The City Manager is requesting City Council approval to hire Interpool Inc. to perform leak detection and repair at the Alamo Heights swimming pool at a cost not to exceed $50,000. Interpool Inc. will fully identify the extent of a detected leak under the pool surface and repair the main drain pipe from the pool to the mechanical room and diving well. The full scope and cost cannot be determined until leak detection is completed.

Government Code allows general exemptions
from competitive bid process for a procurement
necessary because of unforeseen damage to
public health or safety of the municipalityโs
residents and/or an unforeseen damage to public
machinery, equipment, or other property.

5. FISCAL IMPACT
๏ง Estimated fiscal impact for the leak repair is
$47,300 but will be finalized with the results of
the leak detection. This resolution is requesting
approval not to exceed $50,000.
