The Stockyard Museum
Learning to get out of your confronts zone and do many things you have never done before can be
challenging, fun and learning opportunity like mines was. In my family, we do not really try new
things like we should because everyone seems to be busy doing other things. Therefore, visting the
museum was a huge eye opener for me and very interesting in many ways. These museums are ones
you wouldn't usually catch me at which is called "The Stockyard Museum" and "Texas Cowboy
Hall of Fame".
I chose these two museums because I wanted to step out my tree and try going out doing some
different else were instead of something around my neighborhood. Pulling up to their area at first
was very weird because this was not an environment I was used to being

Art Museum
The very first time I ever went to an art museum, I was miserable. I was ten years old, and visiting
New York City for the first time, and my father who has worked tirelessly to raise my siblings and
me to have an appreciation for higher culture dragged us to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I cried
within fifteen minutes of being there. All the people made me feel claustrophobic, and I was so set
in my misery that I refused to try to enjoy the art. My mother, with all the patience that mothers are
gifted with, took me through the museum. She entertained me with stories of when her and my
father first fell in love in the city; rushed lunch dates in the museum, the halfway point between his
job and her school. Gradually, we moved away from the more heavily populated galleries, and then
it happened.
I saw the art.
I truly saw it and realized why we were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As I grew older I realized that I wanted to give everyone, but especially children, the same access to
art that I had been so privileged to have throughout my childhood. I felt, and still feel, that art serves
as a reflection of the culture we live in, and if access to art is limited then the creation of art will also
be stifled, leading to only a select few voices being recognized. If only a few voices are recognized,
then a true reflection of our culture will not be generated. Historically, wealthy white men have
dominated the art world, specifically the western art world, and I believe that because of this bias we
have missed out on many important stories from diverse backgrounds. While we cannot change the
past, it is never too late to start working towards a brighter, more inclusive future. The first step
towards this vision is by increasing the accessibility of art education to people from all backgrounds.
Art changed my life, and I believe it can change the lives of countless

Marinetti Shrem Museum
I think the Marinetti Shrem Museum was an interest museum that the students should visit. The
museum is not very big comparing to other museum, and they don't even have map for the visitors
since it's a small museum. The museum was separated into different rooms; there is room for the art
exhibition, and room for student's collection. Personal belonging bags are not allow to bring inside
the art gallery, but what I like about the museum was that it provide a self–check locker when I can
storage my backpack for free. There are also some information sheets that are placed on the counter
when visitors can get it for free. Inside the gallery there is lot of different kind of arts, things like
toilets that made of ceramic, paintings, drawings, and

The Atlanta Museum Of Art
On November 7, 1883, an exhibition organized by "May Wright Sewell, her husband Theodore, and
a small group of art–minded citizens" (History, 2017) began what would one day become the
establishment now known as the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Since that first exhibition, the IMA
has gone through several identity changes. They were first named, the Art Association of
Indianapolis. Their next identity was as the John Herron Art Institute, which opened a whole new
chapter, as they became "a campus featuring both a museum and an art school." (History, 2017)
Today, the IMA is one of the largest encyclopedic art museums in the nation. The IMA has had
various leadership and staff over the years that have lent to how the museum operates today. ...

Library and Archives
Many do not know that the IMA houses two different libraries. The Stout Reference Library and the
Horticultural Society Library provide numerous resources for their visitors, which mainly consist of
students, IMA Staff, docents, collectors, researchers and even members of the community. The Stout
Reference Library "focuses on the encyclopedia collection of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, while
also providing general information about art and art history of all periods." (Stout Reference Library,
2017) The Horticultural Society Library "houses more than 2,000 volumes, including general
reference books and books on landscaping, specific plant families and horticulture." (Horticultural
Society Library, 2017) I mention the libraries because this semester, I am technically considered a
library and archives intern at the IMA. My mentor however is the archivist, Samantha Norling. She
has done impressive work at the IMA in such a short time. She jump–started the Archives online
portal, which consists of thousands of digitized items from the archives. The IMA received a
"generous grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)" (Documenting Modern
Living, 2017), that allowed for 17,000 items from the Miller House and Garden archival collection
to be digitized.

LACMA Museum Report
I went to LACMA, Los Angeles Country Museum of Art with my eldest sister and my little three–
year–old sister. Since we went with a toddler I wasn't able to see all the exhibits and galleries due to
my little sister being impatient and having an impulse of wanting to touch everything. The first
exhibit we looked at was the Art of The Pacific that their art goes back to the 18th century from
Hawaiian, Polynesian, and Melanesia. They have different objects that were used for example; they
had a stool, feeding funnel and a female figure. The stool was used for cooking and made out of
wood and fiber. The feeding funnel comes from New Zealand and the Mahaki tribes of it are made
out of wood and Haliotis shell. The layout for this exhibit was simple ... Show more content on

The Brody couple gave the ceramic wall to UCLA. This Ceramic wall has a little information
regarding the artist and the previous owners story of the ceramic wall. There are a lot of painting and
old artifacts of mostly how people used to view women and how nudity is Art. Men are also
displayed showing their private parts with freedom and no shame. At the other side of the second
floor I came across painting that had canvas paintings of Christ holding a cross and wearing pink
under his garment. The 4 paintings that were displayed on this exhibit was unknown to who the
artist is. However, scholars claimed to say that the paintings belong to Paolo Veronese. His painting
consists of bright color and his essence goes back considered to the Venetian Renaissance paintings.
The information that was provided about the paintings was displayed on the wall next to the
paintings. I wonder if when the painting were made people were so concern with the differences of
Jesus wearing different colors or why these painting were kept away from the public eye before they

Autry Museums
In Autry article, she stated that "how national histories marred by racial conflict can be translated
into narratives of group identity formation" (Autry, 57). Autry is trying to say that museums is a
sacred place of memory and trauma. When traveling through these museums the author notice that
the most common themes were "capture and displacement from Africa, enslavement, and racial
segregation" (Autry 64). When she notices that these were the three main topics being shown to the
public then it's a major problem. She felt that the museums had too much power because they were
choosing certain information to be displayed about the struggles of African Americans. The author
wants to show that over time that a museum can change and can interpret things in a new way in

