products have? One common feature is that they
are clear and eye-catching. Products are always
centred on the advertisement.
• What aspects of the research will you include
within your own work? My advert will have the
product advertised shown directly in the middle
and will be eye-catching with contrasting colours.

• How will your product appeal to this audience: good value,
environmentally friendly, locally sourced product , modernised old
fashioned drink, healthy, helps naturally resolves acne which 18 –
24 are more likely to suffer from.

• What this says about my audience: the survey shows that more men participated
in the survey.
• How will your product appeal to this audience: I would focus on advertising that
appeals more to men then women or other because the survey is more affected by
mens opinions so when I make the final product it will be influenced to men more.

not mind giving it a little try.

more appealing than other products? Yes, because it
shows that the people who made it care about the
environment.
• Do you like bright colours? If they contrast well with
darker colours, yes.
• Do you like animal mascots? Yes.
• What size advertisement should be used? Maybe A3
size posters, as well as billboards and television
advertisements.

dandelion and burdock. The interviewee likes
contrasting colour, environmentally friendly products

a clear poster with animals and promoting
environmentalism.

will be bright contrasting colours, promoting the drinks
environmental friendliness. There will also be a trio of
animal mascots (lion, bird and octopus).

• Strength: I found better ideas to improve the initial plan for my project.
• Weakness: It was difficult to discover some research at the start.
– Questionnaires
• Strength: Easy to know many peoples opinions and modify the product in response.
Easy to see statistics on what is liked and disliked.
• Weakness: Difficult to ask what are the real important questions are. You can only
get brief answers.
– Interviews
• Strength: The answers people respond with are more detailed
• Weakness: The answers can be misunderstood. Interviewee can be chosen with bias.

– What sort of a response did you get?
The interview and Questionnaire response were similar.
– How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage
• I put a survey link on Microsoft teams and
asked people in my class.
• One advantage was that I got a good amount of people answering my
survey.
• One disadvantage was I didn’t a 50/50 mix of men and women.

Products are always centred on the advertisement. • What aspects of the research will you include within your own work? My advert will have the product advertised shown directly in the middle and will be eye-catching with contrasting colours.

Audience research • Observation: 50% are 18-24 • What this says about my audience: Audience are young adults • How will your product appeal to this audience: good value, environmentally friendly, locally sourced product , modernised old fashioned drink, healthy, helps naturally resolves acne which 18 – 24 are more likely to suffer from.

Yes. • What size advertisement should be used? Maybe A3 size posters, as well as billboards and television advertisements.

There will also be a trio of animal mascots (lion, bird and octopus).

Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each method – Product Research • Strength: I found better ideas to improve the initial plan for my project. • Weakness: It was difficult to discover some research at the start. – Questionnaires • Strength: Easy to know many peoples opinions and modify the product in response. Easy to see statistics on what is liked and disliked. • Weakness: Difficult to ask what are the real important questions are. You can only get brief answers. – Interviews • Strength: The answers people respond with are more detailed • Weakness: The answers can be misunderstood. Interviewee can be chosen with bias.
  • 26. Research Evaluation – What sort of a response did you get? The interview and Questionnaire response were similar. – How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage • I put a survey link on Microsoft teams and asked people in my class. • One advantage was that I got a good amount of people answering my survey. • One disadvantage was I didn’t a 50/50 mix of men and women.
