Essay On Frankenstein Perspective
Point of view and perspective are very influential tools. Seeing different perspectives can change
another person or observer s perspective. Thoughts and experiences influence perspective heavily. We
can see this in our political climate, in psychology, and the way people treat one another based on their
experiences, thoughts, and previous actions. This carries on to Frankenstein is the excerpt; he has a
very heavily varied perspective than those of the villagers , and there is a distinct difference in
thought. Readers learn the thoughts going through Frankenstein s mind, as well as his good deeds,
actions, and curiosity with a will to learn and discover. If the story were to be told from the point of
view of a villager, it would probably be very negative and completely different to Frankenstein s
perspective.
Actions are very important in telling what something or someone is like. Future actions can be
estimated by someone s previous actions; actions usually reflect the character and personality of
someone. Positive actions are almost always associated with a good hearted, positive person, and
negative actions usually correspond with wretched, wicked, fearful, hateful, and negative people.
These staples of action and character seem to apply to Frankenstein as well. In paragraphs 4 6, he
discovers that the family he usually observes suffers from poverty. What s amazing is that when he
heard and understood this, he refrained from taking their food again. For a monster who

Persuasive Essay on Layoffs

Persuasive Essay: Layoffs within a Company
The decision to lay off employees cannot be the easiest for companies. There is a variety of different
reasons why employers layoff their employees, and the laws in many states allow them to at any time
as long as the reason does not contravene state or federal law. Being let go from your job can happen
by firing or layoff, and though neither is, usually, desired, the layoff is typically the method that
carries less of a stigma. Firing occurs with one worker for any reason that, usually, involves job
performance, unethical behavior or personality differences. Meanwhile, a layoff, ... Show more

The more you can provide them with the peace of mind that comes with knowing what is going on,
the more there will be in the office. Involve employees in brainstorming for solutions. Even if layoffs
are inevitable, there will be a ripple effect through the office, including the possibility of an increased
workload for many individuals. Get the employee s input on this process and allow them to have a say
in how those new responsibilities are addressed. The more you make them feel they have a voice, the
more loyal they will be through difficult times (Zatzick, Zhoa, amp; Tingling, 2014).
In an article Layoff: A Four Letter Word in the Economy Martin (1998 2014) states that, It has been
difficult in recent years to find good people. However, sometimes it is better to have a position vacant
than to hire poorly especially in management. One bad manager can take down tens to thousands with
them (Martin, 1998 2014, para.10). Maintain a flexible workforce, hire contractors for short term
needs, and hire temporary or seasonal help for short term work. Hire part timers who are willing to
work only during the peak periods of need. Offer job sharing options to current employees (para11).
Create a contingency plan. It is better to have well thought out and developed plan over a quickly
devised scheme. It is also much better off to have a plan to review if something bad happens than to
have to invent something in the heat of a crisis (Martin, 1998 2014, para.11).

This article contains a complete history of Cloud Computing up to current day and the speculative
future of Cloud Computing. I also address the concerns and potential benefits of Cloud Computing.
Introduction to Cloud Computing
Cloud computing has become a successful platform for delivering service oriented computing. The
applications of cloud computing are practically limitless. With the right middleware, a cloud
computing system could execute all the programs a normal computer could run. Potentially,
everything from generic word processing software to customized computer programs designed for a
specific company could work on a cloud computing system. People are able to ... Show more content

Salesforce.com allows companies to eliminate the hardware and software needed for their internal
network instead salesforce.com takes that responsibility. Companies only pay for what they need,
upgrades are automatic and they can increase or decrease their services easily. Salesforce.com paved
the way for both specialist and mainstream software firms to deliver applications over the internet.
The next development in cloud computing was Amazon Web Services in 2002, which provided a suite
of cloud based services including storage, computation and human intelligence through the Amazon
Mechanical Turk. Amazon Mechanical Turk holds a database of human intelligence tasks these are
tasks that people can login to complete for money or credit. These tasks can range from organizing
photos to debugging software. These are all task that can only be performed by people and not
computers. In 2006, Amazon launched its Elastic Compute cloud (EC2) as a commercial web service
that allows small companies and individuals to rent computers on which to run their own computer
applications. Amazon EC2 presented a virtual computing environment, allowing companies to use
web service instances with a variety of operating systems, they can load them with custom
applications, manage their network s access permissions, and run their service using as many or few
systems as they desired. In 2009, Web 2.0 hit its stride, Google and others started to offer browser

How Is Hollywood Portrayed In Saving Private Ryan
Steven Spielberg creates a master piece that entails many triumphs and loses. The movie, Saving
Private Ryan is not your typical World War II movie. This movie was released July twenty fourth,
1998. It is about the triumph of the United States over Germany. An amazing aspect of this film is how
the plot does not make the viewer emotional; but the graphic scenes of interactions, war, and the
dialogue of the soldiers involved in the war. I love how it shows a variety of soldiers that act
differently and all have their very own attributes that both hither or benefit their squad. This movie
brings the viewer closer than ever to a firsthand portrayal of what happened to the people that were
involved in World War II. The film also shows people a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
War is a terrible thing that happens in people s lives but it is also necessary. If there was no war would
people be people anymore? It is in people s nature to disagree and want to be right and if they cannot
have what they want sometimes it leads to a fight. This movie shows the struggle just to even stay
alive in a firefight. Soldiers have to be tactically smarter than their enemies. The message can be seen
differently and comprehended differently to each viewer. This film is a must see for anyone remotely
interested in war or a good fight scene. I would compare this film to Thin Red Line which is another
fantastic film to watch. The movies may have completely different plots but the imagery is just the
same to climb into the psyche of a solider. The plot, actors, and imagery all play a massive part in the
role of this movie. The imagery is what ties it all together with the bloodied water in the intro of the
movie or the solider getting slowly killed with a knife placed in his

Susan B Anthony Dares To Vote And Don T Give Up The Fight
The stories Susan B Anthony Dares To Vote and Don t Give Up The Fight are similar but they also
have their differences. The stories have the similar themes of perseverance because they both push
themselves to get to their goals. Susan B. Anthony in the story Susan B. Anthony Dares To Vote kept
persevering to earn equal rights for all women in the country even though she could possibly get put in
prison. Ava Clark from Don t Give Up The Fight persevered to prove that it doesn t matter if she is a
boy or girl, she can still reach the same goals as everyone else. While these stories have the same
themes, Susan B Anthony is trying to change the lives of women across the country while Ava Clark is

The story Susan B. Anthony Dares To Vote and Don t Give Up The Fight both try to change lives for
the better, but while Anthony is trying to change the lives of everybody in the United States, Ava is
trying to make life better for herself. For example, in the passage Susan B. Anthony Dares To Vote,
Susan replies to the judges fine by saying, And I shall earnestly and persistently continue to urge all
women... that resistance to tyranny is obedience. This shows that Anthony is trying to change rights
for women because she pledges to the judge that she will not stop urging women about the unfairness
until they get what they deserve. While Anthony helps women, Ava helps herself by persevering to get
what she wants. For example, Ava showed perseverance and how she helps herself when she tells her
principal about what has happened at the race which got both Mr. McCoy and Jacob sent to the
principal s office. This proves that Ava helps herself because even though she was afraid of telling
anyone what had happened she did anyway and got the antagonist s in trouble. Also, nobody else but

