3. Themes
Jealousy: Angela is jealous of the lives that the 3 girls
are able to live. She isn’t able to do the things that she
wanted to because her life was tragically cut short
because of her mother.
Revenge: Angela wants revenge on the three girls for
living the life she wanted in her home.
4. Influence
The theme of the film ‘Orphan’ is jealousy and revenge
because the main character Esther is jealous of the family
that adopted her, especially the relationship the mum and
dad because Esther is infatuated with the Dad. This is very
similar to ‘Angela’ as Angela is jealous of the lives that the
girls are living.
5. Costume & Props
Costume - Angela is a demonic spirit therefore her face
will not be shown. However one of the girls will get
possessed by Angela, this will be shown by her clothes
being ripped and messy. Also her hair will be out of
place to show demonic side and her face will be pale
with bruises
Props – The props that will be used is fake blood, when
deaths occur to make the scene more graphic.
6. Synopsis
• Three girls move into their new university house, they unpack
all there belongings and settle in.
• To make friends and get to know people they throw a party to
celebrate the beginning of there independent lives.
• Weird encounters begin to erupt, different supernatural
occurrences begin to happen around the house which alarms
the girls. They see different sightings of a ghostly figure
through mirrors and windows.
• One of the three girls gets attacked during their sleep which
traumatizes her.
• The second girl gets possessed by the sprit and tries to kill her
two friends, she only kills one of them.
• The third girl is the only one left against her friend who’s body
has been possessed, and with the help of a demonologist they
eventually relieve the girls body of the spirit.
7. Target Audience
The target audience will generally be aimed towards
teenagers, which is why the rating will be a 15. Also it
will be most likely to be more relatable to teenagers
because the protagists are a group of teenagers and the
antagonist is a teenager as well. Girls may be more
inclined to watch it because the majority of the cast is
girls. However the genre of the film could interest a
slightly older audience.

house, they are excited for being college students and
the new lives they will live.
2. A disruption due to the occurrence of an event – The
girls beginning to notice supernatural occurrence, such
as objects moving and loud bangs.

sightings of the ghost/spirit through mirrors and
windows. They start to become very fearful.
4. An attempt to resolve the disruption – Hiring a ghost
hunter
5. Restoration of NEW equilibrium – The third girl and
the ghost hunter find peace with the demonologist
and the girls body is returned.
