The viewfinder
Audience:
My audience is adults and teenagers 16+ as the game has fighting and mild blood and violence
Made for people who love the Japanese/samurai style game with exploring and fighting
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
I believe this year I have taught myself lots of new skills to help me with media especially with
using software like photoshop and premier as I’ve been mainly working from home, I’ve had to
teach myself lots on how to use it which will be very useful in the future. I believe the previous
projects have helped me with thinking of the ideas and planning out this project
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept is a game and film all about a Japanese samurai who has been exiled from his clan
and set out into the wild medieval japan to take a perfect photo on his large format camera to
impress his clan, but he must fight and protect his camera from bandits and mythical monsters.
I will need to do lots of research into any Japanese themed films and games to see how they did
and what styles they incorporated and why they chose the style they did.
I am going to base a lot of the media I make for it off similar styles old 70s Japanese film posters
as I really like the style and designs they use.
Production Techniques (approx. 150 words)
I will be using techniques to design my posters and my game using simplicity and not
overcrowding my designs ill be watching lots of similar designs and films that I can correlate my
designs too as id like it to feel familiar but not unoriginal so people do not feel like they’ve seen it
all before which I believe will be hard with this genre.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I plan to evaluate it fairly if I know I did something poorly then I wont try an cover it up otherwise I
wont be able to learn and do it better next time as the whole point of an evaluation is so you can
do better next time and work on things