Stereotype Threats Of College Students
Stereotype Threats of Undergraduates
Chassydi Turner
Education Psychology
Dr. Sandra Hull
April 23, 2015 Stereotype produces numerous situations when most are negative in nature. Many
studies have been extended since first reported by Steele and Aaronson in earlier years. The term
stereotype threat is a threat that diminishes performances, beginning from a negative stereotype about
one s own social group (Steele, 1997; Steele Aaronson 1995). Stating that stereotypes can harm
performances on tasks that are stereotyped. When being associated with a negative stereotype or being
judged by it, pressure is built to confirm that the stereotype is incorrect. Some stereotypes are
associated with certain types of jobs, which causes stereotype threat to play a role. Several things are
thought to be correlated with stereotypes on performances.
In the research article by (Ihme Moller, 2014) specific questions were being addressed for guiding the
studies. First researchers wanted to determine whether negative stereotypes of college students who
has chosen the career of teaching? Second can the performance of the students is affected by
stereotype threat. The studies were used to determine whether or not stereotype threat affects students
training for a career in teaching. It is important because stereotype threat can have a detrimental effect
on learning and prefaces (Rydell et al., 2010; Taylor Walton, 2011) and also cause students to drop
out. It is hypothesized

How Does Gmo Affect Society
The Impact of Genetically Modified Food on Society Genetically modified foods, also known as
GMOs, are a debated issue in today s society. People argue that all this new technology is causing
more harm than it is good. GMOs are not anything new: humans have been modifying crops long
before the introduction of genetics and modern biotechnology. What are genetically modified foods?
About 8000 years ago, humans began practicing agriculture in order to have a sustainable food source.
To ensure that their crops didn t perish because of the climate, pests, or other circumstances, they
began to select which plants were the best to grow and harvest; all this was in order to have a better
food supply, less loss of crops, or better nutritional content. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

However, organizations such as the National Research Council, the American Association for the
Advancement of Science, and the American Medical Association have issued studies or statements
regarding the safety of GMOs indicating that there is no evidence that GMOs present unique safety
risks compared to conventionally bred products (Acosta, 2014). In fact, these studies have shown that
the benefits of supporting the production of GM foods far outweigh the risks; hence, there should be
no immediate reason to ban or restrict the research and improvement of such food products.
Nevertheless, it would be beneficial to monitor and regulate the advancement of GMOs, and
occasionally update the public on the progress that has been made and how this will affect their food
products. Presently, the United States does not have any federal legislation that is specific to
genetically modified organisms (GMOs) (Acosta, 2014). Instead, GMOs are regulated by way of
legislations pertaining to the different areas that GMOs might encompass. This is because the United
States approach to regulating GMOs is [focused] on the nature of the products, rather than the process
in which they were produced (Acosta,

Argumentative Essay On Stickers
Plate 1
GRAFFITI: STICKERS
Sticker art (also known as sticker bombing, sticker slapping, and sticker tagging) is a form of street art
in which an image or message is publicly displayed using stickers. Stickers leave a mark that can
affect a person s mood, cause thought, and inspire a reaction. Stickers are cheaper, more effective, and
less risky than other forms of graffiti (tags, throw ups, etc). The most common stickers found in Lower
Manhattan include large scale wheatpaste stickers and small vinyl stickers that are difficult to remove.
As long as stickers are being put up faster than they weather or are cleaned, they are accumulating.
For cities, stickers provide a constant maintenance battle.

The Story Of A Cottage
In a cottage far far away there lived a girl named June. June lived with her mother and father. Every

Jim Jones And Charles Manson Persuasion
Cults
Two of America s most famous cult leaders are Jim Jones and Charles Manson, they are powerful
leaders that drove their followers to commit insanely violent, and crazy acts. Today, many people
wonder what gave those men such power to influence their followers to commit crimes.
Jim Jones, for example, was a visionary and he used religion to influence his followers to join his
community . Jones persuasion was highly successful among the homeless, dispossessed, lonely, and
lower middle class. These individuals were drawn in large numbers to the Peoples Temple. Using
reams of personal documents and types of propaganda to recruit more people to Jonestown. Jonestown
gave them fellowship, a dream of social justice, social services clinics for free health care, drug
rehabs, legal aid, and a sense of purpose. Jones followers gave him all their worldly possessions,
money, and all the power he needed even though he was just as average as his followers. Jones didn t
start out as this powerful leader he came to be , he was born into a bitterly unhappy home in Crete,
Indiana. Jones himself was also a drug addict, a sexual predator among both sexes, and somehow he
accomplished to fake to a large amount of people that he was against everything that he was still doing
in secret (George Russell). Jim eventually found his place as a member of a small Christian church in
his home town. Jones said he joined the religion because he never felt accepted, and he was drawn to
fellow outcasts. He soon acquired a gift for charismatic preaching and took it to neighborhoods that
were populated primarily by African American in the 1950s. It was in these neighborhoods where he
preached racial inclusion and gathered a mixed race congregation. This did not sit well with many
people in this era before the civil rights movement, and it added to his progressive reputation. He
became head of the Indianapolis Human Rights Commission, which is a large reason he would recruit
different ethnicities to join his temple. Jones also in order to get more members used informers in his
audiences to get information out of the unsuspecting faithful that he could reveal as evidence of
clairvoyant powers, and he hired fake invalids who would rise from

Essay on Kierkegaards View on Faith
Kierkegaards View on Faith
Kierkegaard was a Danish philosopher in the mid 1800s. He is known to be the father of
existentialism and was at least 70 years ahead of his time. Kierkegaard set out to attack Kant s rational
ethics and make attacks on the Christianity of our day. He poses the question, how do we understand
faith? He states that faith equals the absurd. In Fear and Trembling , he uses the story of Abraham and
his son Isaac to show an example of faith as the absurd. The story of God asking Abraham to sacrifice
his son Isaac signifies a break in the theory that ethics and religion go hand in hand. He shows how the
ethical and the religious can be completely different. I by no means conclude that faith is something

Abraham is known to be the father of faith. Abraham went beyond infinite resignation and made the
leap into faith. This is the peak on which Abraham stands. The last stage to pass from his view is the
stage of infinite resignation. He actually goes further and comes to faith (Fear and Trembling, 14).
Kierkegaard also revealed that to have faith, you must have passion which is not something we can
learn, we must experience it for ourselves. No general or universal rules apply to our choice of what to
believe. Whether a person has the right to say this must be his own decision; whether he can come to
an amicable agreement in this respect is a matter between himself and the eternal being, who is the
object of faith (Fear and Trembling, 21). Only the individual can decide. To him, faith was absurd
because you have to step out of your universal, surd self and make the leap into the absurdity of faith.
In conclusion, Kierkegaard decides that faith is paradoxical and completely absurd. He also concludes
that it has nothing to do with the ethical realm of reason and is actually much higher. In order to
perceive the prodigious paradox of faith, a paradox that makes a murder into a holy and God pleasing
act, a paradox that gives Isaac back to Abraham again, which no thought can grasp, because faith
begins precisely where thought stops... (Fear and Trembling, 22).

