Our Company
SOLAS Marine Services Group is a diversified group of companies that commenced its operations
in the year 1988. It was established in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates to meet the growing
demands of professional services in the field of Life Saving Appliances (LSA) and Fire Fighting
Appliances (FFA) along with Safety Equipment in Marine Industry.
Over the years, Solas Marine Services has evolved as a major service provider in the region not
only for LSA and FFA but also diversified into new areas like System Integration, Hydraulics,
Cranes, Navigation Aids for Marine and Oil and Gas Industry.
Our head office is located in Business Bay, Dubai with branches at Dubai Investment Park, Dubai
Maritime City, Sharjah, Hamriya free zone Sharjah, Fujairah and Abu Dhabi. We have expanded
our operations in Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, India and Sri Lanka to provide
local support to clients.
Solas Marine Services represent world renowned experts in the field of safety, who are known
for their quality and reliability in the Middle East. Where safety is the concern, we know that no
compromise is acceptable. This is reflected in our choice of the agency representation and post
sales services. The supply of equipment and services are in compliance with international
regulatory standards.
The facilities of Solas Marine Services are certified by the classification societies i.e. ABS, BV,
Class NK, DNV-GL, IRS, KRS, Lloyd’s and USCG.

Infrastructure:
Our Head Office is situated in Business Bay, Dubai, UAE. The warehouse and primary service
station for all activities related to life saving equipment and fire fighting appliances is located in
Dubai Investment Park. It has total area of 15,932 Sq. mtrs. The facility includes area for
storage, maintenance & repair and quality control of most equipment. Lifeboat service
operations are carried out in Sharjah.
The civil defense approved venture for industrial installations & services is in Dubai Investment
Park under “Solas Safety and Fire Protection Services Co. L.L.C.” Hydrosol is located in
Dubai Maritime City as a service facility for Hydraulics & Lifting equipments, with a total area
of 4758 Sq. Ft.
In Fujairah we have a service station with warehouse storage space of 550 sq. mtrs. In Abu
Dhabi we have a branch office with service facility with a total area of 3500 sq. mtrs.
Overseas Operations: The branch offices in Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia come
with approved Workshop and Service station facilities for all after sale activities. We have
recently started operations in Kuwait. We have an office and service station in Mumbai and
project design office in Chennai, India
Workforce:
Solas Marine Services Group has a workforce of 800 persons. They are employed to support the
functions of Sales and Marketing, Purchase, Accounts, HR and Administration, Quality Control,
Project Design and IT. Also selected personnel work at service stations, workshops and offshore.
They are qualified engineers and trained by OEM’s with adequate experience in their related
fields.

Service Division
We provide Onshore and offshore services for all Fire Fighting and Life Saving Appliances. Our
service station is well equipped to service and refurbish life rafts, fire fighting appliances,
breathing air units and calibration of portable gas monitors.

Various areas of service operations
 Life raft Service Station: We service different brands of life rafts. Our in-house life raft
service stations expand over an area of 5000 sqm. The life raft team comprises of well-
trained qualified engineers and skilled technicians who are familiar with the different
brands of life rafts manufactured around the world.

 Fire Fighting Equipment Service Station: We undertake repair and maintenance of
all kinds of fire extinguishers, FM 200 systems, NOVEC systems, fixed fire extinguishing
systems etc. Our fire fighting workshops are approved by the UAE ministry of
communication and major classification societies i.e. Lloyds, DNV-GL, ABS, BV and NKK
etc.
 Breathing Apparatus Service Station: We are authorized and approved by major
classification societies for servicing and certification of the following
 Annual Servicing of Emergency Escape Breathing Device (EEBD) and
Self Contained Breathing Device (SCBA)
 Annual Servicing of Breathing Air Cascade System
 Annual Servicing of Medical Oxygen
 Inspection of Disposable Emergency Escape Breathing Device (EEBD)

 Calibration Service Station: Following are the activities in Calibration

Rental Division
We provide safety equipment on rental basis at a very short notice for onshore and offshore rigs,
platforms, barges, support vessels etc. in the Middle East. Rental division is capable to Design,
Supply, Install, Test, Commission and Maintain H2S Detection and Protection System and Fire
Fighting Systems. We have well trained certified and qualified personnel to maintain and monitor
the systems. Below listed are the equipment which we offer on rent i.e.

Lifeboat Division
We are authorized and approved by major classification societies and manufacturers to service
Life Boats, Rescue Boats and Davits for the major brands.
We carryout Annual/Five yearly servicing and complete refurbishment of Lifeboats, Rescue Boats
and their Launching Appliances including load tests. Our Engineers/Technicians are well
experienced and are trained by the manufacturers.

Fluids Division
We cater to all the Engineering industries, Power plants, Oil field companies, Cement and Ready
Mix Concrete companies, Government organizations, Marine companies to name a few. We can
provide any standard, non standard or customized requirement of hoses. We also provide BOP
Hoses.
To provide better and quick service to our customers we have 24 X 7 mobile hose van, which
can provide onsite services.
