 Responsible for the front of house of the Hub and controlling all costs relating to
the operation of the club within budget focussing particularly on payroll, stock,
marketing, consumables and waste
 Ensuring that the department is covered by a rota that does not compromise
level of service or budget and ensuring the business runs to a high operational
standard, is safe and clean at all times and that the whole team consistently strive
to deliver excellent service
 Ensuring that all areas of Front of House are following health and safety, food

 Ensuring all staff training is up to date and all staff are equipped to carry out their

 Managing the Retail department which consists of a bar, one gift shop, one
snack/convenience shop, coffee lounge and vending machines.
 Overseeing the merchandising and sales for three other centres – This has help in
increasing company revenue and helps to spread the company brand further.
 Managing departmental budgets and welfare budgets alongside the General
Manager and assisting in the setting of future forecasts and targets – Through
doing this I ensure that departments do not overspend and that we achieve
targets for maximum profit.
 Overseeing the monthly stocktaking and am responsible for all the ordering in
the department and designing/selecting of new products – This has ensured that
we always have new items to interest the guests and that any discrepancies are
recording to ensure maximum profit.
 Issuing purchase orders and assisting with invoices/petty cash to help the finance
team and the General Manager
 Negotiating with a range of suppliers to get the best prices to improve the profit
margin for my company. This has resulted in our profit margin increasing to
50%.
 Responsible for the weekly banking, making sure everything is correct before
sending all paperwork to HQ and banking the takings into the company account.
 Responsible for searching out new contacts that can provide the company with
further profit and coming with new ideas to increase and improve the retail
department and profit for the company overall. This has resulted in the 2015
targets not only being met but exceeded.
 Responsible for the organising and running of all staff events, ensuring that there
is an exciting and varied range of events to entertain the staff. This has resulted in
staff morale being raised meaning better work performance, belter results and
increased profits.
 One of the managers responsible for providing tours/inspection visits for
possible future guests and providing them with all the information they would
require if they were to visit including risk assessments – this has resulted in an
increase in bookings
 Responsible in assisting all management in the running of a centre that caters for
500 guests and 100+ staff; majority of which are residential.