The Real Business Cycle Theory Model
The two main models that draw most attention from the neoclassical period are the Solow model in
the long run and the Real Business cycle incorporated with the Ramsey consumption or Euler equation
in the short run. The Ramsey model in the short makes a more accurate depiction of what
consumption and production in an economy would look like. The model in the short run follows a
Dynamic stochastic general equilibrium; this type of model is more complex and allows for it to show
economic growth in a closed cyclical model. The Ramsey model, which is the The Real Business
Cycle Theory model in the short run, is far superior to the long run Solow model. However, the long
run model by Solow has its benefits because it represents a closed economy producing one good with
constant capital accumulation; yet, it fails to account for technological changes and other shocks that
take place in an economy. This model is used over such a long period that it becomes a very
theoretical generalization. Both these models explain growth in the economy, but the short term Real
business cycle theory is a more accurate representation of economic growth as it depicts a direct
correlation between consumption and production and accounts for economic shocks. These two
models aim to explain how economic growth takes place due to changes in production and
consumption. Economists have constantly tried to explain how growth occurs in an economy. This is
done by the creation of different models and

Through religion and dance, they were able to release themselves to their gods and at the same time
engage in a form of passive resistance. At the forefront of all this was enslaved women, who passed
down and kept alive a disproportionate amount of the cultural heritage of Africa that survived in
slavery. They did so through their roles as mothers and healers, daughters and workers. They were, in
short, strong women who felt it is their duty to uphold traditional values.
In many African cultures, women were honoured and this attitude towards them did not change within
the Caribbean. Many of the religious rites and rituals took on an altered form in the Caribbean, but the
role of women was constant. The proof is in the legacy that has been left behind. The same customs
that enslaved Africans brought with them are still present today. For instance, women have handed
down lessons through the art of storytelling, an art which they have maintained. Their stories tell of
ancient people in ancient times but the morals are relevant even today, as are told in the Haitian

Gothic and Romanesque Cathedrals Essay
The Romanesque style transformed into the Gothic style during the Middle Ages. This happened for
many reasons. The Romanesque period was a time of trial and error while the Gothic period was a
time of advancements in inventions. Religion was an important factor in the shift between
Romanesque and Gothic. The locations of the two types of cathedrals also contributed toward the
change between Romanesque and Gothic, as well as the power of the relics and the community to
raise funds for the Gothic cathedrals. There are several reasons the architecture of the cathedral

beliefs in an architectural way. The pointed arch was their first invention that removed the awkward
look of disproportional arches at the sides of the Romanesque cathedrals. The pointed arch also
directed the weight of the vault downward to help support the massive ceilings. The second
advancement of the Gothic architects solved problems of the Romanesque period. The Romanesque
cathedrals had thick walls that gave the feeling of confinement, and their massive arches seemed ill

Maya Angelou s poetry supports female defiance of stereotypes. The poem Phenomenal Woman
presents a female speaker who defies stereotypes in multiple ways. First, the speaker notes that she

womanhood and sexuality, as previously discussed. Secondly, the speaker, who can be assumed to be
Angelou, places men on their knees, in positions of servility to her, which contrasts the usual

would prefer her in this state. The speaker rhetorically asks the oppressors, likely male and white

that the speaker will not give up and give the male oppressor the power over her that he wants. Such
defiance of patriarchal stereotypes marks Angelou s feminism in her

Saboteur s Journey According To Dhanbahadur
She saw in her dream what was about to happen, looming around her in her unconsciousness, creeping
into her when she was asleep, a shadowy premonition of what was coming to shatter her. Waving his
hands to her, Dhanbahadur had disappeared in the fog. And she had run after him off the cliff. Soon,
the day came when her dream turned reality. This time, however, she did not run off the cliff; she got
no time to stop him. He just disappeared.... When it happened, it was the twilight of the year the time
when jasmines, planted in her courtyard, gave off a pleasant scent and before marigolds, in their sheer
delight, waited to be plucked, and some reluctant old, dry Dhunge Dhara quenched their thrust as the
water hammered down on once barren

My Passion For Cooking Essay
I ve always had a passion for cooking. When I was a little girl I loved to cook and enjoyed learning
about all sort of cuisines. Today, I am still in the kitchen and every chance I get, I cook. Some days it
isn t even fancy or a hard recipe. Some days it s a classic, but something that I ve created. Cooking is
my time to be me. It s the art form I pride myself at being good at and I don t have to try (unlike
drawing...not so good at that!). Like a child getting a new toy, I get excited when I discover new foods
and ingredients. My mind feels at home when it s in the process of creating in the kitchen. It s fun
getting the ingredients, piling them all on the counter, then chopping, stirring, adding a pinch of this
and a splash of that. Then I have to wait for everything to cook. Finally the reward of my creativity is
taken out of the oven and placed on a plate. The creative work I ve done is fully realized when I can
share my work with others.
Cooking is pure joy and fun for me. I cook as a way to ground myself, to think clearly and to relax for
a change. I enjoy researching ingredients I ve never heard of before, what pairs best with this spice or
that vegetable. When someone strikes up a conversation with me about cooking, I could go on for
hours, so be prepared! Through cuts, burns, failed recipes, forgotten ingredients, I still find joy in the
art of cooking. Losing this passion would surely be like losing myself.
As a way to challenge myself, I started selling

Administrative Tribunals And Decision From Other Common...
4. Administrative tribunals and decision from other common law countries
Beside the judicial functions of courts, administrative tribunals are another official bodies that adhere
the rights to settle the disputes, and they are established within federal and state jurisdictions. The well
established practice of the doctrine of precedent is also found in the operation of administrative
tribunals, where the inferior tribunals follow decisions of superior but those decisions are not
necessary carry the formal precedential authority. In most cases, disputes parties in the tribunals could
appeal to the court, where the tribunals are bound by the precedent of the court.
The decisions from other common law jurisdiction such as United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canadian
and United States have no authority on Australian courts but Australian judges rather relied on them as
an argument in the judgment particular when confront with the absence of binding authority.
Traditionally, the decision of superior English courts are paid the highest regards, especially when
there is a conflicting of foreign court decisions, and are frequently cited by Australian judges owing to
the fact that British is the mother nation of Australia.
E. Ratio decisis and Obiter dicta

Tale of Two Coaches
Running Head: Tale of Two Coaches and Leadership
Tale of Two Coaches and Leadership
Randal J. Reutzel

October 27, 2011
Abstract
Coaching and leadership seem to be synonymous with each other, in that if you re a high caliber coach
you must be a great leader, how else would you have achieved your success. While coaching in the
NCAA division 1 basketball the goal is to win national championships, while also being a mentor to
your students. Bobby Knight is a great basketball legend at Indiana, with a past of outrageous
unacceptable behavior to the fans and to players, while also having one of the best collegiate records
of all time. Coach Krzyzewski was also a great coach, was mentored by coach ... Show more content

(Bob Carter) Integrity is the ability of a leader to live and lead with some principles and take
responsibility for their actions. The ability to possess integrity should build confidence in your team.
Integrity is probably where the two coaches will separate their styles of leadership. Coach Knight
through the years did several things to damage that integrity, through his actions in Panama or ways he
degraded assistant coaches or lecturing teams with the use of props of soiled toilet paper. There were
many times where his actions did not represent the role which he was given and he made little effort to
change unless he was forced. Coach K built much of what he was on his integrity; he stuck up for his
players many times. Once his team was graded by the student paper, it was the fact that the paper
portrayed the players as instruments of entertainment and ego indulgence; this infuriated the coach,
which he later apologized. What Coach K stood for was a caring, communication and trust within the
team, and that was what he wanted for the whole student body, and why his fan base was so strong.
The last important trait style of leadership is the ability for a leader to seek out good pleasant social
relationships. The leader should be thought of as friendly, outgoing, courteous, tactful and diplomatic.
Coach Knight, I believe, started out his career with these traits as

Argumentative Essay On Zoos
When I was young, I was always curious. I was always running all over the place, looking and
discovering, like every young child does. My mother tried to sate my incredible curiosity, and in one
of her endless missions, I was brought to the zoo. I loved it. It was incredible to see God s creation all
around me. Everything was beautiful in its own way. At the zoo, I learned to respect and wonder at the
creation of God. Zoos have been invoking wonder for centuries. They started as menageries,
collections of animals held by rulers, and ended up as education and conservation centers (O Brien).
They are powerful organizations. Zoos should be helped and supported, because they help the

