Photoshop Assignment
Using Adobe Photoshop, I made several edits to a picture of my boyfriend
and myself. I started out by shrinking the image. I went to the image tab in the
top left corner, and chose image size to reduce the size from 900x12600 to
330x504. After I resized the image, I chose the magnetic Lasso tool located on the
left side of the page to draw an outline of my boyfriend and myself. From there, I
created a new page using the file tab and selecting new. I created the new page to
be a 5x7 page, and then copied and pasted the cut out image on to the new page.
After the image was pasted to the new page, I zoomed in on the image using CTRL
+, and then used the eraser tool to clean up the parts of the image that I missed
using the magnetic lasso tool. Then, I created a new layer using the layers tab
located at the top of the page. After the new layer was created and titled “Color”,
I selected the rectangle marquee tool to select the entire page and then added
color to the background using the set foreground color tab on the left hand of the
page. After the background color was set, I adjusted the brightness as well as the

2. saturation and contrast on the image using the tools located on the right side of
the page. Then I saved the image as a JPEG file onto my Vdrive.