Therefore, the museum can thrive. She explains that "identities are performed ideologies
interrogated and cultural symbols reinvented" (Autry 60). The author is trying to say that certain
items are displayed in a museum for a reason by trying to send a certain message. When she talks
about how cultural symbols are reinvented it shows that museums is trying to change the people's
perspectives by creating a new meaning for a certain symbol. Another problem that the author has
noticed is that some parts of the African American culture are disappearing because for example
there was a "city's decision to invest in a new commercial enterprise, rather than supporting smaller,
more locally–oriented museums." (Autry 75). The government does not support the local museums
than it causes issues because some of the history is lost. The memory is lost from the local regional
area, which could have added a new perspective towards a certain standpoint. While the new

Museum Misconceptions
This thesis focuses on archaeology programming in museums and the common visitor
misconceptions about archaeology that museum educators face, especially those promoted by
popular culture. By recognizing the notions and understanding of archaeology that visitors and
program participants carry with them, museums can create truly educational programs that go
beyond the adventure/detective version of pop culture archaeology and successfully introduce the
archaeological discipline to the general public. This thesis analyzes and explores what
misconceptions of archaeology are commonly held by museum visitors, what their source is, and
how museum programming can address these notions.
The author of this thesis chose to pursue this research topic thanks to a personal background in
archaeology and an interest in education, which coincidentally led them to The University of the

This is especially true for university museums where the university has its own archaeology
department. In general, the types of archaeology programs found in museums feature tours of
archaeological collections, hands–on art–making activities, and mock digs. The University of
Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology hosts a ten–week "Anthropologists in the
Making" Summer Camp. Each week of this camp has a different theme, one of which is solely
dedicated to the subject of archaeology and featuring a mock dig. During the summer of 2016 this
week focused on the archaeology of Greece and Rome. The author first encountered this program
from a colleague who had previously worked as a camp counselor. The Penn Museum summer camp

Haggin Museum Analysis
The museum I have visited during my time was The Haggin Museum located in Stockton,
California. Although I had a very brief visit at the museum the layout of each room was very well
thought out. The three main images that I have found found very interesting are the Noonday Meal
by Daniel Ridgway Knight, Harlequine by Jean Beraud and Les Halles also by Jean Beraud. This
paper will discuss the formal characteristic of each artwork and will also be compared to some of
the artworks studied and discussed in class. The Haggin Museum is a very well organized place, as
they place each artwork in rooms and galleries by the time period they were painted in. The main
rooms I visited were the Haggin and McKee room, since both rooms had artworks painted ... Show

Beraud style of painting has become more Impressionist over the course of his life. In the painting it
features a woman who seems to be getting ready to go to a party. Unlike the last painting, this one
seems to consists of more darker colors and colors that contrast each other, such as black and white.
The way she looks and smiles can be more elegant, but by the way she stands and have her legs
exposed seems to show a more alluring and modest behavior. The portrait also shows a large amount
of space being give to the woman as the she was posing purposely. The painting itself also sends out
a good vibe to the viewers as if they were going to the party also. A image that I found very similar
to this one is the A Bar at the Folies–Bergere by Edouard Manet. The painting also features a woman
who seems to be going to a party also, as to which the background depicts a scene at an actual bar in
Folies–Bergere. Although Manet's painting seems to be more complex as it features a different

Summary Of Truman Museum
Fairfield Museum
Summary:
A museum is a place where we can find collection of things of the past at one place where we get an
unknown information known just by a visual treat.
I have never been into a museum before but for the first time in United States I visited a museum
named Fairfield museum and history center along with my friends which is at 370 beach road,
Fairfield, Connecticut. At the Fairfield museum we observe exhibition galleries, research libraries,
education center and a theatre with a seating of 80 members.
In the exhibition galleries we can look at images of our ancient paintings, and the items of emperors
and the culture at their time which allows us to see, feel, touch and realize about our historical things
and events.

 Reading Response Due: Walter Mignolo, "Museums in the Colonial Horizon of Modernity: Fred
Wilson's Mining the Museum (1992)" in Jonathan Harris, ed., Globalization and Contemporary Art
(Oxford: Wiley–Blackwell, 2011): 71–85. Prompt: How does Mignolo characterize the museum as
colonial? And what are possible decolonizing options/tactics for reorienting or changing museum
practice? In "Museums in the Colonial Horizon of Modernity", author Walter Mignolo goes into
depth about the "colonization of being". This idea of colonialization comes from a scaling of
cultural systems, such as a hierarchal structure in terms of politics, race, gender, religion, etc. Even
in today's culture, the idea of a ranking of groups of people (eventually trickling down into small
groups/subcultures of people) helps to control a largely populated society. ... Show more content on

decolonial option reorienting the work museums can do (e.g.,) in a nutshell, reproducing the rhetoric
of modernity and the logic of coloniality or entering in a spirit of epimistic and aesthetic
disobedience undoing what museums did in a modern/imperial history: learning to unlearn and to

The Akron Art Museum
Akron Art Museum The Akron Art Museum is an institute that combined a historic building heavily
adorned with Italian Renaissance revival and classicism with a modern and radical steel and glass
structure. The once 1899 Akron post office section of the museum houses the local and global pieces
of Impressionistic art from the 1850s. The original building is wrapped with a deep red brick and
limestone with triangular pediments and pilasters. In 2007, Coop Himmelb(l)au's architect Wolf D.
Prix juxtaposed a new structure titled the Knight building with an obvious theory of contemporary
modernity. The knight Building was constructed directly beside the old post office. Instead of
demolishing the history, the museum's design is to embrace the past with the future. The original art
museum was first opened on February 1, 1922. It was formerly titled as the Akron Art Institute. The
institute was located in the basement of the Akron Public Library. The museum was run solely on
volunteers due to limited economic funding and finances. The institute offered art classes and
exhibitions of local artistry. In 1937, the institute moved into a historic mansion that was soon
engulfed in fire. The fire ruined most of the collections and mansion. However, in the museum's

