• Advantages
– An advantage of primary research is that it can be easier to find more
reliable sources in comparison to secondary research
– Another advantage of primary research is that you can access your
questionnaire or survey data straight away.
• Disadvantages
– One disadvantage could be not getting information from a reliable
source.
– Another disadvantage could be that this method is time consuming

– Some examples of doing primary research are questionnaires, surveys,
interviews and product analysis

– Secondary research is research that has been conducted by someone
else.

– One advantage is that the research has already been done for you
– Another advantage is that there is a large variety of sources avaliable

– One disadvantage is the research may not be what your looking for.

– An advantage of quantitative research is that it can be easier to interpret
over qualitative data.

surveys to people as you can do it online

– A disadvantage could be that it is time consuming to create a survey with
20 questions in.

target audience you should get the correct research to help.

data as they are opinions

seem time consuming so people fake answers to finish it quicker

questionnaires about a product to see what consumers feel about it

• An advantage of production research is that it helps you find
out what you need to carry out and complete the project

for the piece of media may not be possible to do with the
software that is provided.

– Subjective means the research that has been influenced by
feelings or opinions

– Valid means if the research is able to answer the intended
outcome/ question
• Reliable
• Reliable means the research creates accurate and
correct results
