I have used Final cut pro editing program to
edit my music video.

I am quite familiar with this editing program as I have used it to edit my
opening sequence for last year. I have learned some basic editing
techniques in terms of how to cut a certain shot and put all of them
together. I also learn how to add soundtracks and some editing techniques
like transition to make my opening sequence looks even more ‘movie-like’.

In this preliminary task, I have learned even more about using multi-cam
techniques to make editing much more easier, with the timing and etc. I
also learned how to make ‘beats mark’ on the music so I can cut the shot
in times with the beats, which is much more efficient.
4. HD Video Camera:
I have used a different camera this time to film my music video
rather than the camera I used last time to film my opening
sequence.

Last time I used a video camera provided by my school and a
camera of my own, Nikon COOLPIX 120 and they have shown
the different quality in filming.
This time, my partner and I used the HD video camera,
provided by our school to film the music video instead so, we
would get the same quality for the whole video.
I am quite familiar with all of them, since they are quite similar.

I have also used my media blog to record all the
preparation work I have done before filming the
music video.
6. Is There a Technology You Want to Develop in
Your Main Music Video?
I would like to try out several functions in Final Cut
Pro, as we don’t really get much time to play with it
this time.
I would also maybe try filming with a different
camera, so I could get a much better quality
outcome as I think it is important when it comes to
music video.
