2. The images that I took for my magazine were all
taken from a few different places. One of which
was my house. I used my house and my
cousins house in order to take a few off the
photos of my cousins in order to use them.
Although the photos did not look the best due to
being able to see the wall and the lighting not
being the best, it was rather easy as they do not
live very close. Although the photos that I took
from the house were not the best due to the
lighting and the positioning, by using photoshop,
I was able to erase the background and play
around with the colour and contrast of my
images.
I also took photos by using the white screen
which was provided by the media department in
order to take some of my images for my
magazine. I did it on a white screen as my
images where able to come out a lot more
clearer and it look nicer. It was also easier for
me if I wanted to edit the background of them as
it is a white background. In addition, by using
the white screen background, it did not draw
attention away from the clothes and the colours
that my model were wearing. It allowed them to
look more professional and for them to stand
out more.

3. This is an example of a front cover page of
We Love Pop magazine. As you can see
the background of main image of Little Mix
is on a white screen as well. This allows
the colours of the artists and their clothes
to stand out. It also enables the magazine
to use more colour in the text, masthead,
sell lines, fashion article… This does not
make the magazine too bright, nor does it
make it boring and plain.
This is an example of a double page spread from Top Of The
Pops magazine. This shows The Wanted in a forest
paintballing. There are some double page spreads that do not
use the plain white background as they are about one
particular artist or band. Therefore they need to use bright
photos in different locations in order to get the reader
interested. This is appealing to the target audience as it
shows an element of fun within the two pages.