Tampa Museum Of Art
Back in my school years I used to visit many historical museums, where I learned a lot about the
culture and society of the past. As I have always been interested in history and arts, all that was a
breathtaking experience for me. I believe that these museums is the best way to get closer to lives of
our ancestries and it can help us to see the world in a different way. However, to be more
knowledgeable about the world we live in, it's also extremely important to be familiar with modern
art. So this time I decided to experience something new and started searching for a museum which
would contain works of contemporary artists. Tampa Museum of Art was a great option. This

wanted at that moment is night to come so I could see thousands of colored lights reflected in the
surface of the river that flows near the museum. What's more, I liked the design of the museum
inside as well. There were white walls and perfect lighting, and nothing would bother
contemplation. In many museums I have visited before there was a lot of distractions, but in this
museum everything was done on the principle of simplicity, and that was very pleasing to me.
Moreover, when we came inside of the museum, it was almost empty. There were just a few visitors,
who were fascinated by various drawings and statues. Most of the visitors were teenagers, what
slightly surprised me. I

Art Museum Vs. Private Museum

private art museums in the United States, compared to a private art museum in another country.
Secondly, a university natural history museum is compared to another university natural history
museum in a foreign country. The comparisons involve taking a closer look at the history, function,
staffing, and programs at museums. Many reasons can lead collectors to starting a private museum.
Whether collectors feel that a collection can serve an educational function, or perhaps to keep
control over the collection, a private museum is an option that provides the public access to their

Museums And Museums Of Museums
Maintaining and increasing visitors to museums is essential to the existence of the institutions. Art
Galleries, Children's Museums, Anthropology Museums, Zoos, History Museums and other types of
museums all depend on a steady stream of people coming to their institutions. Without a robust
attendance, gallery halls are just empty, full of objects collecting dust. Objects and artifacts that the
public and researchers are not viewing are wasted opportunities to be an inspiration or to help gain
new knowledge. Empty exhibition halls would become no better than 15th century collections
locked up in private homes of wealthy individuals promoting their affluence. These institutions keep
important stories for posterity by collecting, preserving, researching, interpreting objects, living
specimens, and historical records (Museum). Even beyond the cultural implications, museums need
visitors to keep income flowing into the institutions. Donations are made to all museums in the form
of objects and money. Nonetheless, larger donations are usually made to well–known institutions
where the donor knows the object will be seen by a vast audience or that a monetary donation will
be noticed by a larger number of people. The importance of a sizable, steady attendance rate to a
museum is not a complex issue, and with 850 million people visiting a physical American museum,
which is more than all major league sporting events and theme parks combined, it might not seem

museum's setting was not at all what I had expected and was rather disappointing. Most museums
have a very solemn and academic mood that encourages silence and thoughtfulness. The Longmont

be balance between children's' activities and adult academic learning. Children and adults should

When I was younger, I thought museums were boring and dull, filled with pointless, nonsensical art
work that people just pretended to understand what the artists were thinking. I thought people
interpreted imaginary meanings from the art that other people just followed and accepted because it

I think that is true very often because people are not willing to compromise and listen to the things

description given about the piece, it is said that the male and female form are locked in violent
opposition, which somewhat similar to how I currently feel. I was also interested in this piece

It was amazing to be in such a lovely place. I was accompanied to the museum by my aunt name

the way the pieces retorted to my emotional side. I really wish if I would have this artwork in my

with a light color of pink and red on the chest side which appears more brighter and coloful. On the
other hand, the one on the left–hand side was painted with red and pink and a little green at the feet
side which looks more specifically like Egyptian royal traditional way of dressing. Furthermore, the
middle one was design with more of green, black, and red color on the head and legs side that gives

beauty of the image. However the visual rhythm and movements, shows more traditionally way of

Three Things You Must Do When Visiting Washington, D. C.
Washington, D. C. is not only one of the most popular tourists destinations in the United States, but
because it is the capital of the United States, there is an enormous amount of history associated with
the city. In fact, you could never see all of the great sites in one visit, but if you only visit this city
once, there are three sites that you must see on your trip. The following is a brief description of these
sites.
The Smithsonian Museum
Although it is often called a museum, it is, in fact, composed of 19 different museums, and is truly
the greatest of all museums in America. The only problem is the large scope of subjects and exhibits
that can be seen. It is impossible to see everything in one day or even one trip, so it is a good idea to
at least make an entire day of your visit to Washington D. C. that is dedicated to the Smithsonian

The Meadows Museum Analysis
The Meadows Museum is a public art museum on the Southern Methodist University campus, and it
collects a lot of Spanish works. When I was around the museum, I saw many beautiful stone
sculptures. When I entered the museum, I felt quiet, serious and professional because of visitors who
focused on appreciation of art and staff wore formal clothing. According to the artwork I am most
interested in, I will introduce its information, my first impression, and the second impression.
The artwork
The artwork is one of key highlights of the collections, and its position is located in the most
important entrance. The sculpture's subject is Sho, and its appearance is a head and is made of many
painted stainless steel bars. Its artist is Jaume Plensa who

I recently read your reaction to the new Getty Museum. I found that your opinions about J. Paul
Getty's museum align with my thoughts about the museum. You said the outer aesthetics of the
museum provide people with a "heated art controversy." You said that a museum must not portray a
non–neutral or partial nature between the museum's looks and its content. My perception of the
museum falls under the relation between a statue and its pedestal. Most people observe and admire
statues that sit atop a simple, uniform pedestal. But, when the pedestal receives a makeover making
it highly glorified, the spotlight slightly shifts from the statue onto the pedestal. People don't lose
complete sight of the statue, but people still appreciate and admire

Are Museums Vs. Museums? Hag. Stuffy?
Museums are boring. Stuffy. Musty. Much too "cultured" and "bourgeois". Who cares about those
old paintings? Not us, we say, as we flit from review book to science lab to English essay. Our
parents want to plan something fun for the family, and perhaps we could try that new Italian place?
Oh wait, we have to finish those notes. Do we even have time for fun anymore? Our friends are
constantly busy on the weekends. The few plans hastily created on the group chat inevitably fade
away as we are buried under the gargantuan strains of everyday life. Our minds are drained,
exhausted, and oh so very stressed. We could use a break. Maybe even take a trip somewhere. Well,
what about that "boring" museum? Although museums strike us as vapid, time–consuming, distant,
and just plain stuffy, we should increase museum attendance in order to destress our lives and
increase our overall awareness. Unfortunately, museums get a bad reputation as a place where
people vacantly stare at paintings and sculptures with glazed eyes, drifting listlessly from room to
room. Why spend money on a ticket when the same money could easily be spent on a new book, a
colorful pen set, or a delicious meal? However, according to psychologists Matthew Killingsworth
and Daniel Gilbert, "happiness is in the content of moment–to–moment experiences." The memory
of an experience holds more weight than simply purchasing a new bag or shirt, and when people
look back at past experiences, they tend to be happier when

