Kayla St. Cartier has over 10 years of experience as a piping designer and drafter. She is fluent in English and French. Some of her past projects include working as the lead piping designer for the MCINNIS CEMENT PLANT in Gaspésie, Quebec and as a designer for the ALSTOM POWER Soldier’s Pond Project in Newfoundland. Currently, she is continuing her chemical engineering education at Concordia University part-time while working as a piping designer at LDV CONSULTANTS INC. She has strong computer and design skills including AutoCAD, CadWorx, Plant3D and SmartPlant.

piping designer for the glycol water system, design and 3D modeling of piping using Plant3D;
design and verification of piping supports and anchors, creation of isometric drawing templates,
coordination between various disciplines, engineering firms, and vendors.
ALSTOM POWER – Soldier’s Pond Project – Lower Churchill – St.John’s, Newfoundland 2015
Designer – Piping design for the BOP as well as auxiliary equipment layout design surrounding
the synchronous condenser. Design and verification of piping supports, created 2D general
layout drawings and detail drawings. Responsible for creating and maintaining Piping Line Lists
and Manual Valve Lists as well as Mechanical Equipment Lists.
