Project & Portfolio I: Week 4
November 16, 2020
Kimberly “Kimmy” Cole, was born and raised in a small town
in northern Minnesota, and is pursuing her degree in
Entertainment Business through Full Sail University. Kimmy
has a broad background of work experience from retail and
sales to where she has been the last 3 years, in the live
events and venue industry. Though having been in the
venue industry a short time, Kimmy has been involved in
many supporting roles such as administration, financial
assistant and currently her leadership role over the ticket
office. Not only has her education helped her to expand her
skills needed for day to day operations within the venue,
her personal experiences have taken her to new horizons
she never thought to be possible, fueling her passion for
the industry further. In the future, Kimmy hopes to continue
to grow her career in venue management and either work
for bigger facilities within the VenuWorks company or start a
new journey with Spectra or National Independent Venues
Association (NIVA).

by 5 year employment mark. Example: Box Office, Cash
Room, Operations, etc. by October 31st, 2025
Long Term: (2040)
• Establish my own venue management company to then partner
with the National Independent Venues Association.
‣ Collaborate with previously established management
companies such as Spectra and VenuWorks as well as
artists and other industry leaders and obtain at least 3
endorsements in starting up the management company
by December 31st, 2040.

You know how low the attendance was at
that event last month? Well, what I do is form
bonds with people to learn more about their
passions to find what the community is really looking for in an event. In
fact, at this month’s hockey game, I worked with the college to come up
with a better way to get more students at the hockey games. I created a
cheaper priced ticket for the students and named a section for them to
call their own, and with that the student section was full!

  • 2. Kimberly “Kimmy” Cole, was born and raised in a small town in northern Minnesota, and is pursuing her degree in Entertainment Business through Full Sail University. Kimmy has a broad background of work experience from retail and sales to where she has been the last 3 years, in the live events and venue industry. Though having been in the venue industry a short time, Kimmy has been involved in many supporting roles such as administration, financial assistant and currently her leadership role over the ticket office. Not only has her education helped her to expand her skills needed for day to day operations within the venue, her personal experiences have taken her to new horizons she never thought to be possible, fueling her passion for the industry further. In the future, Kimmy hopes to continue to grow her career in venue management and either work for bigger facilities within the VenuWorks company or start a new journey with Spectra or National Independent Venues Association (NIVA).