After all, every year, 175 million people visit American zoos, to learn about or see animals, according
to the Statistic Brain Research Institute ( Zoo Statistics , 1). This large amount of people visiting
means that zoos need a lot of people running them. There are many jobs provided by zoos. Zoo
directors, curators, zookeepers, and veterinarians are just a few of these ( Wildlife Careers ). All these
jobs help lower the unemployment rate, and help to create a stronger economy. Naturally, jobs help the
local economy. But zoos also influence the local economy in other ways. Zoos help boost the local
economy. A study by the Cincinnati Zoo revealed that visitors spent $23.2 million on off site spending
in Cincinnati ( Zoo Boosts Local Economy with Big Regional Impact ). Zoos bring in tourists, who
spend money on hotels, tour guides, public transportation, and in many more places. This extra profit
helps raise the standard of living, and, of course, boosts the economy. Humans benefit from zoo
revenue, but they aren t the only ones. Revenue generated by zoos help increase the zoo animal s
standard of life. Some zoos are updating their habitats, to make conditions better for the animals, such
as the Lied Jungle Exhibit at Omaha s Henry Doorly Zoo (Nichols and Tarpy, 9 14).Such operations
are extremely expensive. In order to pay for such things, they use the revenue generated from
customers of the zoos. Zoos not only use revenue to pay for the care of animals; they also use it to
help conserve endangered animals as

Overall, my evaluation has revealed that my physical and nutritional health are both very good. For
example, most of my nutrient averages for the two days I tracked were okay, right on target. As well as
that, my physical health was very good; I had exercised 60 minutes most days and my exercises
exercised different parts of my body well. However, I could improve in some aspects of my health,
including my saturated fat levels. Although I could improve in some ways, I have excellent health

of the recommended range for the daily intake of protein. Also, my total amount of fat was in the
middle of the recommended range. This is immensely good, as eating too large amounts of very fatty
food could cause a person to gain lots of weight which can be dangerous towards his or hers health

The Nazi Killing Fields And Nazi Family Policy
This investigation addresses the topic of to what extent the role of German women in Nazi society was
only confined to traditional roles such as motherhood. The books Hitler s Furies: German Women in
the Nazi Killing Fields and Nazi Family Policy: 1933 1945 provide different perspectives on the
perceived role of German women. Nazi Family Policy is important in examining Nazi ideology
regarding family. Hitler s Furies challenges these beliefs of the Nazi Policy by discussing the active
roles played by German women in Nazi genocide. The source Hitler s Furies: German Women in the
Nazi Killing Fields is a book written by history professor and author Wendy Lower, and published in
October 2013. It focuses on the role of German women in the Nazi genocide and informs people of the
female brutality of Nazi women. It contains specific accounts of German women from multiple
professioned who witnessed and took part in the Nazi s need to fulfill Hitler s prophecy. Lower uses
post Soviet documents, field studies, and interviews with witnesses to explore the participation of
women. This source may prove valuable by challenging the beliefs that German women under the
Third Reich were victimized on the home front. It gives historians a perspective that German men and
women were more alike than different by playing a much more active role than just massive
complicity in the spread of Nazi ideology. However, this source is limited as the author relies heavily

Myself Autobiography
I may seem like an average teenager. And like any other, I have an annoying eight year old brother and
a strict set of parents. I am a girl who writes in a blue spotted diary just three times a month, and
totally immersed in reading science fiction books. Getting dressed for the day would be me wearing
some sort of team shirt, most likely the New York Giants or the New York Yankees. I have a voracious
appetite for science. When my birthday or Christmas rolls around, I beg my parents to get me some
sort of robotic kit and coding to play around with. But even though I may seem like an average teen,
one thing that separates me from others is that I have grit. Math has not always come easy for me. I
was disappointed when I learned that I didn t make it into pre algebra, and all my other friends did. I
landed in Accelerated Math. The lessons that were taught were things that I already learned at my free
time at home, and I felt very bored. But with the help of my parents, I decided to push myself into
Algebra, learning that I could get there in seventh grade. I remember bringing about a dozen algebra
books from the library, just trying to understand the basics of algebra. I was elated to find out that I
got bumped into Algebra that year, but I very quickly found myself struggling. Before, I would never
touch the textbook to do any problems and I would always get an A+. But it was a cold slap in the face
when I got into Algebra. I remember when I had my first few quizzes, I

General Environment Analysis of the Airline Industry
The U.S. airline industry has been in a chaotic state for a number of years. In 1993, a U.S. government
report indicated that the industry had Lost huge amounts of money in the past three years, and it has
never made a sustained, substantial return on investment... According to the Air Transport Association,
the airline industry trade association, the loss from 1990 through 1994 was about $13 billion, while
from 1995 through 2000, the airlines earned about $23 billion and then lost about $35 billion from
2001 through 2005. Early in 2006 the association expected about a $10 billion loss in 2005.
In 1903, the Wright brothers first successful flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina marked the
beginning of the aviation industry. In the early ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through these agreements, airlines can share facilities and operational costs (e.g., maintenance
facilities, sales offices) and negotiate volume discounts on large purchases. Passengers benefit from
lower prices (due to lower expenses) as well as optimized routes and pooled loyalty rewards,
especially in regards to international travel. Since the deregulation of the airline industry began, airline
ownership has been limited to companies and individuals of the operating country. Consolidation is
beneficial in two ways for airline companies, as it typically reduces redundant operating costs and
raises revenues through higher fares.
The airline industry can be separated into four categories by the U.S. Department of Transportation:
International
130+ seat planes that have the ability to take passengers just about anywhere in the world. Companies
in this category typically have annual revenue of $1 billion or more.
National
Usually these airlines seat 100 150 people and have revenues between $100 million and $1 billion.
Regional
Companies with revenues less than $100 million that focus on short haul flights.
Cargo
These are airlines generally transport goods.

The Purpose Of The Kaufman Speech To Language Protocol
The Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol targets the production of specific phonemes, then builds
on these skills to elicit word level productions and eventually conversational speech. In addition, SLPs
utilize phonological processes to help the child produce target words. For example, if the target word
is bubble, but the child is unable to spontaneously produce the word, the SLP can instruct the child to
say /bub/, deleting the final consonant /l/ for easier production. As the child progresses, the
phonological processes are faded and whole words are produced. Consequently, speech intelligibility
is improved. 4. Describe the purpose of the approach. The purpose of the Kaufman Speech to
Language Protocol (K SLP) is to shape the child s current level of speech production into higher levels
of motor speech coordination. Essentially, this therapy technique aims to isolate speech components
and increase motor skills at a reasonable pace. When simpler oral motor movements have been
mastered, children s therapy focus will shift to higher level speech motor movements, along with
correct use of morphology and syntax. It is a treatment approach for children with childhood apraxia
of speech (CAS), other speech sound disorders, and expressive language challenges.
With this technique, speech is broken down into syllable patterns, vowels, and consonants. For
instance, if a child struggles with the consonant /p/, then therapy sessions would focus on that concept
solely. The

The Horrors Of The War II
Until The End Even in our darkest hour, never despair, the light will come sooner than expected. It
was December 23rd , 1943, and there they were, sitting in a ghost town that was once the fine city of
Rostock. The soldiers were waiting patiently in the bombed out, abandoned airplane factory that still
looked like a war zone. The area was littered with skeletons of World War II jets and engines that once
fueled Hitler s Wehrmacht and mighty blitzkriegs that helped him conquer most of Europe in its hey
day. Hitler s army went through Europe decimating buildings and works of art that had great historical
value. The Nazi soldiers gave no thought to what they were doing, but only wishing to please the
Furor. The bones of these mighty planes looked as sorrowful as the men were now feeling. The putrid
smell of dead bodies and spent casings hung heavy in their nostrils. The entire company was chilled to
the bone by the hard sleet and snow that had been pelting them relentlessly for the past15 hours. They
were in the northeastern corner of Germany, nestled between the mighty Warnow River and the harsh
Baltic Sea in a city that once was bustling and thriving before the allies invaded through Demark and
Sweden and the red Russians barreled through Poland. The men were glad it was almost empty,
lending a sense of peaceful serenity that almost had a way of making them feel safe. It was so quiet;
almost too quiet. Gunnery Sergeant Ronald L. Carter, a tall, athletic, blonde

