WORK EXPERIENCE
American Rags (Pvt) Ltd (Used Clothing) EPZA (Karachi) June 2014 – Till to Date
Working as “General Manager Operations deals in institutional mix rags having office in Houston USA. I am
heading all operation in factory which includes dealing with day to day matters, Hiring Labor, Daily
production, Import and export, making grades and looking after the sales of out lets and warehouses in
Africa. Fully aware of the markets we are exporting to and making recipes accordingly.
My responsibility also includes monitoring sales targets in Africa/ local market and negotiating best prices
with local and international buyers, making sure all shipments are on time.
Capable of starting any new factory from scratch which includes setting up all departments providing
concrete infrastructure /Making HR policies & designing/planning the work flow. Have good contacts with
Production Managers & supervisors working in used clothing able to arrange workers to start factory
within reasonable time.
Our major export is to U.S.A, Central Africa (Congo) (Kampala) (Matadi) Philippine, Dubai, Australia,
Malaysia, Thailand.

Work Wear Clothing.
Worked in above factory as General Manager Production / Operations, had the opportunity to start the
unit from scratch. That includes planning/procurement of sewing machinery HR hiring and system
development execution of work. Unit was Producing “Protective Apparels “in performance fabrics like
DuPont Nomex / Meta aramid / Kevlar used in oil & gas construction/Glass Industry etc. Major export was
to Gulf countries /Russia & Europe. During my tenure not a single shipment was late, Increased the
product range as well, initial business was of U.S.D12 million I took it up to U.S.D 23 million with in the
short span of two years.

To consolidate the existing customers by means of customer satisfaction achieved through TOTAL
QUALITY MANAGEMENT.

Developing new accounts by representing Technical Textiles in meetings with the potential buyers,
answering the queries, quoting the prices and submission of samples.
Assigning inquiries and customer accounts to Merchandisers after getting approval from CEO for
the same.
Planning the monthly and quarterly shipment plans in consultation with the PPC Dept., Commercial
Dept., Production Dept. and Finance Dept.
Looking after all the customers' accounts personally with the help of an organized merchandising

Worked as Divisional Manager Merchandising. Mainly doing business with the multinational buying houses
core product was denim and non-denim bottoms. Have sufficient knowledge of denim and non-denim
fabrics including different washes and treatments applied on garments. My division was handling
business of USD 32 million.

Manager Merchandising
Transferred to Lahore office to handle Kohl’s account with the team of 4 merchandisers. Main product was
knits top for different Kohl’s divisions Men’s /Young Men’s / Active Wear.
I was assigned to develop new markets, have traveled to Jordan & Madagascar and had a very successful
trip. Placed orders of Kohl’s and other customers in Jordan. Periodically attended placement meeting in
Hong Kong. In my tenure achieved comprehensive growth in terms of value from USD 22 million to USD
38 million.
Responsibilities
Consolidation of existing business by continuous marketing support with customized product
development, pricing and orders finalization.
Travelled abroad for developing new business accounts by meetings, presentations and
development of product line according to buyer’s requirements.
Negotiating price points with buyers & suppliers.

Shift In charge Woven Garment Factory
Initially worked as production supervisor than promoted as Shift in-charge responsible of handling the
complete unit of 600 machines along with washing & finishing. The unit was equipped with state of the art
machineries Main products were denim and non denim bottoms and tops for U.S.A through importers and
direct buyers. Overall it was a good experience and with my personal interest and passion of learning I
gained lot of knowledge about products and production.

Marathon Garments (Karachi Pakistan) February1990 - December 1990
(Production Supervisor) Woven Garment Factory
Started career in above factory and worked in production department as a trainee for first 3months then
promoted to production supervisor under supervision of production manager I was responsible of handling
separate production hall consisting of 250 machines. Major product was denim/ woven pants & shirts.