Metropolitan Museum Analysis
Since ancient times, humanity has used art to express feelings, emotions, ideas, and much more.
Also, it was used as a medium to communicate between each other. As a result, it is not surprising
that we feel delighted while observing works of art. Now, there are many opportunities to go to
museums, and enjoy the precious art pieces shown there. One of the museums that has a wide
variety of art, is the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The Metropolitan Museum is extraordinary because it displaying artwork from all over the world,

This research was done through The Metropolitan Museum of Art's website, a very user friendly site
to browse and learn about art. Since everything is well organized, and it has links that can help
people find what they are looking for, it is an excellent source to do research papers. The only thing
I will recommend to the museum is to make videos about the sculpture or rotatable pictures in order
to observe them from all angles. Even though the experience of being in front of a piece of art is

Museology Summary
This week's reading focused on anthropologists working across different disciplines. The readings
focused on anthropologists working in fisheries and museums and the contributions of
anthropologists in these different areas. Anthropologists employed in fisheries is fairly uncommon,
whereas anthropologist in museums have historically contributed in this area and have had a major
influence in museum exhibits. These articles demonstrate how anthropologists are branching out
into fields and disciplines that were uncommon for anthropologists to set foot in and contribute,
specifically anthropologist in fisheries. At the same time, talking about a field that have had
anthropologists collaborate like museums, these articles display the evolution of the discipline and
the relevancy anthropology is having in every discipline and area of research.
The first article by Nancy Parezo analyzed the importance anthropologists have had in museums and
their influence in the exhibits (2015). Anthropologists have assisted by helping various and

Sophia Borissenko, 126127973, sbor758@aucklanduni.co.nz
The purpose of this study is to define and examine the range design requirements for a variety of
case studies on heritage museums with modern intervention, each of which has a different type:
internal intervention, addition or integration. In doing so, an analysis of the impact of the case by
case design requirements that the innovation has on the building's idenity can be made. Furthermore,
the literature review will highlight the fact that there are similarities and differences while finally
considering the notion that comparisons and commendalities could be made and will be further

The aim was to preserve the architectural integrity of the ex–isting building (Stott, 2014). The
proposed design hides underground beneath the existing footprint of the museum, which acts as a
landmark for the ar–chitecturally conservative city. Ashley Hahn says, "the expansion is by
excavation, and removing ob–structions inserted into the museum's original de–sign, which allow
for major improvements to light, circulation, and exhibition space." These are the main design
requirements of which the project is based. In other areas, Gehry added simple sand–stone–clad stair
enclosures to accommodate mod–ern safety regulations (Hahn, 2014). He began by studying the
DNA of the building. He then looked at the significant assets that the original architects provided to
create a strong entry sequence and cir–culation pattern. The aim of this is to connect the new to the

Museum Personal Statement
Personal Statement After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, I started working at the
National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. For about a year, I worked with
artists and authors to organize book signing events. Now, life has taken me to Texas, and I am
currently working at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the most visited museum in Houston.
I have decided that a graduate degree in Museum Studies will help advance me in a career field in
which I am very passionate. For my graduate research, I would like to delve deeper into museum

exhibitions, and research the capabilities of digital technologies in the galleries. ... Show more

On one hand, some visitors arrive with previous knowledge or a background in the subject, and they
will fully utilize the text panels and labels. On the other hand, the casual museum guest is more
likely to be looking only for the overall theme or a few interesting facts to take home and share with
friends and family. A creatively constructed mobile app consisting of short games and simple
challenges can engage the guest with the objects and concisely transmit knowledge while remaining
entertaining. During my senior year, I conducted my Honor's Research in Museum Anthropology.
First, I researched the advantages and disadvantages of existing technologies and the potential of
digital devices in the galleries. Second, I observed the visitors in the Hall of Ancient Life at the Sam
Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History to see how they used the pre–existing participatory
elements, such as touchscreen displays, discovery drawers, and touch carts. Last, I used the
information to design a mobile app based on the conclusion that active participation, such as asking
the guest to create or make decisions, is more effective and memorable than passive participation,
like audio guides or QR codes on labels. I discovered that Bluetooth Beacons are the solution to
digital devices distracting from exhibits. Instead of having to constantly check their screens, the
guests are sent a notification when within range of the beacon. This method allows the visitors to put
their phones away in their pockets until standing in front of a specific display; therefore, they are
able to connect the information they learn within the app to the objects they are viewing. I would
like to study digital trends, design, and implementation with Dr. Gomez, the Curator of Digital
Technology. I believe that his guidance will give me the needed education and experience to fully
research and understand the effects of digital devices in museums. My

The purpose of museums is to serve the public in the fields of education and research. The pinnacle
of museum structure, for this country, is the Smithsonian, with its headquarters located in
Washington D.C. (Smithsonian). My future career goal is to get a curator position within one of the
nineteen museums that fall under the Smithsonian jurisdiction (Smithsonian). Though I will be
happy working in many other museums across this country I decided to choose the Smithsonian

The curator has a lot to deal with so there is a structure of positional power so that one person is not
completely overwhelmed. The structure of the museum field follows the positions form the top
being the main director, directors in specific fields then curators. After the curators, there is no
longer a hierarchy to follow but a branching of different disciplines, like: exhibition designer,
conservator, development, and accounting (Lancaster, A., & Houdyshell, A. 2019). With all these
different people being involved, a curator would benefit from knowing the Relational Leadership
Model. The ethical and empowering parts of the RLM section are important to be able to draw
different people together to work as a cohesive team (Komives, S. R., Lucas, N., & McMahon, T. R,
2013). Every position has its own possibility for leadership. One of the most propionate leaders in
the field of Museum curation is Franz Boaz. He started changing the mindset from ethnographic
anthropology to a more culturally bases idea (this removed a former white biases based racism). For
other leaders there is every one down the line is able to put their own input in to the curation of a
project. Dr. Francesca Marini discussed how her interns are designing the layout and researching the
information for new exhibits with minimal oversee from her. She makes sure they stay on tract but
besides that, the interns have free range to develop their exhibit. Marini explains that this happens in
all museums even up to the Smithsonian level because there is always more to do then there are
people to get it done. She says that the world of museums would not function well without the help

