2. First Scene:
• In the first half of the film, we really want to represent and state our sub-genre urban
fantasy through the choice of location.
• We want to film in an urban surrounding to convey the modernised aspects to the fairy tale
believe location is immensely important as it is the first thing the audience notice. By looking
at the location, the audience can anticipate the events that are to come. It also creates
imagery as the audience’s mind are transported into the film. This is why establishing shots
are so frequently used in films where the location drives the film. It sets a clear direction to
the film
• We are thinking of filming it in a garage, car park area. Our film is going to be showcasing
many aspects of intimacy, so using a location full of characters, like a shopping mall will be
ridiculous. Our location will be quite spacious so we will be sure to take long shots of Emily
being positioned in the forefront to add to the ‘vibey’ feel.
• The urban atmosphere also makes it seem realistic, which is something we want our film to
convey for the first half of the film. The deserted area will also reflect the isolation Emily
feels.

3. Second Scene:
• The second scene will be shot in a subway tunnel. This is a tunnel that I had to go through to
reach my beautiful primary school. This subway tunnel actually gave me nightmares.
• The tunnel is quite long and there are two entrances/exits. This will be of use as we want to
film Emily walking in through one way, and stalker Rak running through the other way, to
where they meet in between.
• The tunnel always reeks of the most sdihf8243rheb smell (indescribable). In a sense, we can
use this efficiently as the actors can get into the right state of mind, which would be
distressed and tired.
• There is also a few mirrors placed in the subway and this is something that gives me great
pleasure, because we are thinking of filming a great mirror scene which seem quite
haunting. The subway also gives off these strange dripping sounds but again, this will only
add to the eerie atmosphere we are trying to portray. The tunnel also is quite intimate and
this just adds to the tense, isolated feel that the film will give off.

4. Third Scene:
• The third and final scene, imitating the fantasy, illusion will be filmed in a forest/woodland
area. We are fortunate in this way as the location is extremely accessible and typically quiet
during the time we will be filming.
• There will be the occasional diegetic sounds of birds ands river streaming. This will only add
to the mise en scene and illusion of red riding hood being in a forest
• We are also thinking of filing a scene in which Emily looks at the reflection of herself at the
river. This would be the alternative to her looking at her reflection in the subway mirror.
• We want to take various long shots of Emily walking through the forest. One in particular of
her gliding through the forest, as her cloak glides.
