Core Responsibilities
• To make sure maintenance & upkeep of each and every room under my supervision,
before guest’s arrival and after departure.
• To make sure upkeep and maintenance of public areas in the hotel.
• Replenishing & proper placement of room amenities.
• To make sure that the stay of guests’ is as comfortable as it could be, by providing fast
and prominent room service as and when required.
• Handling Housekeeping Control Desk.
• Missing & Breakage.
• Handling Lost & found of Guest.
 Key Operational Responsibilities:
 Implement and monitor Company policies, Standards and procedures.
 Monitor adherence to safety, hygiene & cleanliness standards.
 Adherence to cost standards laid down and constantly strives to improve quality and
control expenses.
 Prepare daily rosters and allocate duties among the staff.
 Guest interaction to obtain feedback on “Opportunities for Improvements” keeping the
guest perception in mind.
 Responsible for training & multi-skilling of the staff.
 Liaise with other departments for daily operations.
 To inspect all areas for cleanliness, hygiene and safety on a daily basis and monitor
adherence to standards and procedures.
 Responsible for all Upholstery and Furnishing Items used in the Hotel
(Includes – Ordering, upkeep & maintenance, and changing)
 Monitor grooming and hygiene standards of the department.
 Ensure that the environmental policies are implemented.
 Provide defect free rooms along with timely service to the guests.
 Linen and Uniform Management ( includes – Ordering, Inventory, Par stock maintaining
& Discard )
 Ensure Plan Preventive Maintenance of guest rooms, public areas and back of the house
areas.
 Supervise the employees who are on contract and liaise with various contractors.
 Prepare the Departmental Communication Cascade Report every month and share the
data with the Team in DCC every month.
 Key Administrative Responsibilities:
 Assist the EHK in planning of annual departmental budgets.
 Monitor and control inventory of supplies, par stocks etc.
 Maintain Quality standards and maximize utility of departmental resources.
 Monitor performance and expenses against budgets on a regular basis.
 Regularly update guest preferences.
 Improve efficiency standards to ensure better performance.
 Prepare the Monthly Management Meeting Report every month
 People Management:
 To encourage and develop staff to become multi skilled.
