2. Throughout the project we needed to get feedback on the way, starting with the pitch. We could explain what we were influenced by and tell them our basic idea. The feedback we got was that our idea was good and would hopefully work well but we need to think about the pace of the film and the music. To our rough cut, this contained no sound and was not cut down properly. They said that it is not clear and doesn’t make sense however they did say that this is easily changed, just by changing the duration of some of the shots with the dark figure in, just so you can see it more. Also as from the pitch idea for the sound they did say it may not fit with the style, this was for us to think about.
3. Up to this point the feedback has been essential because we can edit the teaser trailer to how the audience want it. The things that we have changed from their feedback are the durations of the clips with the dark figure in so it makes it clearer that it getting closer. We got new sounds and used the chime box sound for only apart which works well. Also a big thing that we got from the feedback was that because of the style of our film there is not enough action so the pace doesn’t vary, this feedback we worked on and we filmed extra scenes of the girl. This brings up the pace and with text we have added adds tension to the teaser trailer. They are our target audience so their comments are very important and need to be worked on, because if this was a real film to be released they need to attract the biggest audience as we could.
4. We got to the point of doing the poster and we had 2 ideas of what we wanted. Like what professional film makers would do, we asked the target audience what they thought was better. There was varying comments but overall they agreed with us that our second idea was better as a poster and the original as a magazine. Getting feedback this way is good, even though it is on a small scale, like all our feedback it is still really helpful. Professional do it on a much larger scale and do things such as preview screenings and for independent film makers use the internet and do polls and vote such as paranormal activity.