Essay On Broad Museum
The Broad museum is a contemporary art museum in downtown Los Angeles. The museum is home
to 2,000 works of art in the Broad collection, which is among the most prominent holdings of
postwar and contemporary art worldwide. With its innovative "veil–and–vault" concept, the
120,000–square–foot, $140 million building features two floors of gallery space to showcase the
Broad's comprehensive collection. Inside the museum there is a escalator ride from the lobby level
to the exhibition space on the third floor. The purpose of this is too separate visitors from the city
and from their cares, cars and concerns; allowing the mind to rebirth itself into a state of greater
focus and spiritual expectation. The Broad features artworks from Jeff Koon, Charles Ray, Jean–
Michel Basquiat's, Robert Therrien, Takashi Murakami and Goshka Macuga. The 5th Annual Art

Museum And Race Essay
Museums and Race Museums and institutions have to handle controversies and tough subject matter.
There is no easy solution in handling them that will please everyone. However, there some ways that
are better than others. For the issues that surround race, I believe there is one way that is better than
the rest. I believe the correct way to display works of art or any other offensive work is to give the
proper background context of the article. With this proper context, it is necessary to understand the
impact the work can have on all different races and to be empathetic with the feeling it can create.
To go with this, it is necessary for museums and historic places to be a place of debate. In my
analysis I will show several different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If they do not history will be lost. If they chose to ignore controversial topics, they are choosing to
ignore history and history then can be lost forever.
An example of the role museums play in controversial issues is from the St. Louis Contemporary
Art Museum. The museum displayed works of art that displayed civil rights images and images of
black women that were digitally altered. Many people found this to be offensive. The museum
decided to leave the exhibit up and to put labels to explain that this exhibit could possibly be
offensive. Another example with a very different outcome is when Astoria's Museum of the Moving
Image decided to take down a controversial webcam that was mounted on a wall outside of Astoria's
Museum of the Moving Image. They decided to do this because there were clashes of violence
between pro and anti–Trump people (Campanile). These two examples show how museums have
roles in controversy and how they can spark debate or worse, they can spark violence.
Race is a very sensitive and delicate topic in today's society. As stated by Younker, "Race as a topic
forces people to confront their personal and social identities in relation to past and present racial
issues. This confrontation can lead to feelings of shock, guilt, shame, apathy, and resistance to the
truth" (CONTROVERSY AND COLLABORATION: RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USING THE

An art museum is a place to view the world as separate from ones self. One can view and
contemplate events and issues in a quite civil manner. The Art museum is a place to look at the
world by ones self not bothered by the ones around. But what happens when people act against these
ways. Or put things that should not be there. Then people ultimately change the why the space
influence others. For example a modern day guards chair or a fan for circulation. These objects
although necessary often distract from the space, especially if the space is an older museum like the
Louvre. People would hardly notice if there wasn't such a hard contrasts between old and new.
However people often ignore these items of comforted and ultimately change their final memory of
a space to make it the most idealistic version of reality. Why should any normal people want to be
brought out of their perfect idea of a place they've always wanted to visit? Another thing that is
unusual to see in an old museum like the Louvre is a guard of roller blades. I realize this is practical

The University Art Museum Case Analysis

I. Relevant Facts/Background
The Art Museum is a building on the university premises that is providing a place for the art
collection of a university. The building was given to the university by an alumnus around 1929. The
wealthy son of the university's first president served as the museum's unpaid director until his death.
He brought a few extra collections to the museum during his service, and while serving as unpaid
director, none of the collections was ever shown to anybody except a few members of the
university's art history faculty. The university practically gave the position to amateur art supporter,
Miss Kirkoff, after the director's ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The real issue was not that the new director opened the doors to the public, but the management
organization at the University Art Museum. There are three main points as listed by "the elderly
statesmen of the faculty" that need to be addressed and clearly defined for the museum: its mission,
its direction, and its objectives. These are clearly the focal problems in this case. What the university
has to do as a whole is to set organizational goals and develop the plans to accomplish them. The
museum is not thriving with the school as well as it has in the past, and the direction of the
university is being questioned. III. Critical Analysis
The later director wanted it to be a community resource as said in the case, and the museum gained
bad reputation during that time as an academic resource. The building was designed by Miss Kirkoff
to help university and its alumni in their pursuit of knowledge. It failed greatly to support the
university and the public. At the time, the museum expected to hire a director and allow them to
shape the museum in any way they see suitable. The university on the other hand should have
identified the direction they want the museum to head in and create guidelines for a director to
fallow.
First, top managers at any organization, and in this case are the Dean and the board of directors of
the University, have to assess the opportunities and threats in external environment and internal
strengths and weaknesses as well. Next thing is to

The Museum Of Natural History
Museums are information organizations, that is, they are about giving the most up–to–date
information to their patrons. No matter how well their organization, commercially, is wrap it up that
part of them remains the same. From the two museums that I visited, the Henry Ford Museum and
the Museum of Natural History, are clearly about passing information to the patron. There are
differences between them, however, it is the equivalences that I want to focus on as they are what
bind them. The three areas of focus are community, academic outreach, and the stories they share.
Creating a strong and vibrant community is important to museums. Dr. Ronquillo, a leader a
Philippine Archeology museum, so elegantly wrote, "A properly planned community museum can
express and elucidate the community 's cultural wealth through the appropriate presentation and
exhibition of their important natural and cultural heritage" (Ronquillo, 1992). It is the community
that keeps generation after generation coming back to see the history that us humans, the earth, and
beyond have gone through. The journey of information, for most, begins as a child during our time
at school. For the Museum of Natural History, this is quite literal as the museum is a part of the
University of Michigan culture. They have the mascot, the wolverine, College students are going in
and out of there through the day. Most are heading to class or doing work–study, but a community is
still present. But it is just not college

