Office Space Movie
Office space is a movie that is directed and written by Mike Judge. The movie is about employees who are not very happy in their jobs. The movie is
set in a firm that is called Initech. The movie has a character name Peter Gibbons. He works for the company Initech. His job is not very exciting for
him. On top of his job not being very exciting, he also has outside factors that are in his life. The other characters in the movie are Milton, Samir, Bill,
and Michael. Bill is the boss and does not have very good leadership. He does not really try to help with tasks that the company has to do. Also, he does
not treat the employees like he really should. The next character Milton is not technically an employee of the company anymore, but still gets ... Show

He is not seen as one in the actual company, but as one outside of it. He is not seen as a leader inside the company because he actually begins to miss
numerous days of work. Peter has zero motivation to do any of the tasks that he is assigned because his boss does not motivate him or give him any
reasons to want to complete the tasks. However, the way he conducts stealing money from Initech, shows some of his skills as being a leader. A
character who would not be seen as a leader in any sort of way is Milton. Throughout the entire film is voice is never project in a way that a leader
should do. It is more muffled and quiet. Also, he truly never is given any kind of leadership role in the film. He also can be seen as unstable and not
leader like because he had burned down the building. As seen in the movie, there are not really any great leaders in it. When a company lacks good
leadership, it will never exceed to its possible full

IFSM 304 5125: Ethics in Information Technology
Paper A–Application of a decision–making framework to an IT–related ethical issue
IT Related Ethical Issue The computer is a great invention that is used in every field including corporate offices and private homes. Computers have
made our day to day tasks easier to do and made a great impact in our society that is still evolving and changing each day. Workers are able to do their
jobs more efficiently and allow interconnectivity between computer users all around the world through the Internet. Computers has made it very easy
for people to copy and steal intellectual property like music, movies and computer software programs like Photoshop and Microsoft office. The ... Show

His roommate offers a free copy for him to use on his laptop but his roommate does not have the authority to do this from Microsoft who makes the
software. This is considered stealing because Microsoft is not making a profit.
Step two/Identify the stakeholders
The people who are impacted by this situation are Emanuel, his roommate and Microsoft Corporation. Emanuel's roommate offered a free copy of
Microsoft Word to Emanuel. If Emanuel accepts the offer he benefits greatly because he will be able to complete his assignments efficiently in his dorm
room instead of using the college library but Microsoft will not profit and the roommate will have broken the law and potentially receive a penalty or
fine for sharing a licensed product. But if Emanuel denies his roommates offer and purchases his own software, Microsoft will profit and no law will be
broken. Morally and ethically this is the right decision.
Step three/Consider the Consequences
If Emanuel accepts the offer he benefits greatly because he will be able to complete his assignments efficiently in his dorm room instead of using the
college library but Microsoft will not profit and the roommate will have broken the law and potentially receive a penalty or fine for sharing a licensed
product. But if Emanuel denies his roommates offer and

The Pros And Cons Of PGH Badulla
You are the health informatician of PGH Badulla. There are no ICT officers in the hospital. On your 1st month in the hospital you realized that all the
computers in the hospital are installed with pirated copies of Microsoft Office ®.
Draft a strategic plan to address the above situation that you can forward to the hospital director for his perusal and approval.
As the health Informatician of PGH Badulla, my first task after realizing that all the computers in the hospital are installed with pirated copies of
Microsoft office is to identify what are the ramifications of continuing to use these pirated copies in the hospital system.
First of all I would like to pay attention to the harmful effects it would have to the computers and the data itself.

The other option and more preferred one is to go for free and open source software.
In order to make an informed decision I would like to elaborate on the pros and cons of using either original Microsoft office package or free and open
source software.
Free and open source software as the name suggests is often free or at least much more cost effective, whereas original Microsoft software is highly
costly. Therefore using OSS as Libre office or Apache Open Office will save a huge amount of money rather than going for original Microsoft office.
And we can install OSS in all the computers of the hospital without having to worry about licenses.
OSS is often evolving to the betterment as a large membership is involved in developing it and fixing bugs. And since it's legal upgrading the software
should not be a problem for us.
Since OSS are more flexible we can modify the software as we wish to suit our requirements.
Another benefit is that we are not restricted to a propriety system with vendor designed products which are compatible only with each other when using