Third Way Essay
The Third Way separated itself from the old party s agenda and endeavored to border itself from the
Conservative governments of Margaret Thatcher and John Major that ruled until 1997. Giddens, the
political theorist of the Third Way, believed the old class based divisions of the left and right were
redundant. He wanted to create no more than an outline of an integrated political programme, covering
each of the major sectors of society. Kramp argues such a massive initiative proved Giddens intent to
design a coherent political agenda and an alternative to total capitalism and complete socialism.
Kramp asserts Giddens believed that reformist governments could no longer rely on traditional statist
programmes claiming that campaigning from the centre would illicit mutual support while still
remaining dedicated to radical measures. A point Tony Blair included in his 1997 speech at the
European Socialists Congress, where he stated the Left had to modernise or die. He stressed to
Congress the need to abandon old left statist policies claiming .... our task today is not to fight old
battles but to show that there is a third way, a way of marrying together an open, competitive and

College Facilites for Division III Athletics Essay
Division III athletics have become more then high school athletes holding onto a dream and
competing at the non scholarship level of the National collegiate athletic association. From 2004 to

From 2004 until 2012 the average cost per athlete has also gone up, from $3,500 to $5,800. This
money does not even touch the levels that are being spent in Division I, but Division III athletics are

The point of facilities has been to give the wow factor to visiting prospects. In almost all cases the
facilities at a college will be better then the high school or junior college the student athlete is coming
from. It is also believed that having better facilities will directly correlate with recruiting success,
especially against rival colleges. The belief that new facilities bring in better recruits was tested by the
research into the subject. Although new facilities did attract more initial interest from recruits
(Schneider, 2012) the final decision about which school to attend came down to other different factors.
In the study of The impact of Athletic Faculties on the Recruitment of Student Athletes college athletic
prospects were asked why they choose the college they did. With factors such as playing time,
location, tradition, education, facilities, teammates, and school color to name a few, the results were as
follows. Non Scholarship athletes that had no option to receive finical aid from the school they

The Battle Of Inter State War
Bull defines war as organized violence carried on by political units against each other (184). With
respect to this broad definition, both he and Waltz posit models of conflict which can effectively be
used to analyze the sources of modern violence. The warrior scholars employ the theories of multiple
political philosophers including Kant and Rousseau in order to build theories that encapsulate the
complex variables which lead to armed engagement. These theories can be extrapolated in order to
explain the causes of inter state war, and to provide explanations of violence in the modern global
theatre. Overall, Waltz s argument of the three images is extremely persuasive. The logical
underpinnings of the models and the ways in which they collaborate are, for the most part, concrete
and well thought out. His theory provides for three basic ideas through which the origins of all conflict
can be distilled. First, Waltz (1959) provides that thinkers such as Spinoza place the responsibility of
violence at the feet of human imperfection and lack of reason. Secondly, he postulates that domestic
policy of a state will lead to conflict (Waltz 1959). Finally, the theorist channels Rousseau s The Social
Contract to explain warfare as a symptom of international relations (Waltz 1959). The ways in which
these three ideas correlate are what make Waltz s explanation so compelling. The first two of these
images, the man and the state, explain how a country behaves internally. The

Rhyme Scheme Of Invictus
Poem Analysis of Invictus (by: William Ernest Henley) By: Nina Lu
The poem Invictus written by William Ernest Henley consists of sixteen lines and is divided into four
stanzas. The rhyme scheme is abab cdcd efef ghgh and there are exactly eight syllables in each line.
This rhyme scheme and the specific syllables to each line help the phrases and lines flow together
smoothly. The theme of the poem is staying strong and thriving in the face of adversity and it is very
strongly present throughout the poem. In the first line of the first stanza, the word night could
symbolize the speaker s suffering and adversity because a common association to the word night is
darkness, which is also commonly associated with hard times in a person s life. ... Show more content

However, in the face of such dark situations, the speaker is still indebted to whatever gods there may
be for his strong and unconquerable soul. This line also makes reference to the title of the poem
because the word Invictus is Latin for unconquerable. In addition, this line connects back to the theme
because the speaker has a strong soul that can t be conquered, even in difficult situations. The second
stanza can be understood to mean that even in the midst of horrible circumstances, he is still staying
strong. This stanza begins with a metaphor that compares circumstance to an animal because both
have the common characteristic of a strong and deadly grip. Furthermore, the bludgeoning of chance
can be comprehended to mean the punishments of fate and even with these punishments of fate, the
speaker s head is still unbowed. He is still staying strong through these hardships, which also relates
back to the theme of staying strong and thriving in the face of adversity. In the third stanza, the
speaker uses the word shade as a metaphor for death because both share the quality of being dark and
mysterious. The third stanza states that beyond the pain and sadness looms the horror of

The Year For Medical Innovation
Introduction [1.0] The year 2016 is the year for medical innovation. It s when we push out cures for
diseases previously incurable, continue the fight with superbugs, and attempt to preserve public health
by means of vaccines and public sanitation. Whether it be an innovation that humans consume
directly, such as a medical drug, or a background implementation, such as public sanitation in public
spaces. The ultimate goal is to preserve the homo sapien species, and its health.
A new problem has arisen as the population grows, ironically, there has been a shortage in human
organs for those in need. This can be due to multiple reasons, including less people dying in a region

The ambitious plan is to use printers to print out organs and eventually perform a transplant to replace
the patient s nonfunctional one, with a lab printed functional organ.
The Printing In order to understand 3D printing, you need to understand how generic multi
dimensional printing works. 3D Printing uses computer aided printing technology to deposit layers of
the material in specific location to form a three dimensional object. Traditional three dimensional
printing is expensive, but scientists plan on using inkjet based printers in bioprinting. These printers
are able to deposit tiny ink drops onto a surface upon demand using thermal inkjet technology. A small
air bubble is heated until it collapses, and the force from the collapse serves as a pulse that forces tiny
droplets of ink out of the nozzle. This allows for more precise printing. The temperatures during the
printing process can reach as high as 300 C, but the entire process is so instantaneous, that it only lasts
for a couple of microseconds. With this technology, living cells can be printed at the same time that
nutrients, drugs, and other important chemicals, as well as protective gels. [2.0] The actual process of
how printing works lies in three important factors, the printer, the ink, and the product. [2.1/2.1.1]

