2. The target audience for my thriller opening
sequence would be teenagers, both, male and
female around the ages of 15-18 and people who
are into thrillers and like the mysteriousness and
suspense.
3. The reason it would be suitable for this age group is
because it wouldn't be a gruesome, over the top scary
thriller. It would just be a normal straight forward thriller so
this age range fits the best; a normal thriller meaning a
thriller without any gruesome blood scenes. The thriller is an
intense mysterious thriller showing lots of tension taking
place but with no scenes showing what has happened to
build the tension, like fighting scenes or bloody scenes.
4. Although the target audience for my thriller is 15-18
year olds, the average age of cinema audiences are
16-34 year olds. I would still say that people over the
age of 18 can watch the film, though they might not
enjoy it as much as those of the younger age.
5. The reason as to why I have limited the age range for my
thriller is because I don’t see anyone over the teenage
years enjoying it. To be aimed at anyone over the age of
18 it would have to be more exciting and scary in order to
keep them interested. My group research target
audiences before we made our thriller and with this
research we could see that it wouldn’t be suited to those
of over the age of 18. The research told us several different
things of what we could do to make an older target
audience but as a group we decided that our overall
idea was suited towards a younger age range and we
weren't able to add some things in to make it a different
target audience due to not having the right equipment.
