2. Informal learning and Mobile learning Informal learning is the future of learning because it is something more social and student-driven. Teemu Arina suggests the idea of investing in structures that support informal learning . Social software, wikis and blogs are tools that can support informal interaction . Mobile learning means that the context is around you so it enables us to utilize the context in a better way. For such reasons True Learning comes up when mobile and social technologies intersect with physical spaces. Yet teachers are important because their role is to help people learn more quickly having conversations to come out with ideas by asking the right questions. When Informal learning and Mobile learning intersect is like typical life!
3. My own view I personally believe that everything mentioned in the interview is very interesting. Although some of Teemu Arina’s ideas are already happening, such as learning via blogs and wikis, having them intersecting is what we are still missing. Some people are now using Social Software to learn. However, we are far from using it ideally to make the most of it. Having the context around you is an excellent suggestion but we do not always have the possibility or maybe a factual example of how exactly work with it. The main and most attractive of his comments on the whole, is that we need to invest in structures where mobile and informal learning can happen. I am really fascinated by that.
