The company was founded in 1912 by Carl Laemmle and 7 other wizards of
the film world. Universal is currently the top film studios I the world with a
total grossing of 193 million and a market share of 22%. It is the oldest film
studios in the united states and the fourth oldest in the world still
running, Universal had filmed some of the largest films ever seen such as
the iconic Frankenstein. The studio has even opened their own theme park
as well as a film studio in Hollywood.
3. Paramou

Founded in 1912 as Famous Players Film Company Paramount changed its name in
1914 and is currently the 2nd largest film studio to date behind Universal. Paramount
currently own 19.1% of the market share between 17 of the biggest companies.
Paramount is the 5th oldest production company in the world completing 147 films
in total. Paramount faired well last year, bringing a further 10 films to the cinema
world. One of their biggest hits from 2013 was The Wolf Of Wall street which made
$265,261,182 in the Box office alone.
4. Buena
Vista
Buena Vista was established in 1953 and it handles distribution for films produced by
Walt Disney Studios, before 1953 Walt Disney was distributed by Columbia Pictures which
is currently the 4th largest production company in the current market. The company have
made huge cinema sensations such as Marvel’s The Avengers which is the 2nd highest
grossing film of all time as well as the 2006 hit Pirates Of The Caribbean: dead mans chest.
Together the two films made almost 3 billion dollars in worldwide ticket sales.
