• In the review, Joe Skrebels said that there is a lot more to do after you complete the main story.
• Each weapon like an entirely different game.
• “Decidedly not a my-first-monster-hunter experience.”
• Some of the downsides of the older games have been improved. The improvements are making crafting simpler, armour skills more abundant and introducing quicker, more
efficient way of looting.
• “one of the most consistently exciting, satisfying and gratifyingly absurd game I’ve played”
• 50 hours in and he is still having new experiences.
• He says to make a specific weapon, you have to hunt a specific monster. This can give you leftover materials which you can make additional armour/weapons to hunt different
monsters. This is a satisfying loop. “like a map of memories”
• IGN made reviews of the previous 4 main series monster hunter games. They are increasing in scores from 7.2 to 9. The review of the current game is 9.5 so this game has
definitely improvements specifically to the hunting aspect.
• JS really likes the graphics especially in the Coral Highlands. He says that “Capcom has made one of the most stunning locations I’ve ever come across” and he means gaming as a
whole.
• He says that battling the monster is “closer then a dance then a brawl” You’ll be clumsy at first but you’ll eventually become knowledgeable, better, learn of things work and you
will soon learn your moves and the monsters.
• Each monster has it’s own personality. JS explains that one monster may just roar at you if you invade its territory while another monster wont give you the same polite
treatment.
• JS says the best way to play World is is with a group of friends however World has a very strange problem where everyone hast to individually see the same cutscene before being
able to play with each other.

• "In an unnamed high fantasy setting, humans and other sentient races have set their
eyes on the New World, a separate continent from the populated Old World. The New
World is an untamed wilderness where many power monsters roam, and researchers
have been drawn to study these creatures and their habitat. Several ocean-bound Fleets
have been sent already to establish working bases, safe from monsters, and operations
are led by the Research Commission.
• The Hunter along with their assistant the Handler are part of the Fifth Fleet, which has
been summoned by the Research Commission to provide more support on the New
World. As they near the New World, the gigantic monster, Zorah Magdaros, appears and
devastates the ships and tears a path through the New World, however, most including
the Hunter and Handler make it safely to shore and to Astera, the main base for the
Research Commission there. Once acclimated, the Commission's Commander tells the
Fifth Fleet that they are curious as to why the Zorah Magdaros has been drawn to the
New World, an event they know that happens every ten years, and gives the Hunters
orders to help them set up various camps in new areas revealed by the Zorah Magdaros'

8. The Plot – Summary
• You are part of a research commission assigned to explore an
undiscovered island called the New World. Your mission is to find out
the meaning of the Elder Crossing, an event that happens every 10
years where powerful elder dragons migrate to the New World. In
particular Zorah Magdaros, a ginormous volcanic monster. You will
need to explore, forge and hunt to learn all the mysteries of the New
World.
9. The community – adopt a hunter
• Veteran fans of the series have made a website called Adopt a Hunter
where they help any novices who wish to learn the basics of monster
hunter. This website was formed under the preparation of Monster
Hunter World because it was said to be the most accessible Monster
Hunter game yet meaning a lot of new player may not know where to
begin.

• Monster Hunter is HUGE in Japan and not so huge in the west… untill now i guess.
• Monster Hunter once had a theme park attraction at Universal Studios in Japan 2014.
• There is going to be a movie made by the people who made the Resident Evil movies. (there is also a small
clip of a scene on YouTube)
• Monster Hunter World lets you have pets/there are 26 rare pets in Monster Hunter World
