2. SYPNOSIS
• A black dressed, horror and sci fi fan lesbian,
Billy Osgood, a girl has an obsession with a
stylish, artistic, slightly introverted girl.
• The artist, however has a crush for a popular,
upper-class boy
• At school, Billy fails to try and get this girl’s
attention, and to make matters worse she is
hit on by a blonde boy who has crush on her.

17. For the room of Girl B
• My winter garden, pin up sketches and other
artistic memorabilia some plants to also show
her love for nature
18. Locations in school
• Parking area in school
• Main reception
• Zinnen Building ground floor
• Up the stairs to common room
• Lockers near the common room
• Maybe common room too
21. Possible Opening Scene
• Parody of the credits scene of Bridget Jones’s
Diary
• Billy dreams of Girl B kissing her in the fields
22. Billy’s room
• Billy in her world
• Use the media language of Submarine opening scene
• Also make room chaotic to show her clumsy character
• I will shoot two versions, one which were Billy would
wake up from the dream
• Sample Shooting: Friday 20th Jan
• Proper Shoot: Sunday 22th Jan
23. • Girl B is drawing, in her art paradise
• Draws Mr Popular
• Whether it’s art or fashion girl, getting up, in
and ending with sighing over Mr. Popular,
audio bridge to motor sound
• Film this scene by next weekend with sample
shooting beforehand
24. • Mr Popular driving into school, motor sound
• First shot of car below, then of feet getting out
(narrative enigma)
• Walks in with a swagger, first student in
• Through main reception, who compliment him
with „Morning“
• If possible have some teachers from St
Georges greeting him to show his popularity
(like in the 2014 Ikley rom-com)
25. This will also be filmed during the next
two weeks if not next week, with
sample shoots beforehand
• Other students come, including Girl B
• possible scene: Speed-up film students walk up stairs, create
verisimilitude
• Billy rushes in, she’s nearly late, she then falls over slapstick-
style (her character is a bit clumsy)
• A girl will insult her saying: “Watch it lezza”
• The sound of her dropping to the floor then creates an audio
bridge with Girl B shutting her locker
• Mr Popular then makes a go for her
• Billy tries to rush to talk to Girl B, just before she can get there
and interrupt Girl B and Mr Popular, she’s hit on by Blonde
Boy
26. • Billy is annoyed, tries to rebuke him
• Girl B and Mr Popular have walked off by then
• Billy storms off annoyed
• Final glance of Blonde Boy looking at Jock as
well, hint of bisexuality, the love square being
changed like it is in Sixteen Candles
27. What Still Needs To Be Done
• Get the look of Girl B set, and establish
whether Vivien or Evie will play the role (by
the beginning of this week)
• Get clothes sorted out for Girl B
• Jacket or suit for
• Accesoires for Billy, today I am going to two
friends to borrow some
• Work out some Napoleon Dynamite-like titles
31. Why LGBT
• It is something I feel very strongly about, I feel there
is also lack in LGBT representation in St Georges
media videos and A-Level media vids
• But also I could not find any male actors that would
have suited the role
• I have a number of gay and lesbian friends (this will
also be my audience I will engage with)
