My responsibilities in the shop were-
• The day to day running of the store
• I ensured all agreed commercial KPI's were met. These covered: Sales, stock control, staff cost, mystery
shopper results and P&L costs etc.
• l worked to ensure my team consistently delivered excellent standards of customer service with a can-do
attitude. Also ensuring that they remained professional when dealing with customer complaints and/or queries
and are aware of their responsibilities as Brand Ambassadors.
• I followed all VM guidelines to ensure that my store is laid out to maximize customer flow and sales potential.
• I trained and developed all staff members to become experts in all product categories concerning features
& benefits, fit & sizes, ranges & styles and prices.
• Actively coached and developed all staff through regular performance reviews and training.
• Recruited and inducted all new staff members in accordance with the company guidelines and ensured they
reflected the standards and criteria expected.
• I Worked with the General Manager to guarantee that all key events or periods are well organized and planned
for (eg: Seasonal sales, Christmas, Easter, promotions etc)
• I ensured that all aspects of the store's operations are carried out according to the company's guidelines and
manuals using the tools available. These included: Health & Safety, administration, maintenance, security,
banking, stocktaking and housekeeping etc.
When I acquired the above role I was ensured with the responsibility of launching a brand new store. As well
as challenging I also found this exciting, over the past twelve months I experienced the store grow and reach
its full potential.

My main tasks in the shop were-
