IPC media would be well-suited to publish the author's magazine as they already publish several magazines targeted at young men and women, including the NME. While Bauer media also publishes music magazines like Q, the author prefers IPC since they specialize more in magazines rather than radio. The author's magazine would take an unconventional, "maverick" approach to covering indie rock and rock music that could attract new audiences. IPC may already publish a similar magazine, the NME, but the author believes offering multiple options would only benefit IPC through increased sales and profits by appealing to different readership interests.

2.  I think that the publishing company ‘IPC media’ would publish my
magazine as they also publish the NME magazine. They also publish
lots of other magazines aimed at young men and women such as
Teen Now, Nuts and Uncut. Uncut is another music magazine that is
made by IPC media however on the IPC media website it talks about
Uncut magazines aspirations and its target audience.
What kind of media institution might distribute
your media product and why?

3.  Bauer media is another company that could publish my magazine. I
feel this because it publishes the music magazine Q, which again
aims its magazine at a similar audience as the NME. However, I
would rather choose IPC as Bauer media focuses mainly on Radio
where as IPC focuses more on magazines. I think IPC media would
want my magazine as it is new and gives a uncut and maverick like
look into the indie rock and rock genre. I think that this maverick
behaviour from my magazine would attract people as they would
appreciate this new innovative approach.

4.  I think my product could offer the company a refreshing new product
which will bring a target audience of young men and women,
although IPC has the NME which is a similar product to mine which
could result in people choosing the NME over mine. However I think
the choice of both magazines will only be good for IPC and I feel
they will profit greatly off it due to the choice, For example, If a band
that is very well known is on my magazine then lots of people will
buy it and they may also buy the NME due to the sheer global
magnitude of the company.
