  1. 1. AS Media: Technical Elements Exam Worksheet How does the following clip represent: 1. Mise-en-scene: Set/Location 1. Mise-en-scene: Costumes 1. Mise-en-scene: Colour 1. Mise-en-scene: Props 1.Mise-en-scene: Lighting 1.Mise-en-scene: Stars/Performance Set in Edinburgh Quite horrible Low status people living there The houses are very bare and have no paint on any of the walls. Bare costumes Very little change in what they wear throughout the trailer. Grey and dull a lot, due to them being in a dingy place in Edinburgh. The cigarette that Ewan McGregor smokes shows some sort of character development early into the trailer. All very grey and dull. Ewan McGregor plays “Renton” in the film “Trainspotting”. He plays it very well as he has the accent for Scotland. 2.Cinematography 3.Sound 3.Editing A lotof mediumclose upsandclose ups in the trailer. Theyare usedto introduce all of the cast into the film and give you an inside into what it is about. Voice over Music in the background whilst introducing characters.
