• The first thing you see is a police station. Then files appear so the
investigator takes a look at it

opened a picture comes up with a mysterious girl on it
• Then there is a flashback and another scene begins...
• The girl is praying in church asking God for forgiving her sins (murderer).
She leaves and is on her way home
• When she gets home, her step father is sleeping drunk on the sofa so she
goes to sleep
• The next scene is an establishing shot of a school.
• The little girl is walking around and stops
• She's staring at a memorial display of a student who was stabbed to death.
• As she is staring at it her face looks regretful
• She runs to the toilet. Falls down on the ground and starts crying her eyes
out.

• I got inspiration from the following film opening sequences:
-The Orphan ( I like this open sequence because it surprises the audience and expects the
unexpected)
-Scream (I like this open sequence because it isn't long and its entertain. It doesn't get bored !
• Basic Story :
An investigation is carried out about mysterious murders with only one killer. The main
suspect is a girl named Jessie. However it is not clear and the truth is revealed at the end.
• This story is suitable for my subgenre because...it contains murder. A lot of mystery but
it is clear. My story also has an investigation with plenty of action happening.
• The Characters are:
-Jessie
She is a innocent girl but suspiciously innocent. Has no mother lives with a step
father who is an alcoholic.
-Detective He is very ambitious about his job and will not let go until he does it good.
-Step Dad Is careless about his daughter. Became an alcoholic after his wife has died. He
can be abusive.

The conventions applied are : An detective investigating murderer. Innocent girl is
the villain. Villain does not com from a good family.
The location for this idea would be filmed at : A school where the main character
is bullied. A field where the murderer happens. The old house where the girl
(Jessie) lives.
The narrative structure would be explicit. It is very basic and clear . Audience
would not be confused . However because it is a crime-thriller it may be implicit
because it also has a investigation so some parts maybe be a bit unclear or
hidden

The enigma for the audience is: How was the girl (Jessie) killed after the
investigation has been completed. And who has done this.
The target audience for this idea would be around ages 15-20, so the youth. This
is because teenagers like adventures something to get them scared. They like
murder and the tension they get while watching crime-thrillers films.

The story is suitable for my subgenre because it has a lot of enigma’s and suspense in it

Suspense and mysterious
The locations for this idea would be filmed at a house then near by river then back at a
house.
The narrative structure would be non-linear because it doesn’t go in the three linear
structure starts with disequilibrium
The enigma for the audience is what’s in the bag? and why did she throw the bag in the
water?
The target audience for this idea is 15

A man is in jail so long he goes mad and believes he has committed the drug smuggling crime, however is snuck out of jail
and on the mission to find who framed him
