Senior Project Controls Manager.
Project consists of the design of a GIS and transformers in eleven existing substations.
Duties include weekly resource planning, schedule updates, milestone tracking and critical path
analysis. Change order log and monthly cost and cash flow reporting.
Electrical Transmission Texas (ETT), Competitive Renewable Energy Zone (CREZ) Project,
Central Texas, Assistant Project Controls Manager.
Project consists of the design and construction of 345 kV transmission and substation
facilities to facilitate the transmission of wind generated energy from west to east in Texas. Duties
included development of a weekly Transmission Line construction report that tacked percent
complete using earned value, quantities installed versus planned, forecasted completion based on
achieved installation rates. Was able to prove to the Subcontractor that based on their achieved
installation rates that additional crews were needed, they eventually agreed an brought in additional
crews and equipment and completed on time.
PSEG, Program Manager 230 kV Upgrade Projects, Princeton New Jersey, Project Controls
Manager.
Project consists of the design and construction of 230 kV transmission line and substation.
Duties included development of a Project Cost Report (PRISM) that aligned with the clients WBS and
included actual costs and commitments from the clients cost system (SAP). Prepared and issued
monthly cost and trend reports, cash flows, and contingency draw down. Developed an integrated
schedule that included PSE&G, URS Outside Plant Engineering, Inside Plant Engineering Contractors,
and Permitting, Procurement and Construction and Sequencing Plan. Issued and presented a bi-
weekly schedule reports that included, critical path analysis, Project milestone tracking, Engineering
deliverable and activity completion tracking, float density, and one month look-ahead's. Project was
completed on time and under budget.
PSEG, Hudson U/2 BET Project, Jersey City, New Jersey, Project Controls Manager.
Project consisted of take over from another contractor and completion of design,
procurement, subcontracting, construction and start-up of an SCR, Baghouse and SDA within twenty
months. Managed the Project Cost Report (including owner's costs), cash flows, performance
monitoring (CPI) and contingency draw down. Lead the development of the integrated resource and
quantity loaded Project schedule from project take over through commissioning to meet Government
imposed completion dates, issued weekly schedule reports which included, critical path analysis,
quantity tracking, two-week look-ahead's, and histograms. Project completed 10 days prior to the
Government imposed completion date.
2. GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy, ESBWR Project, Princeton, New Jersey, Project Controls Manager
Project consisted of developing the generic design of the GE-Hitachi ESBWR. Managed the
development of an integrated (GE-Hitachi, and two Engineering and Construction firms) Engineering
and Procurement schedule, cost tracking, change order preparation and submittal, forecasting and
performance reporting. Lead the development of the Nuclear Island construction schedule and cash
flow, also worked directly with a utility to develop their site preparation schedule.
Power Transmission and Distribution North Iraq, Princeton, New Jersey, Project Controls
Manager.
Project consisted of rebuilding substations and transmission lines in Iraq. Managed the cost
tracking, forecasting, performance reporting, contract change request development and submittal.
Lead the schedule development of the installation and commissioning of the country-wide SCADA
system.
PSEG, Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey, Project Controls
Manager.
Seconded to PSEG as a Project Controls Manager to manage three large Capital Projects
(Electrical Raceway Fire Barrier, Dry Cask Storage and CFCU Chilled Water Cooling) Projects totaling
$150M . Duties included development and maintenance of Level III project schedules, estimates, cash
flows, processing/coordinate requisitions, contract change requests, and monthly accruals.
Developed a detailed cost report and an Executive Summary Report. Two of the Projects completed
on time and on budget and one was cancelled.
Exelon Corporation, Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility,
Project Lump Sum Project, Delta, Pennsylvania, Project Controls Manager.
Duties included development and maintenance of cost tracking system (CRMS), project
schedule, preparation and submittal of contract change requests, and update of manual/non-manual
performance reports.
PSEG, Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Steam Generator Replacement Project, Hancock's
Bridge, New Jersey, Project Controls Supervisor.
Project consisted of Engineering, Licensing and logistics to remove four Steam Generators
from a moth balled plant in New Hampshire, transportation and installation in Salem Unit #1.
Managed preparation and monitoring of resource loaded integrated schedule for engineering,
construction, subcontractors, and licensing departments. Analyzed and presented the critical path at
the weekly Project Review meeting with the Owner.
Exelon Corporation, Limerick Generating Station Unit 2, Fourth Refueling Outage, Sanatoga,
Pennsylvania, Project Controls Supervisor.
Duties included development and maintenance of cost tracking system, contract change
request log, and manual/non-manual performance report for T&M, incentive, and lump sum projects.
Prepared and monitored budgets for, access training and scaffolding.
