1. 7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it
to the full product?
I feel that after the preliminary task I changed my product hugely, this was for the better. Now
looking back I can see how unprofessional my prelim magazine was, my main target for this main
task was to ensure that this is changed. I started by following more conventions, I realised that by
doing this the magazine had a better overall look, it also made it follow the trends set by other
leading magazines. On the mock magazine I did not edit the pictures; they were left raw, however on
my main magazine this was changed I used the brightness/contrast tool to make the images stand
out. I have learnt that mise-en-scene is vital for an effective magazine and I used various props in my
images and kept track of this by using a props list.