Fice And Parks And Recreation
The Office and Parks and Recreation are two widely popular shows that capture their audiences with their unique story lines, "mockumentary" style,
and captivating characters. These two shows have won many awards and are praised by critics and viewers. When analyzing these shows it was
important to pay attention to their narrative structure. Also, breaking the fourth wall gave these shows a twist that was different from other situation
comedies. The characters are loveable and funny and truly develop the simple plots. The Office and Parks and Recreation are two situation comedies
with a firm grasp on the concept of narrative structure with intriguing characters that have developed through their many seasons. The Office and Parks
and Recreation have succeeded in many aspects. They have been nominated numerous times, won many awards, have positive reviews all over the
internet, and continued their show throughout many years. Both of these shows are situation comedies in the workplace environment. The Office is
based in Scranton, Pennsylvania and it is a functioning paper company called Dunder Mifflin. The show was created as a faster paced, Americanized
version of the British version of The Office (TV.com). A documentary film crew came in to this paper company to follow the lives of the employees and

Mr. Fredrickson: A Short Story
Kevin Smith worked at the AWL as Head Executive of Marketing. He spent years working towards where he is now, but he always wondered about his
boss Mr. Fredrickson. Since the day his application was accepted he heard rumors from his co–workers. Bad rumors about murder and disappearances.
But one stuck out to Kevin the most, that Mr. Fredrickson is a warlock with magical powers that can get rid of anyone he believes is getting in his way
of success by banishing them to a different time period. Kevin thought this was ridiculous.
One day, Kevin joyfully bounced out of his new convertible Mustang GT and strolled toward the towering office building as its blue tinted windows

So he refuted, "But sir, I feel that we could raise profits if we–"

"Smith. I want to see you in my office before your lunch break." Mr. Fredrickson said as Kevin rushed down the hall towards his office. Kevin didn't
work well that morning. He spent too much time feared of what his boss would do to him. If the rumors were true, he would face something far worse

An Analysis Of Bach 's ' The On The Spirits Of Music Lovers '
The title Clavierubung means keyboard study or exercise, a term that probably referred both to the keyboard skill of the performer and the inventive
powers of the composer. Bach's full title added that the music was to "refresh the spirits of music lovers, omitting the pedagogic implications of the
candid instruction" that headed the title of the inventions and sinfonias. The Clavierubung consists of four major parts: 1. The six partitas, published in
1731. 2. An overture and concerto (1735). 3. Four duets and organ chorales (1739). 4. Goldberg variations (1742). This essay focuses on the first part –
the partitas. The meaning of the term partita is complex. Partita is the Italian form of the word and it developed as a variation technique. In Germany it
was used to refer to a collection of contrasting dances played one after another on festive occasions. It was this usage that was adopted by Froberger
and other German composers of the 17th century when they applied it to the collections of dance movements for the keyboard. It seems that Bach was
aware of the many implications of the term partita. It is possible that the suites which he assigned this name were so designated because they more
nearly fulfilled the varied implications of the name that did his other suites. In the keyboard partitas Bach adhered to the old practice of maintaining the
identity of key throughout an entire piece. The variety of forms in the partitas is immediately apparent. Each one of them opens

The Office Satire
In March of 2005, a comedy television show known as The Office premiered in the United States. The Office is a mockumentary, a satirical style of
comedy that mimics the form of a true documentary film, including private interviews with each character. The winner of multiple Emmy awards and
Emmy nominations, The Office, aired for nine seasons. With ratings of 8.8/10 from IMDB and 88% from Rotten Tomatoes it is no surprise that the
show is still widely popular today. The mockumentary documents the daily lives of the office employees at Dunder Mifflin paper company in Scranton,
Pennsylvania. The majority of the show takes place in the company office, hence the name of the show, The Office. Although The Office is a comedic

Jim does not verbally communicate his feelings about Pam to her directly or to the documentary interview crew. Instead, he shows his feelings through
subtle hints or actions throughout the episode. One example of a verbal hint is during an interview with the documentary crew in which Jim says
"...Um, Pam's favorite flavor of yogurt, which is mixed berry." Although this seems very minor, it foreshadows Jim's deeper feelings for Pam. In
addition to Jim revealing the subtle hint about his feelings using the yogurt description, in the "Pilot" episode he also exhibits his feelings towards Pam
in an indirect way. This is evident by his facial expressions and body language before and after Roy interrupts Jim and Pam's conversation towards the
end of the episode. Before Roy enters the scene, Jim and Pam are both talking and laughing. They had plans to get drinks after work with the other
employees, when Roy becomes a part of the conversation and commands Pam to leave work with him instead. Pam leaves the room and Jim and Roy
are left alone together, creating a tense and awkward scenario. It is at this point that we first see Jim's animosity towards Roy. The "Pilot" episode
illustrates an example of the beginning of what a real, believable relationship could like. The episode shows that feelings someone has for another
person can take time to fully develop, and not all relationships are