The Stockyard Museum

  • 1. The Stockyard Museum Learning to get out of your confronts zone and do many things you have never done before can be challenging, fun and learning opportunity like mines was. In my family, we do not really try new things like we should because everyone seems to be busy doing other things. Therefore, visting the museum was a huge eye opener for me and very interesting in many ways. These museums are ones you wouldn't usually catch me at which is called "The Stockyard Museum" and "Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame". I chose these two museums because I wanted to step out my tree and try going out doing some different else were instead of something around my neighborhood. Pulling up to their area at first was very weird because this was not an environment I was used to being ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Art Museum The very first time I ever went to an art museum, I was miserable. I was ten years old, and visiting New York City for the first time, and my father who has worked tirelessly to raise my siblings and me to have an appreciation for higher culture dragged us to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I cried within fifteen minutes of being there. All the people made me feel claustrophobic, and I was so set in my misery that I refused to try to enjoy the art. My mother, with all the patience that mothers are gifted with, took me through the museum. She entertained me with stories of when her and my father first fell in love in the city; rushed lunch dates in the museum, the halfway point between his job and her school. Gradually, we moved away from the more heavily populated galleries, and then it happened. I saw the art. I truly saw it and realized why we were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As I grew older I realized that I wanted to give everyone, but especially children, the same access to art that I had been so privileged to have throughout my childhood. I felt, and still feel, that art serves as a reflection of the culture we live in, and if access to art is limited then the creation of art will also be stifled, leading to only a select few voices being recognized. If only a few voices are recognized, then a true reflection of our culture will not be generated. Historically, wealthy white men have dominated the art world, specifically the western art world, and I believe that because of this bias we have missed out on many important stories from diverse backgrounds. While we cannot change the past, it is never too late to start working towards a brighter, more inclusive future. The first step towards this vision is by increasing the accessibility of art education to people from all backgrounds. Art changed my life, and I believe it can change the lives of countless ... • 3. Marinetti Shrem Museum I think the Marinetti Shrem Museum was an interest museum that the students should visit. The museum is not very big comparing to other museum, and they don't even have map for the visitors since it's a small museum. The museum was separated into different rooms; there is room for the art exhibition, and room for student's collection. Personal belonging bags are not allow to bring inside the art gallery, but what I like about the museum was that it provide a self–check locker when I can storage my backpack for free. There are also some information sheets that are placed on the counter when visitors can get it for free. Inside the gallery there is lot of different kind of arts, things like toilets that made of ceramic, paintings, drawings, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Atlanta Museum Of Art On November 7, 1883, an exhibition organized by "May Wright Sewell, her husband Theodore, and a small group of art–minded citizens" (History, 2017) began what would one day become the establishment now known as the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Since that first exhibition, the IMA has gone through several identity changes. They were first named, the Art Association of Indianapolis. Their next identity was as the John Herron Art Institute, which opened a whole new chapter, as they became "a campus featuring both a museum and an art school." (History, 2017) Today, the IMA is one of the largest encyclopedic art museums in the nation. The IMA has had various leadership and staff over the years that have lent to how the museum operates today. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Library and Archives Many do not know that the IMA houses two different libraries. The Stout Reference Library and the Horticultural Society Library provide numerous resources for their visitors, which mainly consist of students, IMA Staff, docents, collectors, researchers and even members of the community. The Stout Reference Library "focuses on the encyclopedia collection of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, while also providing general information about art and art history of all periods." (Stout Reference Library, 2017) The Horticultural Society Library "houses more than 2,000 volumes, including general reference books and books on landscaping, specific plant families and horticulture." (Horticultural Society Library, 2017) I mention the libraries because this semester, I am technically considered a library and archives intern at the IMA. My mentor however is the archivist, Samantha Norling. She has done impressive work at the IMA in such a short time. She jump–started the Archives online portal, which consists of thousands of digitized items from the archives. The IMA received a "generous grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)" (Documenting Modern Living, 2017), that allowed for 17,000 items from the Miller House and Garden archival collection to be digitized. • 5. LACMA Museum Report I went to LACMA, Los Angeles Country Museum of Art with my eldest sister and my little three– year–old sister. Since we went with a toddler I wasn't able to see all the exhibits and galleries due to my little sister being impatient and having an impulse of wanting to touch everything. The first exhibit we looked at was the Art of The Pacific that their art goes back to the 18th century from Hawaiian, Polynesian, and Melanesia. They have different objects that were used for example; they had a stool, feeding funnel and a female figure. The stool was used for cooking and made out of wood and fiber. At the other side of the second floor I came across painting that had canvas paintings of Christ holding a cross and wearing pink under his garment. The 4 paintings that were displayed on this exhibit was unknown to who the artist is. However, scholars claimed to say that the paintings belong to Paolo Veronese. His painting consists of bright color and his essence goes back considered to the Venetian Renaissance paintings. • 6. Autry Museums In Autry article, she stated that "how national histories marred by racial conflict can be translated into narratives of group identity formation" (Autry, 57). Autry is trying to say that museums is a sacred place of memory and trauma. When traveling through these museums the author notice that the most common themes were "capture and displacement from Africa, enslavement, and racial segregation" (Autry 64). When she notices that these were the three main topics being shown to the public then it's a major problem. She felt that the museums had too much power because they were choosing certain information to be displayed about the struggles of African Americans. Therefore, the museum can thrive. She explains that "identities are performed ideologies interrogated and cultural symbols reinvented" (Autry 60). The author is trying to say that certain items are displayed in a museum for a reason by trying to send a certain message. When she talks about how cultural symbols are reinvented it shows that museums is trying to change the people's perspectives by creating a new meaning for a certain symbol. Another problem that the author has noticed is that some parts of the African American culture are disappearing because for example there was a "city's decision to invest in a new commercial enterprise, rather than supporting smaller, more locally–oriented museums." (Autry 75). The government does not support the local museums than it causes issues because some of the history is lost. The memory is lost from the local regional area, which could have added a new perspective towards a certain standpoint. • 7. Museum Misconceptions This thesis focuses on archaeology programming in museums and the common visitor misconceptions about archaeology that museum educators face, especially those promoted by popular culture. By recognizing the notions and understanding of archaeology that visitors and program participants carry with them, museums can create truly educational programs that go beyond the adventure/detective version of pop culture archaeology and successfully introduce