4. For this, I zoomed in on an establishing shot
of the sunset and positioned it to show the
clouds. For the actor I selected him using the
quick selection tool and then created a mask
layer. I softened out the edges to make sure
the corners were not pointy or harsh. I then
added an inner glow because it was difficult
to see him against the light background.
Using arial font in bold I added the credits
and also the website and social media pages.
I kept to the ‘Z’ pattern shape as this is a
method to attract the audiences eye. For the
social media logos I downloaded a PNG and
then dragged them into the picture. I used
the commands Ctrl and T to resize them to
make them small and held Shift to make sure
they were in the correct proportion.
5. CD
For the CD I wanted it to be simple and to
have the ‘AGAPE’ logo. I cropped out the
shape of the CD by using the magic tool and
then deleting the inside. I then replaced the
image with the picture of the sunset. I
decided to use this picture because I believe
it effectively creates an understanding of the
sunset theme and stands out as it is in the
centre. I decided not to add an orange
overlay because the picture was already this
colour tone. For the agape font I copied it
from my other digipak and warped the text
to make it fit along the bottom of the CD. I
also spaced it to 65pt to make it more easy
to read and appealing to the eye.
6. For this cover I added an orange box
and decreased the opacity to 25%. I
then added a font that is clear to read
but also has a romantic theme which is
also used in the other covers. I added
an outer glow to the font because the
black colour was blending in too much
with the background. I decided not to
use a white font because it looked too
plain and was also difficult to read. I put
the font at the top of all the layers to
make sure it stood out against the
orange undertone.
7. This picture was simply adjusted with an
orange colour overlay with the opacity
put down to 25%. I added a white
coloured flower design underneath the
title. Originally this PNG was black
however, it did not stand out on my
digipaks. Therefore I changed the colour
by adding a colour overlay. I positioned
these on the top right corner because that
was the perfect empty space and doesn’t
distract too much attention from the
artist.