A management style is an overall method of leadership used by a manager. There are two main management styles: Autocratic (leader makes all
decisions unilaterally) and Permissive (leader permits subordinates to take part in decision making and also gives them a considerable degree of
autonomy in completing routine work activities). Combining both categories with democratic and directive styles give four distinct ways to manage:
Directive Democrat: Makes decisions participative; closely supervises subordinates.
Directive Autocrat: Makes decisions unilaterally; closely supervises subordinates.
Permissive Democrat: Makes decisions participative; gives subordinates latitude in carrying out their work.
Permissive Autocrat: Makes decisions unilaterally; gives subordinates latitude in carrying out their work. Managers must also adjust their styles
according to the situation that they are presented with. Additionally, there are four quadrants of situational leadership that depend on the amount of
support and guidance needed: telling, delegating, participating and selling. Different styles depend on the situation and the relationship behaviour and
task behaviour. What's more, skills in leadership, critical thinking and organization are three general attributes that employers look for by an executive

Essay On How To Vote
What resource will be most helpful to you as you decide if and how to vote? How can you help prepare others for election day?
I have really already established a set of values and wants that I would like to be able to see in a representative, but just as Black wrote about being
overcome by the ballot, I also felt I was unprepared for the long list of elected offices on the ballot. I recognized some of the names on the ballot, but
other than that it was a guessing game. The resources that will be most helpful when I go to vote again will be learning more about each candidate and
their positions, learning actual government offices and what the job entails, and creating a priority list. During the next election depending on the type

We have to remember that politics are complex and the government has already solved the easy problems and we must accept the complexity of the
process, Black says. By knowing this we can honor God by doing our best to listen to our neighbors and be understanding like he would want. The
government depends on compromise and the ability for each representative to not only express their views but listen to others who oppose them. We
must learn to listen to our neighbors to be able to create a society that is great in the eyes of God. One must be prepared to debate over issues they
believe are right and wrong, but never stray away from your own personal beliefs and values just because someone does not agree. Black says to look
outside of politics to help address problems such as in your church or in your family. She says, "Model Christian values in your family, and set a
positive example for others" (Black 197). She states that we should honor and respect your public officials because most are dedicated public servants
trying to do their best to make a difference. Finally, Black says instead of criticizing political leaders we do not agree with, we should pray to God for

I believe that Roland Barthes' "Mythologies" helps the most to think about why these things are grouped together. All three of them are taking a pre–

phenomena and reworking our ideas of them by exposing the deeper meaning within them. All three of the listed works give new semiotics to an
original text, helping the reader to adjust their thinking and analyze the work in a new context. It takes works of the past and reworks them to make

The Case Of A Builder Carrying Out Work At New South Wales...
Introduction
In the case of a builder carrying out work in New South Wales under a construction contract for a commercial office space, legal principles would need
to be understood and followed by the builder to ensure that both the building of and the finished project fits the imposed legal requirements. In New
South Wales, the NSW Commercial Building Code specifies the criteria that all contemporary commercial buildings and developments must comply
with. For a project the size of the $20,000,000 commercial office space development there would undoubtedly be a series of legal principles that must
be complied with. A Contractual agreement and details such as the construction period, insurance specifics, allowances, defects liability period, date of
commencement and practical completion, payment and much more must be comprehended by all parties (particularly the builder) to ensure the project
is built to the correct standard and within the designated time specifications.
The facts
Latent defects are discovered after the $20,000,000 commercial office space construction project is completed by the builder.
The plaintiff holds that the latent defects in the office space are a result of defective building works and thus claims that there has been a breach of
contract as the builder acted negligently as they had a duty to take reasonable care in the construction of the offices.
The plaintiff therefore seeks to claim pure economic loss and sue the builder for damages.

A Schenkerian Analysis of "Preludio" from Bach's Unaccompanied Violin Partita No. 3
"A single creative genius lies behind all of Bach's music in all genres...his work exhibits a stylistic uniformity that transcends the differences between
all the genres in which he composed...In short, Bach's music in all the genres sounds like it is by Bach." – Joel Lester
Very few theorists touch upon the topic of motivic and structural coherence in Bach's dance suites. The keyboard and lute suites deservedly have more
published analyses than the string suites – considering there are simply more of them – leaving the cello and violin suites pristine and practically
untouched, and unjustifiably so. The most obscure are the violin suites, particularly the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The de–emphasis of the returning 3 as a passing tone from 4 to 2 lends importance to the incomplete upper neighbor A, supported by IV. This self–
contained tonal area stretches over half of the Preludio. A reprise of an opening passage at the initiation of the A prolongation gestures its independence
from its surrounding, indeed a smaller organism enveloped within the larger animal. This is evident through the internal auxiliary cadence to A that
accompanies the tonal area IV. In retrospect, the IV is already a long–term goal from the beginning. The first 58 measures properly set the stage for the
emergence of IV. The first step on the path to IV is the movement to VI as a short–term goal. This is done by first moving to G# (m.39) through F#
(m.37), creating a third progression E–F#–G# in the process. The G# is employed first in the top voice as primary tone and then in the bass as pedal
point, also the fifth to the incoming C# (m.51) [FIG 4. EX. 1]. The C#, in a sense, is a midway stopping point from E major on its way to A major. A#
in measure 53 leads to B, creating yet another third progression G#–A#–B. The B is to be read not as V of E but as II of A, unfolding to tonic through
two consecutive fifths B–E–A [EX.2]. As we shall see, the contour of the bass forecasts what is to come; additionally this prelude within the Preludio
presents the material for further elaboration and development.
Now firmly in A, a memorable passage