  • 2. Essay On Frankenstein Perspective Point of view and perspective are very influential tools. Seeing different perspectives can change another person or observer s perspective. Thoughts and experiences influence perspective heavily. We can see this in our political climate, in psychology, and the way people treat one another based on their experiences, thoughts, and previous actions. This carries on to Frankenstein is the excerpt; he has a very heavily varied perspective than those of the villagers , and there is a distinct difference in thought. Readers learn the thoughts going through Frankenstein s mind, as well as his good deeds, actions, and curiosity with a will to learn and discover. If the story were to be told from the point of view of a villager, it would probably be very negative and completely different to Frankenstein s perspective. Actions are very important in telling what something or someone is like. Future actions can be estimated by someone s previous actions; actions usually reflect the character and personality of someone. Positive actions are almost always associated with a good hearted, positive person, and negative actions usually correspond with wretched, wicked, fearful, hateful, and negative people. These staples of action and character seem to apply to Frankenstein as well. In paragraphs 4 6, he discovers that the family he usually observes suffers from poverty. What s amazing is that when he heard and understood this, he refrained from taking their food again. For a monster who ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
• 3. Persuasive Essay on Layoffs Persuasive Essay: Layoffs within a Company Prudence Blackman COMM/215 October 13, 2014 Dr. Stephanie Lyncheski Persuasive Essay: Layoffs within a Company The decision to lay off employees cannot be the easiest for companies. There is a variety of different reasons why employers layoff their employees, and the laws in many states allow them to at any time as long as the reason does not contravene state or federal law. Being let go from your job can happen by firing or layoff, and though neither is, usually, desired, the layoff is typically the method that carries less of a stigma. Firing occurs with one worker for any reason that, usually, involves job performance, unethical behavior or personality differences. Meanwhile, a layoff, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The more you can provide them with the peace of mind that comes with knowing what is going on, the more there will be in the office. Involve employees in brainstorming for solutions. Even if layoffs are inevitable, there will be a ripple effect through the office, including the possibility of an increased workload for many individuals. Get the employee s input on this process and allow them to have a say in how those new responsibilities are addressed. The more you make them feel they have a voice, the more loyal they will be through difficult times (Zatzick, Zhoa, amp; Tingling, 2014). In an article Layoff: A Four Letter Word in the Economy Martin (1998 2014) states that, It has been difficult in recent years to find good people. However, sometimes it is better to have a position vacant than to hire poorly especially in management. One bad manager can take down tens to thousands with them (Martin, 1998 2014, para.10). Maintain a flexible workforce, hire contractors for short term needs, and hire temporary or seasonal help for short term work. Hire part timers who are willing to work only during the peak periods of need. Offer job sharing options to current employees (para11). Create a contingency plan. It is better to have well thought out and developed plan over a quickly devised scheme. It is also much better off to have a plan to review if something bad happens than to have to invent something in the heat of a crisis (Martin, 1998 2014, para.11). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

