communication between people all over the world. We bring
together economies and societies as we work together to
keep our world going ‘round.

 Most of all, CONNECTIVITY

4. Importance
 Connects the world
 Realize the global aspects in our everyday lives
 Information is easily accessed
 Multiple perspectives of many different cultures

5. Role in 21st Century Education
 Allows students and teachers the ability to interact with
different schools worldwide.
 Information is shared between different nations and
nationalities leading to universal collaboration.
 The Internet allows unlimited communication,
information, and research among every nation on the
planet.
 Ideas and thoughts can be shared to improve classroom
management, creativity, and teaching skills.
 It’s a small world after all!

6. Promoting Globalization in
the Classroom
 Create a Twitter chat
 Create a Globe BOT
 Create YouTube Messages to Pen Pals from other countries
 Blogging about how their culture differs from others
 Use of posters around that display cultural differences such school lunch,
what happens on the first day of school, where our foods come from, etc.

7. Technology in the Classroom
 Watch a video about another culture
 Blog about…
 what they saw
 what they think
 what they want to know
 Have students create a video of what the students believe represents
their culture
 Have them share the video on YouTube
 Send the video and their questions to PenPals, and discuss questions
with them

8. Conclusion
Globalization is essential in the development of 21st
Century Education. The information and
communication that can be shared among different
nations can lead to an improvement of the way
students are taught and schools function. The
benefits of understanding how each nation engages
their students can help improve the methods that
teachers are able to help make their students
successful.