If his desk was a dangerous forest, then surely his car was the site of a nuclear detonation. He remembered then that he had meant to clean it before the
date.
Nathan threw all his rage into organizing. He might as well do it now, since the keys were nowhere in sight. He collected wads of paper and wrappers
from the floor and unearthed ancient artifacts from beneath the seats. He even took time to straighten the glove–box.
When he stood back and looked at his work, he couldn't help but feel a little proud. At least, his mother would be proud, he thought.
He was proud, that is, until the memory of his original task came back to smack him in the face.
He dashed back into the office, his mind blank of all places they could be.
"I still can't find them!"
"You spent a while out there, man. I thought you might have."
"No,"
He thought he'd take one last glance at his office. He was running out of time.
But as soon as he entered the cubicle, his eyes latched on to the very object he was looking for. The way the bright metal reflected the buzzing
fluorescent lights, at that moment, was beautiful indeed.
"Found 'em!" he shouted in triumph, holding the jingling key ring high above his head. The soothing sounds those keys made was the finest of music.
He would

Making A Proactive Change Management Decision
For a few years now, I have considered making a proactive change management decision of going back to the academic arena of teaching continuing
education classes in September for the fall semester. In the past, I have taught evening continuing education classes to adult students, who were enrolled
in a medical billing certificate program. I miss teaching in the classroom, and I thoroughly enjoy training students for the workforce. The courses I
taught were technology geared toward Microsoft Office software. Since I made the decision to no longer teach and return to the university to complete
my bachelor's degree, this transitional change is something that I have been considering. However, there are internal and external forces that exist that
may impact on extending my work schedule, and I expect to encounter some resistance from family members supporting me in working longer hours
that may impact my final decision.
Personal Change The transitional change of returning to the classroom affords me the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience teaching
multiple Microsoft Office applications. According to Petty and Thomas, (2004), "Many adults are having to set their sights on obtaining sufficient skills
to be more marketable for employment" (p. 473). Teaching students the techniques to successfully operate Microsoft Office applications, such as
Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint has been very rewarding to me and is also something I perform in my daily

Office Space Facts
1. Gather the Facts The premise of the movie Office Space is about a group of workers, Peter, Michael, Samir, Tom, and Milton, work at Initech who
are fed up with their jobs. The movie starts with Peter, the protagonist, going through his typical day of work at Initech. Various annoyances have been
accumulating and Peter views his days at work as a waste of time and has no motivation to do anything productive. In addition to these brewing issues,
Peter's boss, Bill Lumbergh, is known for being a stickler to rules, however trivial they may be. For example, when Peter forgets to include the cover

How do open source benefit suites contrast with Office 2013–and does it bode well for your association to actualize one instead of the financially
authorized, omnipresent offering from Microsoft? We think about three toolsets on logic, value, and gimmicks to help you choose...
For quite a while, philanthropic associations had a decision of two office benefit suites: Microsoft Office and Microsoft Office. The prevailing business
offering, Office in the long run yielded some notoriety when a feasible open source contender, Openoffice, rose, took after by an alternate open source
alternative, Libreoffice.
How do these open source suites vary from Microsoft Office? Should your office consider one of them, and will they bode well for your clients and
framework?
To help you choose, we looked at key peculiarities of the most recent form of Microsoft 's suite, the Office 2013 Professional release, to Apache
Openoffice 4.0 and Libreoffice 4.1, both discharged in July 2013. Both open source suites offer an instrument called "Base" that is like Microsoft

distributed application Publisher, yet for the reasons of this article we 'll take a gander at the expression handling, spreadsheet, and presentation
instruments.

According to Microsoft.com, a new version of Microsoft Office 2003 will normally cost anywhere between $400 – $500, depending on which version

that version, and even for those that do, $150 can still be a lot of money, especially for a student, and $400 is much more than most people would want

approach of not interrupting the user to try to help, I can understand how many people would prefer Office's user friendliness.
When it comes to standard features, Writer seems to have pretty much everything that I would look for, including automatic spellchecker, thesaurus,
advanced formatting, the ability to insert graphics, and macros among other things. One feature I have not found in Writer, though, is the automatic
grammar checker. I'm not sure if this is really a bad thing, since it seems that Word's grammar checker was not extremely useful, because many times it
would suggest something that was wrong, but I found that it still would occasionally catch things that I miss, and so it would be nice to have something
like that just as a backup.

