1. Location Recce
Our location of the film is at an abandoned lake. We
chose this location as it has an eerie effect, which will
help create the genre/mood. The lake has a wooded
area covered in trees which will prevent light getting
in, generating a horror effect. It also has an open area
which makes it easy to do
scene changes when needed. With having
both these settings, it enables us to have
different places for the
actors to run and hide.
Due to our safety and
being isolated from
anyone or anything at
night, we must stop filming before 5:30/6. We must
make sure that a second day of filming is put in
place just in case we should have to cut it short due to bad weather,
sickness or we simply don’t get it done during the first day. We must try
and keep volume to minimum as we will be on private land and we
don’t want to be causing disruption to the residents.
Plan B for filming is at the pine cone
forest, we chose this location due to the
dark light so we could achieve a dark
atmosphere that fits well with the genre
of our film. We also chose this as we
could get good sounds of the footsteps on
the leaves as the actors are running. We would only use this
location if something happened with location A and we could
no longer film there.
