2. Process
• I used Adobe Photoshop to create the
sprites, environment, and extra
elements necessary to complete my
project. I find Photoshop to be easy to
use and understand, but tricky to
coordinate with, as it can be surprising
and hard to master. I found the
creation of the environment to be
simple enough, while the character
avatar required me to step outside of
my comfort zone, with animation
being one of my weaknesses, but an
aspect that I believe to have
completed satisfactorily.
3. Process
• For the audio portion of the project,
we used an online program called
BeepBox for the sound design,
replicating the old-school, 8-bit style of
sound for our own use. I personally
opted for something practical that
suited the game over anything with
the more elaborate effects the site
offered, as I wanted to spend more
time on designing the visual elements.
4. Process
• This past week we have begun the full
animation sequences of the project,
piecing together the individual assets
and fading layers in and out to make a
flowing final result. These past few
days have been the most stressful of
the project so far, as I fear I was over-
ambitious with the initial concept,
sacrificing more complex details for
efficiency. Nonetheless, I believe I have
made a satisfactory result with the
time and resources available.
5. Process
• The previously shown animated
portion of the project mixed with the
sound created on BeepBox, and strung
together using Adobe Premier Pro. I
found this section of the project to be
relatively easy compared to everything
before it, due to the length of the
product and prior experience with the
software.