the archaeological discipline to the general public. This thesis analyzes and explores what misconceptions of archaeology are commonly held by museum visitors, what their source is, and how museum programming can address these notions. The author of this thesis chose to pursue this research topic thanks to a personal background in archaeology and an interest in education, which coincidentally led them to The University of the Arts Museum ... Each week of this camp has a different theme, one of which is solely dedicated to the subject of archaeology and featuring a mock dig. Although I had a very brief visit at the museum the layout of each room was very well thought out. The three main images that I have found found very interesting are the Noonday Meal by Daniel Ridgway Knight, Harlequine by Jean Beraud and Les Halles also by Jean Beraud. This paper will discuss the formal characteristic of each artwork and will also be compared to some of the artworks studied and discussed in class. The Haggin Museum is a very well organized place, as they place each artwork in rooms and galleries by the time period they were painted in. The way she looks and smiles can be more elegant, but by the way she stands and have her legs exposed seems to show a more alluring and modest behavior. The portrait also shows a large amount of space being give to the woman as the she was posing purposely. The painting itself also sends out a good vibe to the viewers as if they were going to the party also. A image that I found very similar to this one is the A Bar at the Folies–Bergere by Edouard Manet. I have never been into a museum before but for the first time in United States I visited a museum named Fairfield museum and history center along with my friends which is at 370 beach road, Fairfield, Connecticut. At the Fairfield museum we observe exhibition galleries, research libraries, education center and a theatre with a seating of 80 members. In the exhibition galleries we can look at images of our ancient paintings, and the items of emperors and the culture at their time which allows us to see, feel, touch and realize about our historical things and events. ... Walter Mignolo Museum Andy Warhol's Factory, Commonism, and the Business Art Business  Reading Response Due: Walter Mignolo, "Museums in the Colonial Horizon of Modernity: Fred Wilson's Mining the Museum (1992)" in Jonathan Harris, ed., Globalization and Contemporary Art (Oxford: Wiley–Blackwell, 2011): 71–85. Prompt: How does Mignolo characterize the museum as colonial? And what are possible decolonizing options/tactics for reorienting or changing museum practice? In "Museums in the Colonial Horizon of Modernity", author Walter Mignolo goes into depth about the "colonization of being". This idea of colonialization comes from a scaling of cultural systems, such as a hierarchal structure in terms of politics, race, gender, religion, etc. Even in today's culture, the idea of a ranking of groups of people (eventually trickling down into small groups/subcultures of people) helps to control a largely populated society. ... • 12. The Akron Art Museum Akron Art Museum The Akron Art Museum is an institute that combined a historic building heavily adorned with Italian Renaissance revival and classicism with a modern and radical steel and glass structure. The once 1899 Akron post office section of the museum houses the local and global pieces of Impressionistic art from the 1850s. The original building is wrapped with a deep red brick and limestone with triangular pediments and pilasters. In 2007, Coop Himmelb(l)au's architect Wolf D. Prix juxtaposed a new structure titled the Knight building with an obvious theory of contemporary modernity. The knight Building was constructed directly beside the old post office. Instead of demolishing the history, the museum's design is to embrace the past with the future. The original art museum was first opened on February 1, 1922. It was formerly titled as the Akron Art Institute. The institute was located in the basement of the Akron Public Library. The museum was run solely on volunteers due to limited economic funding and finances. The institute offered art classes and exhibitions of local artistry. In 1937, the institute moved into a historic mansion that was soon engulfed in fire. The fire ruined most of the collections and mansion. • 13. Tampa Museum Of Art Back in my school years I used to visit many historical museums, where I learned a lot about the culture and society of the past. As I have always been interested in history and arts, all that was a breathtaking experience for me. I believe that these museums is the best way to get closer to lives of our ancestries and it can help us to see the world in a different way. What's more, I liked the design of the museum inside as well. There were white walls and perfect lighting, and nothing would bother contemplation. In many museums I have visited before there was a lot of distractions, but in this museum everything was done on the principle of simplicity, and that was very pleasing to me. Moreover, when we came inside of the museum, it was almost empty. There were just a few visitors, who were fascinated by various drawings and statues. My overall view of the museum is very positive. I truly enjoyed visiting the museum and observing all of the various art pieces the museum holds. It was very interesting to see the large paintings in the "Dutch and Flemish" collection because I personally have always been a painting type of person rather than sculptures and drawings. The comparisons involve taking a closer look at the history, function, staffing, and programs at museums. Many reasons can lead collectors to starting a private museum. • 17. Museums And Museums Of Museums Maintaining and increasing visitors to museums is essential to the existence of the institutions. Art Galleries, Children's Museums, Anthropology Museums, Zoos, History Museums and other types of museums all depend on a steady stream of people coming to their institutions. Without a robust attendance, gallery halls are just empty, full of objects collecting dust. Objects and artifacts that the public and researchers are not viewing are wasted opportunities to be an inspiration or to help gain new knowledge. Empty exhibition halls would become no better than 15th century collections locked up in private homes of wealthy individuals promoting their affluence. These institutions keep important stories for posterity by collecting, preserving, researching, interpreting objects, living specimens, and historical records (Museum). Even beyond the cultural implications, museums need visitors to keep income flowing into the institutions. Donations are made to all museums in the form of objects and money. Nonetheless, larger donations are usually made to well–known institutions where the donor knows the object will be seen by a vast audience or that a monetary donation will be noticed by a larger number of people. The importance of a sizable, steady attendance rate to a museum is not a complex issue, and with 850 million people visiting a physical American museum, which is more than all major league sporting events and theme parks combined, it might not seem like an issue that the ... This museum's setting was not at all what I had expected and was rather disappointing. Most museums have a very solemn and academic mood that encourages silence and thoughtfulness. The Longmont Museum, however, is set up more like a childrens play area than an actual museum. There needs to be balance between children's' activities and adult academic learning. Not us, we say, as we flit from review book to science lab to English essay. Our parents want to plan something fun for the family, and perhaps we could try that new Italian place? Oh wait, we have to finish those notes. Do we even have time for fun anymore? Our friends are constantly busy on the weekends. The few plans hastily created on the group chat inevitably fade away as we are buried under the gargantuan strains of everyday life. Our minds are drained, exhausted, and oh so very stressed. We could use a break. Maybe even take a trip somewhere. Well, what about that "boring" museum? Although museums strike us as vapid, time–consuming, distant, and just plain stuffy, we should increase museum attendance in order to destress our lives and increase our overall awareness. Unfortunately, museums get a bad reputation as a place where people vacantly stare at paintings and sculptures with glazed eyes, drifting listlessly from room to room. Why spend money on a ticket when the same money could easily be spent on a new book, a colorful pen set, or a delicious meal? There were some pieces that I very much liked and others that I thought were just expensive and made to show off. But my overall impression of the museum was good. About two months later I went to the art exhibit at USD. This exhibit was much smaller but very well