Working Title:
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later.
- Coca-Cola BLM radio ad
Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
My products purpose is to educate and promote, I will achieve this by creating my product to be very
powerful, short and understandable as well as including the branding.
Genre:
What sort of product is it?
A radio ad
Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here.
My product is a radio advert for Coca-Cola which also promotes the current effects of the BLM
movement in hopes to educate the audience on recent happenings around the world, I will include an
audio of a BLM march to get the audience thinking it will then cut to a can being cracked open
followed by a small silence with an inspirational slogan over the top. The aim of this is to inspire
people to learn more about current world issues and to hopefully help the world become a small bit
more peaceful.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc.
Why would your project appeal to this person?
My target audience is not set I do not have a desired age to attend to because I would like the ad to
reach all ages and inspire people of all different ages to act and help educate themselves on current
world topic, there is also no set gender for my ad to appeal to mainly because I am trying to raise
awareness of current world issues which applies to all genders. Like the age and gender there will be
no set social status as Coca-Cola is enjoyed by most social classes making it more inclusive. The
psychographic of my audience will be people who enjoy the radio or people who may be driving
around and actively listen to the radio.
Research and Planning:
What elements of your research and planning will you use in your final production?
I will use most of my research in my final product to create a well-rounded idea of what the public will
want to hear on the radio. Specifically, I will use the sounds of protest marches in the background as
this will make the advert more emotionally connectable and will draw in more listeners and have more
chance surfacing on social media to then be listened to elsewhere. I will also use the information I
found out from my research such as all the first and second-hand data which I can decide between,
helping me produce a more universally agreed on radio advert.

Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include? None
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? No, it will be on the public radio.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? I will aim for it not too and will be careful to not
offend any cultures or religions etc.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? By researching similar adverts and global issues
from the past and seeing what controversy’s may be left behind them.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? I will be using protesters audio from
YouTube, which is copyright free, so it falls under fair use.
Will your product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement? Yes, and I will be researching what may fall under fair use and what I could get
copyrighted for, so I know what I am able to use If I need any inspiration.
