Assisted Project Manager and Superintendent with scheduling and planning,
cost estimates, budget preparation, trade coordination, contract
administration, RFP, RFI issuance etc. The project utilized extensive structural
and architectural concrete precast elements; erecting large precast panels,
pipe fitting 400+ feet of steel pipe for a 1,000,000 BTU steam plant, and
constructing a 2,500 sq ft aluminum truss curing bldg.

Built and progressed detailed and high level schedules for insitu oilsands
facility projects including Phase 1 of the $2-Billion MRX plant in the Mackay
River area using Primavera P3/5e and MS Project. Was designated Project
Controls Lead for the $70-Million Chloride Reduction Project for the Mackay
River 1 Plant which included preparation and maintenance of cash flow reports,
monthly accruals, forecasting manpower requirements, etc., and compiling
these into monthly/quarterly reports. Also set up the project budget into a
detailed work breakdown structure, tracked costs to the WBS, monitored scope
changes and forecasted related costs against contingency and management
reserve funds. Work included trips to site (Ft. McMurray) for biweekly
construction management meetings.

Scheduler Planner / Management Trainee
Started with Flint in the Management Trainee program. This involved initially
laboring onsite at various pipeline and oil and gas facility projects as a Welders
Helper, Pipefitters Helper, brief stints of heavy equipment operating,
progressing to Labour foreman, QC supervisor, and then Scheduler/Planner.
Scheduled activities for small diameter shallow gas wellhead to compressor
pipeline tie-ins for an extensive program of approx 500 tie-ins per year with
the aid of Microsoft Project. Other duties included giving safety presentations
to field staff, on site Quality Control, and estimating installations of large scale
gas compressor packages.
