Measures of Central Tendency: Mean, Median and Mode
Evaluation Question 4
1. Question 4
How did you use media technologies in
the construction and research,
planning and evaluation stages?
2. Computer
By having access to a computer has enabled
me to work further and deeper in to the
course. This has given me the opportunity to
use different software’s.
This also allowed me to go onto Google
Images so that I could research found images
within my chosen genre of different release
posters and digipaks to inspire me when
creating my own.
3. Blogger
I have used blogger to post my
work, my research and planning,
giving me a chronological clear order of my
work helping me to see all my planning so
that I could be more organised when
preparing for the production of my products.
Also, this allowed me to do some research of
my own onto other peoples blogs within and
around the same genre to help me and
inspire me.
4. Prezi
Slideshare
Popplet
I used Prezi, Slideshare and Popplet in order to
display my work in a creative way so that they
stand out and are interesting to read. Also it
allows me to express my ideas in different
ways so it is easier for me to look back on and
see what I have done and what else needs to
be done.
5. Microsoft Word
I used Microsoft word to type up my research
work which I uploaded straight onto Blogger
to spell check so that my blog looks
professional on posts for my audience so that
it influences positive thoughts for my
products, also so that I could create a table for
my shooting schedule so that it can be
produced clearly and easy to read.
6. PowerPoint
I used PowerPoint in order to present my
theories so that it was in a clear, organised
way. I also used it so that I can display other
research work so that it can be split into
different topic/sections on each slide so it is
clear when my audience read it. This work was
then put onto Slideshare in order to upload it
to my blog for the audience.
7. &
I used YouTube and Vimeo to research
different exisiting music videos to get
inspiration for creating my own by looking at
the conventions and the technical elements.
I also used YouTube to download my song for
when I created my video and then uploaded
my video when it was complete on Youtube in
order to upload it to blogger.
8. I used survey monkey to carry out
questionnaires to my target audience for
feedback on my products and also to find the
correct target audience and their wants in a
music video so that I could target it specifically
to my target audience and also use ideas to
create a wider audience.
9. Fireworks
This was the main piece of software I used because it
enabled me to create my ancillary texts (digipak and
poster). This was the easiest option for me because I
already had knowledge in the software but it also
developed my knowledge so I was able to do more
things such as the lighting on my digipak, making my
products more professional.
10. Fireworks
Tools
Also I was able to use the blur tool on the outline of
the hair on the image on my digipak and poster, along
with the erase tool in order to get rid of the
background so that it looked more professional on the
black background.
Another tool I used was the magic wand tool so that it
was easier to erase bigger unwanted areas of the
image so it was quicker and easier.
11. DaFont
I used Dafont to find a
better font for my artists
name to make it look more sharp and
powerful emphasising the artists reputation in
the music industry and the type of music she
has so that it is recognisable for her and the
song I have chosen.

12. Adobe Premier
Elements
This was vital when creating my video in order to
edit it together and cut certain things out so that
it fit in well, also so that I could put the music in
with the video so it links together.
Using Premiere Elements allowed me to use
different effects so that I could emphasis on the
narrative of the video, for example, by using a
low vibrancy in the starting scene, then making it
medium then normal effects so that it brightens
up at the same time that the beat picks up.