Modern Technology The office's worker walk into every day has changed with time, but the changes cannot be compared to the transformations that the
tools of work have undergone. Today, every employer must incorporate digital tools into the physical office space to keep up with the modern trends of
doing business. Apart from incorporating digital communication to physical office space, an employer can choose to operate a virtual office. Such
business locations only exist in cyberspace and enable the employees to work from anywhere around the world. What employees need is phones,
laptops, and access to reliable internet. Business owners can adopt the use of office suites fit for the kind of business they are engaged. Many
companies are already using the Office 365 which enhances collaboration and communication and also eliminates barriers created by physical distance
and time zones. Adoption of virtual offices is one way of cutting costs and improving work flexibility compared to renting the physical office space.
Moreover, there are virtual office plans that provide business owners with professional mail handling services, reception, and call forwarding. Some
virtual plans also include occasional conference room rental and temporary workspace rental for professionals who are home–based.
Strategic Office Location Almost all business owners know that choosing the location for a business is crucial in

Mahler Rewrote Bach 's Orchestral Suite Contrapuntally
Mahler rewrote Bach's orchestral suite contrapuntally. In fusing different suites into one, Mahler had to contend compositionally with two different
pieces consisting of various dance movements with different instrumentation and tonic keys. The treatment of these varied polarities can clearly
illustrate Mahler's efforts to create a holistic vision. In choosing five movements from two suites, Mahler paired the selected movements, first–third and
second–fourth, thus increasing the polarity within the arrangement. On the other hand, he lessened the polarity in the paired movements by fusing the
Rondeau and Badinerie into one movement, an A–B–A structure that would formally balance the concluding two Gavottes. The elements of key

The Badinerie moves to the b minor region. The following movements, Air and Gavotte, excerpted from the Third Suite in D Major, are more tonally
stable than the preceding ones because of their binary form and their major mode, they move most frequently to the D Major region. The beginning in
the different key from that of the ending and the diverse explorations of the key regions provide various levels of polarities and are finally integrated in
the last movement, along with their forms, The exploration of carious key regions and the defined levels of polarities of these regions in part A and
ritornelli of the Overture are mitigated in the Rondeau–Badinerie, and the degree of polarities the least occurs in the Air and Gavotte. It can be
explained with the contexts of their formal structures, the frequent changes of key regions occurred even in the episode of the Overture, which is
supposed to be tonally stable in the tradition of ritornello form but became stable in the refrains of the Rondeau. There are also specified some
rhythmic, motivic, and intervallic analyses in these music.
First is rhythmic similarities between the Rondeau and Badinerie, and the Gavotte. Similarities in local metric and rhythmic patterns, and in pitch
relationships are crucial for Mahler's combining of the Suite movements. Whereas similar elements are found in the material from Bach's original
works, the additional organic coherence is highly explored by

The Importance Of Social Media
Perez 1 Krystal Perez Professor Sharifian GOVT 2305–71432 October 30, 2017 Assignment Two Social media has been radically changing the way we
communicate in recent years.
For government officials, social media has become a helpful tool in outreach to its constituents. 1 Take the 2016 U.S. Presidential Elections, for
instance. Candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump used social media, especially Twitter, as a medium to spread awareness and rally public
opinion. However, with all forms of communication, one must take caution when sending a message. Government officials are no different than any
average social media user, and they too, must use social media sites wisely. Although social media can make a government official's job easier in
communicating with constituents, it can also be damaging to their career if one is not careful. When using social media, government officials must
think before they post, and they must think carefully when choosing someone to manage their social media accounts.
Before one posts on social media, they must question the content and the tone of their message. This tip is not only useful to private citizens, but for
government officials as well. There are four suggestions a government official can follow before they post on social media. First, one should articulate,
or voice out, their ideas. Second, one must choose their words and tone of voice carefully. Third, one must keep in mind that their social media is being

An Analysis Of Maurice Ravel 's Le Tombeau De Couperin
They say what's old is new again. There is nothing new under the sun. What goes around comes around. History repeats itself. These may be just a few
banal sayings, but they might hold true for classical music as well. Maurice Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin is one such example. Written during the
neo–classical and neo–baroque movements of the early 1900s, this clever piece ties together French musical traditions, baroque styles, and World War I
in just six short pieces. This essay will detail the origins of the suite form and the neo–classical neo–baroque movement, and compare Le Tombeau de
Couperin with Bach's French Suite no. 5 in G Major, BWV 816. Le Tombeau de Couperin was written from 1914–1917 during World War I. Ravel
served in World War I as a truck driver but was discharged in 1916 due to his frailness and poor health (Sebastian, 2010–2016. The war affected Ravel
deeply, and it served as part of his inspiration for Le Tombeau de Couperin. Each of the six movements is dedicated to friends that Ravel lost in World
War I, as listed in the Dover edition score:
I. Prelude: to the memory of Lieutenant Jacques Charlot
II. Fugue: to the memory of Secondary–lieutenant Jean Cruppi.
III. Forlane: to the memory of Lieutenant Gabriel Deluc.
IV. Rigaudon: to the memory of Pierre and Pascal Gaudin

