media is something that has become
so prevalent in our culture that George
Couros have seen everything from large
companies to churches having their own
Facebook accounts.

Thinking about this today, I have really seen
some of the impacts that social media is

It cuts down on isolation.

cultural diversity.

5. The world of education is (and needs to
be) more open.
6. While people often look at social media is
just “technology” we have to see how proper
use can help really bring our world together.
If we are proactive in the way we work with
kids using social media, there is no limit to
