A teenage babysitter is hired to watch two strange children while the parents go out for the evening. Strange events begin to occur in the house and the babysitter discovers that the family has been kidnapping babysitters to keep them as slaves. The babysitter is knocked unconscious by a clown in the basement and wakes up in a cage with other captives. It is revealed that the father has been disguising himself as the clown to abduct the babysitters. The film aims to portray that slavery still exists in the world today and show it is morally wrong.

2. genre
• For my first idea I would like the genre to be horror as horror films are my
favourite type of films and I would love to create one. I also think that as I
have seen many horror films I would know what type of things scare people
and would be able to get many ideas from that.

3. Plot – summary of what will happen
• A mother and father are going out for a meal so get a babysitter to look after their 2
children. After 1 hour the babysitter called the parents because weird things were happening
in the house and the parents just say that its probably the kids. An hour after that she calls
the mum again saying that there is a clown in the garden so the parents say to get the
children and get out. She runs to the children's room and the children aren’t there, the clown
isn’t in the garden anymore. So she runs round the house trying to find the children and
hears the children in the basement so goes down into the basement to find them. It is dark
and the babysitter walks up to the children and the clown grabs her from behind and knocks
her out. She wakes up in a cage with other people. Outside the cage is the children the
mother and the dad who is wearing what the clown was showing that the dad was the clown
and they have kidnapped the babysitter and put her with other babysitters that they have
kidnapped.

4. Description of a key scene
• The babysitter goes down into the basement and the 2 children are stood in
corner talking so the babysitter walks up to them and they just stare at her,
then the clown from outside jumps out and hits her round the head knocking
her out.

5. Is there a message or a moral
• Yes, the moral of the story is that slavery is wrong. I am trying to portray this
by having the weird family keeping babysitters as slaves. Most people know
that slavery is wrong however they may not know that it is still going on in
the world so this film is going to hopefully show people that it is still going
on.

• The babysitter – a normal innocent teenage girl
• The son – a weird young boy, pale with black hair, about 7 years old
• The daughter – a weird young girl about 8 years old
• The mother – a weird woman with black hair and glasses about 50 years old
• The father – a weird older man about 55 years old with greyish hair

7. Audience
• The main audience is horror film fans as this film is a horror and it will only
appeal to horror fans and people who like being scared. The main age will be
teenagers and young adults as they are the main people who like horror films.

8. Where may you film the film
• In my house as I wont have a budget so I wont be able to pay to shoot
somewhere else.
• In an abandoned bunker as I don’t have a basement in my house and the
abandoned bunker would be good for the basement shots and will be free.