World Relief Nashville : An Office Suite
World Relief Nashville a. World Relief Nashville is located in an office suite in Nashville on the side of a main road, though the office suite is not
visible due to the amount of other occupied offices and the trees blocking the view of the office suites. This conveys to me that World Relief doesn't
spend unnecessary money on building space, which can allow them to place more resources in the work they do. Much of the visible work done at
World Relief isn't performed in their office, as workers and volunteers live out the mission of World Relief in the public. The World Relief logo is
located on the outside of the door of the building. Since it is located in an office complex there is not much company visibility beyond this. The

The New Technology in Google and Microsoft
With the growth of the Internet, and the popularity of Software as a Service, many applications that have traditionally been used offline have moved
into the cloud. Companies providing on–demand service through the Internet have reinvigorated one of the most iconic pieces of computer software,
the productivity suite. Two such providers are Microsoft and Google. Through their Office 365 and Google Apps services, respectively, businesses can
leverage the benefits of cloud without having to worry about the large upfront cost that productivity software used to incur. Microsoft, an industry
leader with their Office suite of software products for over two decades, now offers much of the same functionality through the Internet with Office
365. Whereas their products would previously cost over a hundred dollars per user up front, Microsoft offers Office 365 for as little as $5 per user per
month. Some of the features that it includes are business–class email, web conferencing, a public website, file sharing, shared calendars, and web
versions of the most popular components of Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote) ("Compare Office," n.d.). The company also offers, for a
small amount more, the ability to get access to its desktop–based applications as well. This makes it an attractive option for those companies that may
still be transitioning to the cloud, or for those who still rely on a particular part of the Office suite (Access, Publisher, etc.). In contrast, Google is