History of Cloud Computing [Type the company name] | Cloud Computing | | | This article contains a complete history of Cloud Computing up to current day and the speculative future of Cloud Computing. I also address the concerns and potential benefits of Cloud Computing. Introduction to Cloud Computing Cloud computing has become a successful platform for delivering service oriented computing. The applications of cloud computing are practically limitless. With the right middleware, a cloud computing system could execute all the programs a normal computer could run. Potentially, everything from generic word processing software to customized computer programs designed for a specific company could work on a cloud computing system. People are able to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Salesforce.com allows companies to eliminate the hardware and software needed for their internal network instead salesforce.com takes that responsibility. Companies only pay for what they need, upgrades are automatic and they can increase or decrease their services easily. Salesforce.com paved the way for both specialist and mainstream software firms to deliver applications over the internet. The next development in cloud computing was Amazon Web Services in 2002, which provided a suite of cloud based services including storage, computation and human intelligence through the Amazon Mechanical Turk. Amazon Mechanical Turk holds a database of human intelligence tasks these are tasks that people can login to complete for money or credit. These tasks can range from organizing photos to debugging software. These are all task that can only be performed by people and not computers. In 2006, Amazon launched its Elastic Compute cloud (EC2) as a commercial web service that allows small companies and individuals to rent computers on which to run their own computer applications. Amazon EC2 presented a virtual computing environment, allowing companies to use web service instances with a variety of operating systems, they can load them with custom applications, manage their network s access permissions, and run their service using as many or few systems as they desired. • 5. How Is Hollywood Portrayed In Saving Private Ryan Steven Spielberg creates a master piece that entails many triumphs and loses. The movie, Saving Private Ryan is not your typical World War II movie. This movie was released July twenty fourth, 1998. It is about the triumph of the United States over Germany. An amazing aspect of this film is how the plot does not make the viewer emotional; but the graphic scenes of interactions, war, and the dialogue of the soldiers involved in the war. I love how it shows a variety of soldiers that act differently and all have their very own attributes that both hither or benefit their squad. This movie brings the viewer closer than ever to a firsthand portrayal of what happened to the people that were involved in World War II. The film also shows people a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... War is a terrible thing that happens in people s lives but it is also necessary. If there was no war would people be people anymore? It is in people s nature to disagree and want to be right and if they cannot have what they want sometimes it leads to a fight. This movie shows the struggle just to even stay alive in a firefight. Soldiers have to be tactically smarter than their enemies. The message can be seen differently and comprehended differently to each viewer. This film is a must see for anyone remotely interested in war or a good fight scene. I would compare this film to Thin Red Line which is another fantastic film to watch. The movies may have completely different plots but the imagery is just the same to climb into the psyche of a solider. The plot, actors, and imagery all play a massive part in the role of this movie. The imagery is what ties it all together with the bloodied water in the intro of the movie or the solider getting slowly killed with a knife placed in his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The stories have the similar themes of perseverance because they both push themselves to get to their goals. Susan B. Anthony in the story Susan B. Anthony Dares To Vote kept persevering to earn equal rights for all women in the country even though she could possibly get put in prison. Ava Clark from Don t Give Up The Fight persevered to prove that it doesn t matter if she is a boy or girl, she can still reach the same goals as everyone else. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The story Susan B. Anthony Dares To Vote and Don t Give Up The Fight both try to change lives for the better, but while Anthony is trying to change the lives of everybody in the United States, Ava is trying to make life better for herself. For example, in the passage Susan B. Anthony Dares To Vote, Susan replies to the judges fine by saying, And I shall earnestly and persistently continue to urge all women... that resistance to tyranny is obedience. This shows that Anthony is trying to change rights for women because she pledges to the judge that she will not stop urging women about the unfairness until they get what they deserve. While Anthony helps women, Ava helps herself by persevering to get what she wants. For example, Ava showed perseverance and how she helps herself when she tells her principal about what has happened at the race which got both Mr. McCoy and Jacob sent to the principal s office. This proves that Ava helps herself because even though she was afraid of telling anyone what had happened she did anyway and got the antagonist s in trouble. • 7. Stereotype Threats Of College Students Stereotype Threats of Undergraduates Chassydi Turner Education Psychology Dr. Sandra Hull April 23, 2015 Stereotype produces numerous situations when most are negative in nature. Many studies have been extended since first reported by Steele and Aaronson in earlier years. The term stereotype threat is a threat that diminishes performances, beginning from a negative stereotype about one s own social group (Steele, 1997; Steele Aaronson 1995). Stating that stereotypes can harm performances on tasks that are stereotyped. When being associated with a negative stereotype or being judged by it, pressure is built to confirm that the stereotype is incorrect. Some stereotypes are associated with certain types of jobs, which causes stereotype threat to play a role. Several things are thought to be correlated with stereotypes on performances. In the research article by (Ihme Moller, 2014) specific questions were being addressed for guiding the studies. First researchers wanted to determine whether negative stereotypes of college students who has chosen the career of teaching? Second can the performance of the students is affected by stereotype threat. The studies were used to determine whether or not stereotype threat affects students training for a career in teaching. It is important because stereotype threat can have a detrimental effect on learning and prefaces (Rydell et al., 2010; Taylor Walton, 2011) and also cause students to drop out. It is hypothesized ... People argue that all this new technology is causing more harm than it is good. GMOs are not anything new: humans have been modifying crops long before the introduction of genetics and modern biotechnology. What are genetically modified foods? About 8000 years ago, humans began practicing agriculture in order to have a sustainable food source. To ensure that their crops didn t perish because of the climate, pests, or other circumstances, they began to select which plants were the best to grow and harvest; all this was in order to have a better food supply, less loss of crops, or better nutritional content. ... However, organizations such as the National Research Council, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Medical Association have issued studies or statements regarding the safety of GMOs indicating that there is no evidence that GMOs present unique safety risks compared to conventionally bred products (Acosta, 2014). In fact, these studies have shown that the benefits of supporting the production of GM foods far outweigh the risks; hence, there should be no immediate reason to ban or restrict the research and improvement of such food products. Nevertheless, it would be beneficial to monitor and regulate the advancement of GMOs, and occasionally update the public on the progress that has been made and how this will affect their food products. Presently, the United States does not have any federal legislation that is specific to genetically modified organisms (GMOs) (Acosta, 2014). Instead, GMOs are regulated by way of legislations pertaining to the different areas that GMOs might encompass. This is because the United States approach to regulating GMOs is [focused] on the nature of the products, rather than the process in which they were produced (Acosta, ... Stickers leave a mark that can affect a person s mood, cause thought, and inspire a reaction. Stickers are cheaper, more effective, and less risky than other forms of graffiti (tags, throw ups, etc). The most common stickers found in Lower Manhattan include large scale wheatpaste stickers and small vinyl stickers that are difficult to remove. As long as stickers are being put up faster than they weather or are cleaned, they are accumulating. For cities, stickers provide a constant maintenance battle. 1. Jim Jones And Charles Manson Persuasion Cults Two of America s most famous cult leaders are Jim Jones and Charles Manson, they are powerful leaders that drove their followers to commit insanely violent, and crazy acts. Today, many people wonder what gave those men such power to influence their followers to commit crimes. Jim Jones, for example, was a visionary and he used religion to influence his followers to join his community . Jones persuasion was highly successful among the homeless, dispossessed, lonely, and lower middle class. These individuals were drawn in large numbers to the Peoples Temple. Using reams of personal documents and types of propaganda to recruit more people to Jonestown. Jonestown gave them fellowship, a dream of social justice, social services clinics for free health care, drug rehabs, legal aid, and a sense of purpose. Jones followers gave him all their worldly possessions, money, and all the power he needed even though he was just as average as his followers. Jones didn t start out as this powerful leader he came to be , he was born into a bitterly unhappy home in Crete, Indiana. Jones himself was also a drug addict, a sexual predator among both sexes, and somehow he accomplished to fake to a large amount of people that he was against everything that he was still doing in secret (George Russell). Jim eventually found his place as a member of a small Christian church in his home town. Jones said he joined the religion because he never felt accepted, and he was drawn to fellow outcasts. He soon acquired a gift for charismatic preaching and took it to neighborhoods that were populated primarily by African American in the 1950s. It was in these neighborhoods where he preached racial inclusion and gathered a mixed race congregation. This did not sit well with many people in this era before the civil rights movement, and it added to his progressive reputation. He became head of the Indianapolis Human Rights Commission, which is a large reason he would recruit different ethnicities to join his temple. • 12. Essay on Kierkegaards View on Faith Kierkegaards View on Faith Kierkegaard was a Danish philosopher in the mid 1800s. He is known to be the father of existentialism and was at least 70 years ahead of his time. Kierkegaard set out to attack Kant s rational ethics and make attacks on the Christianity of our day. He poses the question, how do we understand faith? He states that faith equals the absurd. In Fear and Trembling , he uses the story of Abraham and his son Isaac to show an example of faith as the absurd. The story of God asking Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac signifies a break in the theory that ethics and religion go hand in hand. He shows how the ethical and the religious can be completely different. I by no means conclude that faith is something inferior ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Abraham is known to be the father of faith. Abraham went beyond infinite resignation and made the leap into faith. This is the peak on which Abraham stands. The last stage to pass from his view is the stage of infinite resignation. He actually goes further and comes to faith (Fear and Trembling, 14). Kierkegaard also revealed that to have faith, you must have passion which is not something we can learn, we must experience it for ourselves. No general or universal rules apply to our choice of what to believe. Whether a person has the right to say this must be his own decision; whether he can come to an amicable agreement in this respect is a matter between himself and the eternal being, who is the object of faith (Fear and Trembling, 21). Only the individual can decide. To him, faith was absurd because you have to step out of your universal, surd self and make the leap into the absurdity of faith. In conclusion, Kierkegaard decides that faith is paradoxical and completely absurd. He also concludes that it has nothing to do with the ethical realm of reason and is actually much higher. In order to perceive the prodigious paradox of faith, a paradox that makes a murder into a holy and God pleasing act, a paradox that gives Isaac back to Abraham again, which no thought can grasp, because faith begins precisely where thought stops... The Real Business Cycle Theory Model The two main models that draw most attention from the neoclassical period are the Solow model in the long run and the Real Business cycle incorporated with the Ramsey consumption or Euler equation in the short run. The Ramsey model in the short makes a more accurate depiction of what consumption and production in an economy would look like. The model in the short run follows a Dynamic stochastic general equilibrium; this type of model is more complex and allows for it to show economic growth in a closed cyclical model. The Ramsey model, which is the The Real Business Cycle Theory model in the short run, is far superior to the