaningthatI know thatI will have anaudience
interesteditmymagazine if the genre appealstothem.

Whensurveyingmyaudience forresearch,Ifoundthatthe
majorityof my repliesfromthe surveyshowedthatthe
majorityof themwere female.
58.8% were female.
23.5% were male.
17.6% were unsure orfoundtheirgendercomplicated.
However,despite my genderwasmostlyfemale,Iamstill
basingmymagazine as a unisex magazine asmymusic
genre interestsbothgenders.
Whenaskingforthe age of the audience Ifoundthatthe
majoritywasaged15-20.
78.6% wasaged 15-20.
Lessthan 10% wasaged21-30.
14.3% wasaged 41%.
Thismeansthat my audience isrelativelyyoung.This
matchesmy musicgenre asit more likelyappealsto
youngerpeople.ThismeansthatIwill have tomake my
magazine appeal toyoungerpeople.

2. I askedmysurveyaudience how often theywouldbuya certain
magazine.
12% saidtheywouldbuyit weekly
40% saidtheywouldbuyit monthly
48% saidtheywouldbuyit quarterly
These results show that the majorityof myaudience would
purchase mymagazine quarterly. However because there was such
little difference between monthlyandquarterlyI am going to
produce mymagazine monthlyas it is more suitable for a music
magazine.

R&B
Hip-Hop
Dance

Pop
My least popular answers were rock, classicalandmetal.
This means that I should mainlyfocus mymagazine around
the genres that people are interested in.
For mymagazine I am goingto base it aroundR&B andHip-
Hop as these are twoof the most popular answers.
When I askedmyaudience what magazine name was more
appealing mymost chosenanswers was Crave. This means
that it will be the chosen name for mymagazine as it was the
most chosenanswer but quite some gap.
When I askedmyaudience what giveaways theywould
prefer to have from a music magazine, most people said
either 3 months Apple music subscription or 3 months
SpotifyPremium. The least chosen answers were a
memorystick, beanie and poster.
However, despite it not beingthe most chosenanswer, I
am going to use GavinDhillon’s mixtape as mygiveawayin
my magazine as I feel it fits the genre of the music. This
means it maybe likedbymyaudience.

3. When I asked myaudience whowere answering the survey
how much theywould payfor the magazine I foundthat they
preferred the middle price more suitable.
48% would pay£2.50-3.50
32% would pay£1.00-2.00
20% would pay£4
This means that the most suitable price for me to put for my
magazine would be £3.00 as it is the middle value ofthe most
suitable price that people chose.
When I askedwhat people expectedto see ina magazine,
majorityof the people repliedthat theyexpect to see
upcomingartists, interviews, giveaways andinterviews with
artists. Thismeans that inmymagazine I needto make sure
that I include all four of these things so that mymagazine is
appealing to mytarget audience. Thismeans that I willget
more people purchase my magazine.
