• The girl comes out of school angry.
• She then slams the door to her room and starts to smash the place.
• She sits in the corner and she is shaking.
• she puts her hands to her head then the voices start to whisper.
• Cuts to her sleeping.
• A louder voice starts to speak and tells her to kill her family.
• She sleep walks, so she gets up.
• She then goes to the kitchen to grab a knife.
• Ends with a shot of the knife with blood on it.
4. Idea Details- Gabriella
I got inspiration from the following films:
Donnie Darko
Orphan
Basic Story:
There is a girl that has a hard life at home and is angry at the world most of the time. She has outbursts of anger and when that happens, she can hear the
voices in her head come out. She tries her block them during the day as she can control them, but during the night, the voices control her. So in the night
because she sleep walks, the voices tell her to kill her family and she obeys because she cant control her sleep walking.
This is suitable for my sub genre which is psychological horror because she can hear voices and they control her, so she has a mental illness.
The characters are mainly the girl which is portrayed as being tough, but that's only a facade to hide her weak and mental interior. The group of bullies are
four girls are portrayed as being girly and snobby. The are always laughing and checking their nails etc.
The conventions that I used are the voices in the girl head which is what psychotic characters tend to hear. A knife as the weapon as characters with mental
illnesses tend to have their weapon of choice.
This will be set partly at school and the rest of it at the girls home which is another convention because psychological horrors tend to be set in ordinary
settings.
The narrative structure will be conventional as there will be no flashbacks and there would also be both explicit and implicit things going on.
The enigma code for the audience is how did the girl get those voices in her head and also why the girls at school were bullying her.
The target audience for my opening sequence is going to be 15+ and generally people who love psychological horrors around the world.
5. IDEA IN 10 BULLETS POINTS- Ewelina
• Layken is sitting on her bed in psychiatric facility, this is her last day in this place.
• Nurse came to her room to tell her that her mum is waiting for her in reception
• Layken is standing up – FLASHBACK to the accident
• Layken is greeting with her mum, at the same time she is nervously playing with bracelet, which she get from her
twin
• Layken and her mum are getting into a car – FLASKBACK to the accident when she saw her dead twin
• Layken with her mum are already outside their home
• Layken is going straight away to her twin’s bedroom. She discovers that her twin’s bedroom is empty. She sat at
the floor and she starts to cry, at the same time she is nervously playing with bracelet, which she get from her
twin
• FLASHBACK when she played with her twin, when they were happy
• Layken stops crying, starts smiling and stands up. Layken is going to mirror
• She is looking at their reflection, believing that this is her dead twin, she start to speak to her dead twin that
they will found this man (twin’s boyfriend) who made that Layken’s twin is not visible for anyone, only for her
and they will make he will be suffered
6. I got inspiration from following film:
- The ward
Basic story
Layken had twin – Lessly. Lessly die in car accident two years ago, which was caused by Lessly’s boyfriend Scott. He didn’t go to prison.
Layken broke down mentally after she lost her sister in car accident, as this was her twin and they were really close. Her psychological
problems caused that she was closed in herself and she didn’t talk to anyone, so that’s why they took her to psychiatric facility. After two
years they though that she feels better and they decided that she can back to home. In this time, when Layken was in psychiatric facility, her
and Lessly’s parents threw Lessly’s stuff as they though they are useless. They didn’t know that Layken think that she see Lessly in her mirror
reflection. When Layken and her mum back to home, she goes to Lessly room. When she discover that her room is empty she is heartbroken
that her parents threw Lessly’s staff. She goes to mirror to talk to her dead sister to decide that she want to hurt Scott for all things he did and
he isn’t even in prison.
This story is suitable for my subgenre (psychological) as main character see her dear sister
The character is unstable mentally, she think she see her dead sister in the mirror and she can talk with her. When she is seeing her mirror
reflection in the mirror, her facial expression change to confident and ‘evil’
The conventions are that main characters has double personality. Also there are include flashbacks
The location for this idea will be filmed in house. In flashback with car accident we can film in isolated place
Narrative structure will be unconventional, as it has flashbacks to car accident where Lessly die
The enigma for audience will be, what Layken wants to do to Scot
My target audience will be 15+, and also everyone who loves psychological movies
7. Idea Details- Nikol
Nikol - idea details
I got my inspiration from the following films:
The exorcist
Insidious
Sinister
I got inspiration from the following opening sequence:
The closet
- I liked the camera angles, movements and shots used. I also think the story line was quite original and interesting to watch.
Basic story:
Teenage girl which has a demon inside her and attacks her pray at the most unexpected times - this is uncontrolled by her and transformation starts when loud noises start
to appear in her head. Girl turns into a alter ego of herself as a murderous blood-wanting demon takes over her actions and emotions.
This story is suitable for my sub genre because this type of story will scare the audience as well as interested them in the story behind the teenage girl.
The characters are :
Teenage girl - represented as quite normal girl until her alter ego kicks in (becomes untameable and destructive)
Man - a normal innocent man which is just going home
The conventions I applied are:
- small isolated places
- dark colours and supernatural/ religious icons
The locations I would use :
- a lift in my building
- the hallway in my building
The narrative structure would be conventional and linear.
The enigma for the audience would be: the story behind how the teenage girl was pray for the demons and what will she do / will the demon control her forever.
