2. • The location is close to school
– This makes it easier to get equipment on site and we have more chance of
getting the cast there.
It takes about 15 minutes to get
there from school taking the bus
and about 25/30 when walking.
3. • The location has many different atmospheres
– This means that we can shoot lots of different scenes in the same wood
– Because it is a wood it will allow us to use day for night filming which is good as
we do not want to be filming in the dark in the woods for reason it could be
dangerous and moreover our cast might not be free late at night.
– The ground is relatively flat which should make the filming quite easy. There is a
section where there is sloped land which we could perhaps use to effect.
4. • The location reflects the atmosphere of the film well because usually dark woods
are quite scary, this is obviously the effect we are shooting for.
• Another point is that the location will reflect the situation as well, by this I mean
that in the woods it is fairly clear that there is no way out which should inspire fear
in the audience. As we can see from this picture it is quite a vast wood where you
can see far in to the distance where there is just more wood and a path that trails
off. In the previous slide we saw a bridge with an iron gate, it looks like quite a
scary location so we will definitely incorporate it into our trailer.
