 QUESTION 1
WHAT GENDER ARE YOU?
I decided to include this question for target
audience research purposes. As our target
audience is both men and women I wanted
to be able to see who filled the
questionnaire. As you can see from the
screenshot below 11 women filled it out
and 7 men completed the survey. Even
though more women took part I think that
we have just enough responses from men
for the results not to be biased or
unrepresentative.
 QUESTION 2
HOW OLD ARE YOU?
This question was included as further
research into our target audience. As we
wanted to try and make our products
especially for our target audience I decided
to specialise the questionnaire for the
different age groups within our target
audience. The results show that I received
8 responses from 12-17 year olds, 5
responses from 18-24 year olds and 5
responses from people 25 year old more.
 QUESTION 3
WHAT MAGAZINE TITLE APPEALS TO
YOU MOST?
This question included magazine title’s that
both me and my partner Lucy decided on
together. Our personal favourites are
‘Lights Camera Action’ and ‘Spotlight’ but
we decided to come up with a few more
options and get different opinions.
Analysing the results from this question
‘Spotlight’ is more popular with 11 votes
and Lights Camera Action is second with 5
votes, ‘Film Reel’ has 2 votes and Reel
received no votes.
IN CONCLUSION….
Having looked at the results from the
survey, we have now decided to call
the magazine Spotlight as it was most
popular with our target audience and
also was one of our favourites. I was
able to see each respondents answers
and I found out that 4/7 male
respondents voted for Spotlight. Out of
the 11 female respondents 7 chose
Spotlight.
I think that it will work well as a
magazine name as a lot of magazines
only have one word titles (Empire,
Glamour and Time as examples.)
I also I think the word itself does link to
film in a way which is good as potential
buyers would not have to analyse the
cover for long to find out that is a film
magazine.

  • 2.  QUESTION 1 WHAT GENDER ARE YOU? I decided to include this question for target audience research purposes. As our target audience is both men and women I wanted to be able to see who filled the questionnaire. As you can see from the screenshot below 11 women filled it out and 7 men completed the survey. Even though more women took part I think that we have just enough responses from men for the results not to be biased or unrepresentative.  QUESTION 2 HOW OLD ARE YOU? This question was included as further research into our target audience. As we wanted to try and make our products especially for our target audience I decided to specialise the questionnaire for the different age groups within our target audience. The results show that I received 8 responses from 12-17 year olds, 5 responses from 18-24 year olds and 5 responses from people 25 year old more.
  • 3.  QUESTION 3 WHAT MAGAZINE TITLE APPEALS TO YOU MOST? This question included magazine title’s that both me and my partner Lucy decided on together. Our personal favourites are ‘Lights Camera Action’ and ‘Spotlight’ but we decided to come up with a few more options and get different opinions. Analysing the results from this question ‘Spotlight’ is more popular with 11 votes and Lights Camera Action is second with 5 votes, ‘Film Reel’ has 2 votes and Reel received no votes. IN CONCLUSION…. Having looked at the results from the survey, we have now decided to call the magazine Spotlight as it was most popular with our target audience and also was one of our favourites. I was able to see each respondents answers and I found out that 4/7 male respondents voted for Spotlight. Out of the 11 female respondents 7 chose Spotlight. I think that it will work well as a magazine name as a lot of magazines only have one word titles (Empire, Glamour and Time as examples.) I also I think the word itself does link to film in a way which is good as potential buyers would not have to analyse the cover for long to find out that is a film magazine.