long run Solow model. However, the long run model by Solow has its benefits because it represents a closed economy producing one good with constant capital accumulation; yet, it fails to account for technological changes and other shocks that take place in an economy. This model is used over such a long period that it becomes a very theoretical generalization. Both these models explain growth in the economy, but the short term Real business cycle theory is a more accurate representation of economic growth as it depicts a direct correlation between consumption and production and accounts for economic shocks. These two models aim to explain how economic growth takes place due to changes in production and consumption. Economists have constantly tried to explain how growth occurs in an economy. They did so through their roles as mothers and healers, daughters and workers. They were, in short, strong women who felt it is their duty to uphold traditional values. In many African cultures, women were honoured and this attitude towards them did not change within the Caribbean. Many of the religious rites and rituals took on an altered form in the Caribbean, but the role of women was constant. The proof is in the legacy that has been left behind. The same customs that enslaved Africans brought with them are still present today. For instance, women have handed down lessons through the art of storytelling, an art which they have maintained. Their stories tell of ancient people in ancient times but the morals are relevant even today, as are told in the Haitian folktale Ti Malice or the Jamaican folktales of Anansi. There were many times where his actions did not represent the role which he was given and he made little effort to change unless he was forced. Coach K built much of what he was on his integrity; he stuck up for his players many times. Consolidation is beneficial in two ways for airline companies, as it typically reduces redundant operating costs and raises revenues through higher fares. The airline industry can be separated into four categories by the U.S. Department of Transportation: International 130+ seat planes that have the ability to take passengers just about anywhere in the world. Companies in this category typically have annual revenue of $1 billion or more. National Usually these airlines seat 100 150 people and have revenues between $100 million and $1 billion. Regional Companies with revenues less than $100 million that focus on short haul flights. Cargo These are airlines generally transport goods. • 31. The Purpose Of The Kaufman Speech To Language Protocol The Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol targets the production of specific phonemes, then builds on these skills to elicit word level productions and eventually conversational speech. In addition, SLPs utilize phonological processes to help the child produce target words. For example, if the target word is bubble, but the child is unable to spontaneously produce the word, the SLP can instruct the child to say /bub/, deleting the final consonant /l/ for easier production. As the child progresses, the phonological processes are faded and whole words are produced. Consequently, speech intelligibility is improved. 4. Describe the purpose of the approach. The purpose of the Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol (K SLP) is to shape the child s current level of speech production into higher levels of motor speech coordination. Essentially, this therapy technique aims to isolate speech components and increase motor skills at a reasonable pace. When simpler oral motor movements have been mastered, children s therapy focus will shift to higher level speech motor movements, along with correct use of morphology and syntax. It is a treatment approach for children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), other speech sound disorders, and expressive language challenges. With this technique, speech is broken down into syllable patterns, vowels, and consonants. For instance, if a child struggles with the consonant /p/, then therapy sessions would focus on that concept solely. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. The Horrors Of The War II Until The End Even in our darkest hour, never despair, the light will come sooner than expected. It was December 23rd , 1943, and there they were, sitting in a ghost town that was once the fine city of Rostock. The soldiers were waiting patiently in the bombed out, abandoned airplane factory that still looked like a war zone. The area was littered with skeletons of World War II jets and engines that once fueled Hitler s Wehrmacht and mighty blitzkriegs that helped him conquer most of Europe in its hey day. Hitler s army went through Europe decimating buildings and works of art that had great historical value. The Nazi soldiers gave no thought to what they were doing, but only wishing to please the Furor. The bones of these mighty planes looked as sorrowful as the men were now feeling. The putrid smell of dead bodies and spent casings hung heavy in their nostrils. The entire company was chilled to the bone by the hard sleet and snow that had been pelting them relentlessly for the past15 hours. They were in the northeastern corner of Germany, nestled between the mighty Warnow River and the harsh Baltic Sea in a city that once was bustling and thriving before the allies invaded through Demark and Sweden and the red Russians barreled through Poland. The men were glad it was almost empty, lending a sense of peaceful serenity that almost had a way of making them feel safe. It was so quiet; almost too quiet. Gunnery Sergeant Ronald L. • 33. Third Way Essay The Third Way separated itself from the old party s agenda and endeavored to border itself from the Conservative governments of Margaret Thatcher and John Major that ruled until 1997. Giddens, the political theorist of the Third Way, believed the old class based divisions of the left and right were redundant. He wanted to create no more than an outline of an integrated political programme, covering each of the major sectors of society. Kramp argues such a massive initiative proved Giddens intent to design a coherent political agenda and an alternative to total capitalism and complete socialism. Kramp asserts Giddens believed that reformist governments could no longer rely on traditional statist programmes claiming that campaigning from the centre would illicit mutual support while still remaining dedicated to radical measures. A point Tony Blair included in his 1997 speech at the European Socialists Congress, where he stated the Left had to modernise or die. He stressed to Congress the need to abandon old left statist policies claiming .... our task today is not to fight old battles but to show that there is a third way, a way of marrying together an open, competitive and successful economy with a just, decent and humane society. • 34. College Facilites for Division III Athletics Essay Division III athletics have become more then high school athletes holding onto a dream and competing at the non scholarship level of the National collegiate athletic association. From 2004 to 2012 the average cost of having a division III athletics program has gone up 200% (Fulks, 2013). From 2004 until 2012 the average cost per athlete has also gone up, from $3,500 to $5,800. This money does not even touch the levels that are being spent in Division I, but Division III athletics are on an upward trend of spending. The commitment to athletics in Division III has lead to money being spent on new sports and recreation facilities. The point of facilities has been to give the wow factor to visiting prospects. In almost all cases the facilities at a college will be better then the high school or junior college the student athlete is coming from. It is also believed that having better facilities will directly correlate with recruiting success, especially against rival colleges. The belief that new facilities bring in better recruits was tested by the research into the subject. Although new facilities did attract more initial interest from recruits (Schneider, 2012) the final decision about which school to attend came down to other different factors. In the study of The impact of Athletic Faculties on the Recruitment of Student Athletes college athletic prospects were asked why they choose the college they did. With factors such as playing time, location, tradition, education, facilities, teammates, and school color to name a few, the results were as follows. Non Scholarship athletes that had no option to receive finical aid from the school they planned on attending, like the ones in division III, had top five factors of 1) playing time, 2) social life, 3) Education, 4) Location and 5) Financial Aid. • 35. The Battle Of Inter State War Bull defines war as organized violence carried on by political units against each other (184). With respect to this broad definition, both he and Waltz posit models of conflict which can effectively be used to analyze the sources of modern violence. The warrior scholars employ the theories of multiple political philosophers including Kant and Rousseau in order to build theories that encapsulate the complex variables which lead to armed engagement. These theories can be extrapolated in order to explain the causes of inter state war, and to provide explanations of violence in the modern global theatre. Overall, Waltz s argument of the three images is extremely persuasive. The logical underpinnings of the models and the ways in which they collaborate are, for the most part, concrete and well thought out. His theory provides for three basic ideas through which the origins of all conflict can be distilled. First, Waltz (1959) provides that thinkers such as Spinoza place the responsibility of violence at the feet of human imperfection and lack of reason. Secondly, he postulates that domestic policy of a state will lead to conflict (Waltz 1959). Finally, the theorist channels Rousseau s The Social Contract to explain warfare as a symptom of international relations (Waltz 1959). The ways in which these three ideas correlate are what make Waltz s explanation so compelling. The first two of these images, the man and the state, explain how a country behaves internally. The ... • 36. Rhyme Scheme Of Invictus Poem Analysis of Invictus (by: William Ernest Henley) By: Nina Lu The poem Invictus written by William Ernest Henley consists of sixteen lines and is divided into four stanzas. The rhyme scheme is abab cdcd efef ghgh and there are exactly eight syllables in each line. This rhyme scheme and the specific syllables to each line help the phrases and lines flow together smoothly. The theme of the poem is staying strong and thriving in the face of adversity and it is very strongly present throughout the poem. In the first line of the first stanza, the word night could symbolize the speaker s suffering and adversity because a common association to the word night is darkness, which is also commonly associated with hard times in a person s life. ... This line also makes reference to the title of the poem because the word Invictus is Latin for unconquerable. In addition, this line connects back to the theme because the speaker has a strong soul that can t be conquered, even in difficult situations. The second stanza can be understood to mean that even in the midst of horrible circumstances, he is still staying strong. This stanza begins with a metaphor that compares circumstance to an animal because both have the common characteristic of a strong and deadly grip. Furthermore, the bludgeoning of chance can be comprehended to mean the punishments of fate and even with these punishments of fate, the speaker s head is still unbowed. He is still staying strong through these hardships, which also relates back to the theme of staying strong and thriving in the face of adversity. In the third stanza, the speaker uses the word shade as a metaphor for death because both share the quality of being dark and mysterious. The third stanza states that beyond the pain and sadness looms the horror of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. The Year For Medical Innovation Introduction [1.0] The year 2016 is the year for medical innovation. It s when we push out cures for diseases previously incurable, continue the fight with superbugs, and attempt to preserve public health by means of vaccines and public sanitation. Whether it be an innovation that humans consume directly, such as a medical drug, or a background implementation, such as public sanitation in public spaces. The ultimate goal is to preserve the homo sapien species, and its health. A new problem has arisen as the population grows, ironically, there has been a shortage in human organs for those in need. This can be due to multiple reasons, including less people dying in a region (to provide functional parts) and a healthier general population. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The ambitious plan is to use printers to print out organs and eventually perform a transplant to replace the patient s nonfunctional one, with a lab printed functional organ. The Printing In order to understand 3D printing, you need to understand how generic multi dimensional printing works. 3D Printing uses computer aided printing technology to deposit layers of the material in specific location to form a three dimensional object. Traditional three dimensional printing is expensive, but scientists plan on using inkjet based printers in bioprinting. These printers are able to deposit tiny ink drops onto a surface upon demand using thermal inkjet technology. A small air bubble is heated until it collapses, and the force from the collapse serves as a pulse that forces tiny droplets of ink out of the nozzle. This allows for more precise printing. The temperatures during the printing process can reach as high as 300 C, but the entire process is so instantaneous, that it only lasts for a couple of microseconds. With this technology, living cells can be printed at the same time that nutrients, drugs, and other important chemicals, as well as protective gels. [2.0] The actual process of how printing works lies in three important factors, the printer, the ink, and the product. [2.1/2.1.1] ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