Computers have made our day to day tasks easier to do and made a great impact in our society that is still evolving and changing each day. Workers are able to do their jobs more efficiently and allow interconnectivity between computer users all around the world through the Internet. This is considered stealing because Microsoft is not making a profit. Emanuel's roommate offered a free copy of Microsoft Word to Emanuel. If Emanuel accepts the offer he benefits greatly because he will be able to complete his assignments efficiently in his dorm room instead of using the college library but Microsoft will not profit and the roommate will have broken the law and potentially receive a penalty or fine for sharing a licensed product. But if Emanuel denies his roommates offer and purchases his own software, Microsoft will profit and no law will be broken. Morally and ethically this is the right decision. On your 1st month in the hospital you realized that all the computers in the hospital are installed with pirated copies of Microsoft Office ®. Draft a strategic plan to address the above situation that you can forward to the hospital director for his perusal and approval. As the health Informatician of PGH Badulla, my first task after realizing that all the computers in the hospital are installed with pirated copies of Microsoft office is to identify what are the ramifications of continuing to use these pirated copies in the hospital system. First of all I would like to pay attention to the harmful effects it would have to the computers and the data itself. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The other option and more preferred one is to go for free and open source software. In order to make an informed decision I would like to elaborate on the pros and cons of using either original Microsoft office package or free and open source software. Free and open source software as the name suggests is often free or at least much more cost effective, whereas original Microsoft software is highly costly. And since it's legal upgrading the software should not be a problem for us. Since OSS are more flexible we can modify the software as we wish to suit our requirements. Another benefit is that we are not restricted to a propriety system with vendor designed products which are compatible only with each other when using an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. An Analysis Of Bach 's ' The On The Spirits Of Music Lovers ' The title Clavierubung means keyboard study or exercise, a term that probably referred both to the keyboard skill of the performer and the inventive powers of the composer. Bach's full title added that the music was to "refresh the spirits of music lovers, omitting the pedagogic implications of the candid instruction" that headed the title of the inventions and sinfonias. The Clavierubung consists of four major parts: 1. The six partitas, published in 1731. 2. An overture and concerto (1735). 3. Four duets and organ chorales (1739). 4. Goldberg variations (1742). This essay focuses on the first part – the partitas. The meaning of the term partita is complex. Partita is the Italian form of the word and it developed as a variation technique. In Germany it was used to refer to a collection of contrasting dances played one after another on festive occasions. It was this usage that was adopted by Froberger and other German composers of the 17th century when they applied it to the collections of dance movements for the keyboard. It seems that Bach was aware of the many implications of the term partita. It is possible that the suites which he assigned this name were so designated because they more nearly fulfilled the varied implications of the name that did his other suites. In the keyboard partitas Bach adhered to the old practice of maintaining the identity of key throughout an entire piece. The variety of forms in the partitas is immediately apparent. Each one of them opens ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One example of a verbal hint is during an interview with the documentary crew in which Jim says "...Um, Pam's favorite flavor of yogurt, which is mixed berry." Although this seems very minor, it foreshadows Jim's deeper feelings for Pam. In addition to Jim revealing the subtle hint about his feelings using the yogurt description, in the "Pilot" episode he also exhibits his feelings towards Pam in an indirect way. This is evident by his facial expressions and body language before and after Roy interrupts Jim and Pam's conversation towards the end of the episode. Before Roy enters the scene, Jim and Pam are both talking and laughing. They had plans to get drinks after work with the other employees, when Roy becomes a part of the conversation and commands Pam to leave work with him instead. Pam leaves the room and Jim and Roy are left alone together, creating a tense and awkward scenario. It is at this point that we first see Jim's animosity towards Roy. The "Pilot" episode illustrates an example of the beginning of what a real, believable relationship could like. I have really already established a set of values and wants that I would like to be able to see in a representative, but just as Black wrote about being overcome by the ballot, I also felt I was unprepared for the long list of elected offices on the ballot. A Contractual agreement and details such as the construction period, insurance specifics, allowances, defects liability period, date of commencement and practical completion, payment and much more must be comprehended by all parties (particularly the builder) to ensure the project is built to the correct standard and within the designated time specifications. The facts Latent defects are discovered after the $20,000,000 commercial office space construction project is completed by the builder. The plaintiff holds that the latent defects in the office space are a result of defective building works and thus claims that there has been a breach of contract as the builder acted negligently as they had a duty to take reasonable care in the construction of the offices. The plaintiff therefore seeks to claim pure economic loss and sue the builder for damages. Legal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The de–emphasis of the returning 3 as a passing tone from 4 to 2 lends importance to the incomplete upper neighbor A, supported by IV. This self– contained tonal area stretches over half of the Preludio. A reprise of an opening passage at the initiation of the A prolongation gestures its independence from its surrounding, indeed a smaller organism enveloped within the larger animal. This is evident through the internal auxiliary cadence to A that accompanies the tonal area IV. In retrospect, the IV is already a long–term goal from the beginning. The first 58 measures properly set the stage for the emergence of IV. The first step on the path to IV is the movement to VI as a short–term goal. This is done by first moving to G# (m.39) through F# (m.37), creating a third progression E–F#–G# in the process. The G# is employed first in the top voice as primary tone and then in the bass as pedal point, also the fifth to the incoming C# (m.51) [FIG 4. EX. 1]. The C#, in a sense, is a midway stopping point from E major on its way to A major. A# in measure 53 leads to B, creating yet another third progression G#–A#–B. The B is to be read not as V of E but as II of A, unfolding to tonic through two consecutive fifths B–E–A [EX.2]. As we shall see, the contour of the bass forecasts what is to come; additionally this prelude within the Preludio presents the material for further elaboration and development. Microsoft Office vs. OpenOffice.org Essays Microsoft Office vs. OpenOffice.org According to Microsoft.com, a new version of Microsoft Office 2003 will normally cost anywhere between $400 – $500, depending on which version you get. While Microsoft also has a $150 "Student and Teacher Edition" which is the same at the $400 Standard Edition, most people do