2. SUMMARY
 Phase1being completed: leak detection and repair;
filter drainage outfall
 Ready for Phase 2
 Re-line the pool
 Replace the gutter and piping system
 Pool surface and sub-surface plumbing needs
repair/replacement
 Demolition to out filter room and replace filtration
system (alternative bid)

3. BACKGROUND
 Contracted with Rosin Group for engineer design for
Phase 1 of the Alamo Heights Swimming Pool Repair
and Renovation
 Leak detection, repair and filter drainage outfall
 City hired Interpool Inc. for leak detection
 Environmental Analysis of the drainage outfall and
drainage option identified remediation could be
completed in-house
 An estimated $80,000 cost savings

4. BACKGROUND
 City is now ready to move on to Phase 2 of this
project and need to hire engineering design and
construction management services
 Rosin Group had provided a proposal showing
they are a highly qualified provider having
worked with other municipalities on similar projects

5. POLICY ANALYSIS
 Subchapter B, Section 2254 of the Texas
Local Government Code allows a municipality
to select most highly qualified provider of
those services on the basis of demonstrated
competence and qualifications
 City Attorney has reviewed the proposed
agreement

6. FISCAL IMPACT
 Cost of engineering design and construction
management services $95,000
 Professional services to develop concept and
schematic designs
 Design development, construction documents and
specification
 Preliminary studies and conceptual cost estimates
 Construction administration services
 Overall project management for Phase 2
