Safety measures protect
employees as well as equipment
and business property.
Avoiding or minimizing injuries
and damage to equipment and
facilities will result in fewer
expenses and more profit for a
business.

This step requires knowing the
particular hazards of your job or
workplace.
Once you get to know about the
particular hazards that occur at your
workplace, then it will help you in
reducing the risk and allow you to
take the precautionary steps.
Also, always be alert of machinery.

Most of the employees are not fit and
healthy because of their busy

depression to the employees.
So, instead of waiting to get unfit, it is
better that you start take care of your
health, by taking regular breaks, sit in
an appropriate posture with
appropriate diet.

straight back to avoid any spine problem.

while using machinery or any
other tool, instead of taking any
shortcuts.
It’s a huge safety risk to use
scaffolding as a ladder or one tool
in place of another for a specific
job.
Using tools the right way greatly
reduces the chance of workplace
injury.
10. Use mechanical assistance
Whenever, you want to carry or lift up some
heavy equipment’s then you should use a
conveyor belt, crank or forklift.
There are lot of risks involved, if you try to
lift something which is heavier, it can affect
your weighing capability and can lead to
some muscle displacement.
So, make sure that use the appropriate
tools for not harming yourself.
11. Wear the right safety equipment’s:
It is essential that you wear the right
protection equipment tools during
your work. And, the equipment’s can
be in any form like, Protection
Gloves, Protection Glasses,
Protection Shoes and any other
equipment which is required to wear
while working.
These tools will prevent the workers
from the incidents that occur at
workplace.

Use the Equipment like Cutters, Grinders
properly that it should not harm you.
Throw out broken, dull, or rusty blades by
placing them in a puncture resistant
container.
Do not use excessive pressure when cutting.
Do not engage in discussions with your co-
workers while you are using a sharp tool.

Place all the Equipment on the right place so
that it will not harm you while working at
workplace.
Do not through the blades or any sharp
things on the floor.
15. Points to take care while using Grinding
Machine:
Always wear goggles during all operations.
Verify grinding wheels for cracks before mounting.
Never operate grinding wheels at speeds exceeding the
recommended limit.
Never adjust work mounting devices or workpiece while
operating.
Never exceed recommended depth of cut for grinding wheel
or machine.
The workpiece must be removed from the grinding wheel
before turning off.
Sufficient wheel guards must be used.
16. Points to take care while using Grinding
Machine:
Make sure that the workspace is clean and dry before using the unit, as slippery flooring may
cause injuries.
Operators must also wear close fitting protective clothing. This is necessary as loose clothing
items such as ties and shirt sleeves are likely to get entangled in the moving parts.
It is also compulsory to wear a hearing protection.
Operators must always wear sturdy footwear in the work areas.
The tool rest must be kept at proper distance from the wheel.
Machine guards must be in place and function properly.

possible.

In case of an emergency,
you’ll need quick, easy
access to the exits
So that you can easily access
at the time of Emergency.
21. Reduce Workplace Environment Stress:
Instead of taking stress on your
shoulders, you should discuss it with your
supervisor and ask him/her to look after
your problems which you are facing in
the organization.
22. Don’t Drink, Drug and Work
Stay Sober

due to alcohol and drugs.
