How was scripting and storyboarding?
I think thatwhilst filming I didn’t get any of shots differently to my storyboardand all of
the words spoken in my film were on my script. I thinkthat the storyboardingwas harder
for me as I am notgood at Art and found it a little tricky to map out what I was thinking.
Filmingdid anything go wrong? What went right?
I think thatthe filming was good, however once I had filmed it all,I came back to where I
was done and realised that one of the shotsthat I hadfilmed hadno continuity and the
backgroundof the shothad changed. This meant thatI had to come back to filming and
make sure that it was the same as the clip before.
Editing how was it? Easy Hard? What was learnt?
I found editing to be quite a hardform of puttingall the clips togetherto begin with, but
once you do try it a couple of times, it becomes a lot easier to do it again. After doing at
least half of it I found the continuity issue which I had to go back and changeto make
sure it looked like it flowed from one scene to another. The hardestshotto edit and
make sure it looked like it flowed togetherwas the Match-on-Actionshot,where I take a
shot of Joey from behind and thentake one from the otherside of the door. It was easy
to film however putting togetherthe two clips makes it even harderas it has to flow
smoothly without any jump cuts.
If repeatedwhat wouldyou change?
If I could do it again I woulddefinitely make surethat the lightingin the room was better
by turningsome of the lightson to make it a bit easier for the other people to watch it.
The main thing I wouldchange thoughis havingto use a tripod to make sure thatI didn’t
get any of the shake that I did in my original. Also, the sound hadcorrupted on partof it,
meaning that I was not able to hear some of the audio when it had a close up on Ollie’s
face. This meant thatit didn’t flow the greatestas you couldn’thear exactly what they
were saying.