done. I liked how everything was arranged. I thought the art works complemented each ... • 33. Museum And Race Essay Museums and Race Museums and institutions have to handle controversies and tough subject matter. There is no easy solution in handling them that will please everyone. However, there some ways that are better than others. For the issues that surround race, I believe there is one way that is better than the rest. I believe the correct way to display works of art or any other offensive work is to give the proper background context of the article. With this proper context, it is necessary to understand the impact the work can have on all different races and to be empathetic with the feeling it can create. To go with this, it is necessary for museums and historic places to be a place of debate. In my analysis I will show several different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If they do not history will be lost. If they chose to ignore controversial topics, they are choosing to ignore history and history then can be lost forever. An example of the role museums play in controversial issues is from the St. Louis Contemporary Art Museum. The museum displayed works of art that displayed civil rights images and images of black women that were digitally altered. Many people found this to be offensive. The museum decided to leave the exhibit up and to put labels to explain that this exhibit could possibly be offensive. Another example with a very different outcome is when Astoria's Museum of the Moving Image decided to take down a controversial webcam that was mounted on a wall outside of Astoria's Museum of the Moving Image. They decided to do this because there were clashes of violence between pro and anti–Trump people (Campanile). These two examples show how museums have roles in controversy and how they can spark debate or worse, they can spark violence. Race is a very sensitive and delicate topic in today's society. As stated by Younker, "Race as a topic forces people to confront their personal and social identities in relation to past and present racial issues. This confrontation can lead to feelings of shock, guilt, shame, apathy, and resistance to the truth" (CONTROVERSY AND COLLABORATION: RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USING THE ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Universal Survey Museum In the essay " The Universal Survey Museum" by Carol Duncan And Alan Wallach they talk about how the Louvre was the first universal survey museum. From what I get from this essay the universal survey museum reminds me of what most would call a traditional museum. Also in this essay Duncan and Wallach state: Museums belong to the same architectural and art–historical category as temples, churches, shrines and certain types of palaces. This comparison is not simply a convenient metaphor: museums share fundamental characteristics with traditional ceremonial monuments. (2–3) I fine this statement to be true. A museum is place for all people to enjoy no matter what other the external factors there are, as soon as, you step through those doors ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An art museum is a place to view the world as separate from ones self. One can view and contemplate events and issues in a quite civil manner. The Art museum is a place to look at the world by ones self not bothered by the ones around. But what happens when people act against these ways. Or put things that should not be there. Then people ultimately change the why the space influence others. For example a modern day guards chair or a fan for circulation. These objects although necessary often distract from the space, especially if the space is an older museum like the Louvre. People would hardly notice if there wasn't such a hard contrasts between old and new. However people often ignore these items of comforted and ultimately change their final memory of a space to make it the most idealistic version of reality. Why should any normal people want to be brought out of their perfect idea of a place they've always wanted to visit? Another thing that is unusual to see in an old museum like the Louvre is a guard of roller blades. I realize this is practical and is probably the easiest and fastest way to get around a place as ... • 35. University Art Museum The University Art Museum Case Analysis Suzana Duran MNGT 372 Professor Quimei Xu I. Relevant Facts/Background The Art Museum is a building on the university premises that is providing a place for the art collection of a university. The building was given to the university by an alumnus around 1929. The wealthy son of the university's first president served as the museum's unpaid director until his death. He brought a few extra collections to the museum during his service, and while serving as unpaid director, none of the collections was ever shown to anybody except a few members of the university's art history faculty. The university practically gave the position to amateur art supporter, Miss Kirkoff, after the director's ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The real issue was not that the new director opened the doors to the public, but the management organization at the University Art Museum. There are three main points as listed by "the elderly statesmen of the faculty" that need to be addressed and clearly defined for the museum: its mission, its direction, and its objectives. These are clearly the focal problems in this case. What the university has to do as a whole is to set organizational goals and develop the plans to accomplish them. The museum is not thriving with the school as well as it has in the past, and the direction of the university is being questioned. III. Critical Analysis The later director wanted it to be a community resource as said in the case, and the museum gained bad reputation during that time as an academic resource. The building was designed by Miss Kirkoff to help university and its alumni in their pursuit of knowledge. It failed greatly to support the university and the public. At the time, the museum expected to hire a director and allow them to shape the museum in any way they see suitable. The university on the other hand should have identified the direction they want the museum to head in and create guidelines for a director to fallow. First, top managers at any organization, and in this case are the Dean and the board of directors of the University, have to assess the opportunities and threats in external environment and internal strengths and weaknesses as well. • 36. The Museum Of Natural History Museums are information organizations, that is, they are about giving the most up–to–date information to their patrons. No matter how well their organization, commercially, is wrap it up that part of them remains the same. From the two museums that I visited, the Henry Ford Museum and the Museum of Natural History, are clearly about passing information to the patron. There are differences between them, however, it is the equivalences that I want to focus on as they are what bind them. The three areas of focus are community, academic outreach, and the stories they share. Creating a strong and vibrant community is important to museums. Dr. Ronquillo, a leader a Philippine Archeology museum, so elegantly wrote, "A properly planned community museum can express and elucidate the community 's cultural wealth through the appropriate presentation and exhibition of their important natural and cultural heritage" (Ronquillo, 1992). It is the community that keeps generation after generation coming back to see the history that us humans, the earth, and beyond have gone through. The journey of information, for most, begins as a child during our time at school. For the Museum of Natural History, this is quite literal as the museum is a part of the University of Michigan culture. They have the mascot, the wolverine, College students are going in and out of there through the day. Most are heading to class or doing work–study, but a community is still present. But it is just not college ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Panorama of the City of New York it's called the jewel in the crown of the the collection in Queens Museum. The Panorama was built by a team of more than 100 people working for the great architectural model makers Raymond Lester and Associates over the course of three years. Lester referred to aerial photographs, Sanborn fire insurance maps, and a range of the other City material as the Panorama had to be accurate because of the fact that this was between reality and the "world's largest scale model." This was one of the must successful attractions in 1964 when it was introduced. The Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass was so beautiful by the way it lighted up the whole room. It was just amazing how lamps were built and how each and every single one has its own design.
