2. The original…
This was my first contents page. When
printed out, it helped me realize the
main image was way too big, and by
making it smaller I would be able to fit
in many more pages. I also had to
make the font size smaller.
3. With a few changes…
I moved the image to the other
side, after making it smaller, which
meant I could have more pages and
more space to work with. I also added
Facebook and Twitter details at the
bottom to promote the magazine.
4. I realized I would need an editor’s note,
because this is a big convention in many
rock music magazines. I also moved the
images down to make space for this.
In many KERRANG! Magazines, they have
a picture of the editor, so I decided to take
one of myself, as it can show my target
audience who I am and that I am a real
person. However, I didn’t have an image
at this point.
5. I added my selfie, and also copied my
front cover for the subscribe box. I’ve
also put in “Cover photo: Utopia” up the
side, because I noticed that this is used in
magazines, although it is quite a small
detail.
6. Subscription box…
This picture just shows that I edited the
yellow subscription box, because before
hand it wasn’t in line with the black
editor’s note box, or the image.
7. And finally…
I added more pages, having 80 instead of
20, like I did at the beginning.
I think it looks better now, because I
think I have used the colours well and
evenly.
