1. ASSURE Method: Tuesday
Analyze Learners: Students will be in 10
th
grade, and there will be 11 females and 9 males. This
course is an Honors Biology class. There are 14 Caucasian students, 4 African American
students, and 2 Hispanic students in this class. Due to the fact this is an optional honors course;
no students require modifications or special accommodations.
State Objectives: Students will be able to discuss the main points involving Charles Darwin,
natural selection, and the Galapagos Islands by the end of the day with a 90% accuracy rate by
watching a YouTube Storytelling, looking at Photoshop pictures, and talking on the Zello app.
Select Methods, Media, and Materials: Upon entering the room the students will quietly take
their seats. We will begin the class for the day by looking at a YouTube Storytelling that I have
created. We will then discuss the aspects of I that are important or interested them. After this we
will look at a Photoshop picture that I had done and compare it to the original picture so that they
can see and understand what parts of the lesson that I think are important. At the end of the class
I will introduce Zello and tell students about the app and how they can ask each other questions
if they have any problems with future assignments.
Utilize Materials and Methods: As usual I will make sure all of the media and materials that
we will be using for the day work properly. I will guide students throughout the discussion and
emphasize main points that they need to know.
Require Learner Participation: Students will be required to participate in the classroom
activities today. I will check Zello and tell them all to test it out. Students are required to also
watch the YouTube Storytelling and ask questions about it.
2. Evaluation and Revision: Students will receive their daily grade of participation by completing
and participating in all assignments. After the Storytelling assignment students will write a
paragraph worth five points discussing the main points of the video and interesting facts. I would
lecture if the equipment did not work today.