not qualify for that version, and even for those that do, $150 can still be a lot of money, especially for a student, and $400 is much more than most people would want to spend simply to type a document occasionally. These prices seem even more extreme in light of the fact that there are many free alternatives to Microsoft Office. One of the most popular and well known alternatives is OpenOffice.org, which is ... Whether OO or Office has the right approach to how much to help the user really is a personal preference, and while I prefer OO's approach of not interrupting the user to try to help, I can understand how many people would prefer Office's user friendliness. When it comes to standard features, Writer seems to have pretty much everything that I would look for, including automatic spellchecker, thesaurus, advanced formatting, the ability to insert graphics, and macros among other things. One feature I have not found in Writer, though, is the automatic grammar checker. I'm not sure if this is really a bad thing, since it seems that Word's grammar checker was not extremely useful, because many times it would suggest something that was wrong, but I found that it still would occasionally catch things that I miss, and so it would be nice to have something like that just as a backup. • 57. Mahler Rewrote Bach 's Orchestral Suite Contrapuntally Mahler rewrote Bach's orchestral suite contrapuntally. In fusing different suites into one, Mahler had to contend compositionally with two different pieces consisting of various dance movements with different instrumentation and tonic keys. The treatment of these varied polarities can clearly illustrate Mahler's efforts to create a holistic vision. In choosing five movements from two suites, Mahler paired the selected movements, first–third and second–fourth, thus increasing the polarity within the arrangement. On the other hand, he lessened the polarity in the paired movements by fusing the Rondeau and Badinerie into one movement, an A–B–A structure that would formally balance the concluding two Gavottes. The elements of key relations, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Badinerie moves to the b minor region. The following movements, Air and Gavotte, excerpted from the Third Suite in D Major, are more tonally stable than the preceding ones because of their binary form and their major mode, they move most frequently to the D Major region. The beginning in the different key from that of the ending and the diverse explorations of the key regions provide various levels of polarities and are finally integrated in the last movement, along with their forms, The exploration of carious key regions and the defined levels of polarities of these regions in part A and ritornelli of the Overture are mitigated in the Rondeau–Badinerie, and the degree of polarities the least occurs in the Air and Gavotte. It can be explained with the contexts of their formal structures, the frequent changes of key regions occurred even in the episode of the Overture, which is supposed to be tonally stable in the tradition of ritornello form but became stable in the refrains of the Rondeau. There are also specified some rhythmic, motivic, and intervallic analyses in these music. First is rhythmic similarities between the Rondeau and Badinerie, and the Gavotte. Similarities in local metric and rhythmic patterns, and in pitch relationships are crucial for Mahler's combining of the Suite movements. • 63. The Importance Of Social Media Perez 1 Krystal Perez Professor Sharifian GOVT 2305–71432 October 30, 2017 Assignment Two Social media has been radically changing the way we communicate in recent years. For government officials, social media has become a helpful tool in outreach to its constituents. 1 Take the 2016 U.S. Presidential Elections, for instance. Candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump used social media, especially Twitter, as a medium to spread awareness and rally public opinion. However, with all forms of communication, one must take caution when sending a message. Government officials are no different than any average social media user, and they too, must use social media sites wisely. Although social media can make a government official's job easier in communicating with constituents, it can also be damaging to their career if one is not careful. When using social media, government officials must think before they post, and they must think carefully when choosing someone to manage their social media accounts. Before one posts on social media, they must question the content and the tone of their message. This tip is not only useful to private citizens, but for government officials as well. There are four suggestions a government official can follow before they post on social media. First, one should articulate, or voice out, their ideas. Second, one must choose their words and tone of voice carefully. Third, one must keep in mind that their social media is being read by others who are not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These may be just a few banal sayings, but they might hold true for classical music as well. Maurice Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin is one such example. Written during the neo–classical and neo–baroque movements of the early 1900s, this clever piece ties together French musical traditions, baroque styles, and World War I in just six short pieces. This essay will detail the origins of the suite form and the neo–classical neo–baroque movement, and compare Le Tombeau de Couperin with Bach's French Suite no. 5 in G Major, BWV 816. Le Tombeau de Couperin was written from 1914–1917 during World War I. Ravel served in World War I as a truck driver but was discharged in 1916 due to his frailness and poor health (Sebastian, 2010–2016. The war affected Ravel deeply, and it served as part of his inspiration for Le Tombeau de Couperin. Each of the six movements is dedicated to friends that Ravel lost in World War I, as listed in the Dover edition score: I. Prelude: to the memory of Lieutenant Jacques Charlot II. Fugue: to the memory of Secondary–lieutenant Jean Cruppi. III. Forlane: to the memory of Lieutenant Gabriel Deluc. IV. Rigaudon: to the memory of Pierre and Pascal Gaudin V. World Relief Nashville is located in an office suite in Nashville on the side of a main road, though the office suite is not visible due to the amount of other occupied offices and the trees blocking the view of the office suites. This conveys to me that World Relief doesn't spend unnecessary money on building space, which can allow them to place more resources in the work they do. Much of the visible work done at World Relief isn't performed in their office, as workers and volunteers live out the mission of World Relief in the public. The New Technology in Google and Microsoft With the growth of the Internet, and the popularity of Software as a Service, many applications that have traditionally been used offline have moved into the cloud. Companies providing on–demand service through the Internet have reinvigorated one of the most iconic pieces of computer software, the productivity suite. Two such providers are Microsoft and Google. Through their Office 365 and Google Apps services, respectively, businesses can leverage the benefits of cloud without having to worry about the large upfront cost that productivity software used to incur. Microsoft, an industry leader with their Office suite of software products for over two decades, now offers much of the same functionality through the Internet with Office 365. Whereas their products would previously cost over a hundred dollars per user up front, Microsoft offers Office 365 for as little as $5 per user per month. Some of the features that it includes are business–class email, web conferencing, a public website, file sharing, shared calendars, and web versions of the most popular components of Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote) ("Compare Office," n.d.).
