3. Research
• I think a strength of my research was that I have listened to a lot of
podcasts before so I knew what I was looking for which helped me save
time.
• Another strength would be that I analysed the podcasts, looked at how
they were laid out and laid out my interview and podcast in a similar way.
• A weakness of my research would be that I didn’t spend as much time on
my research as I should’ve which initially I thought was good because I
thought I was saving time whereas really I rushed it and didn’t add things
like sound effects.
4. Planning
• One strength of my planning would be that I properly thought about the
questions I wanted to ask which were put into my script, and also thought
about the specific person who I wanted to interview and would be able to
give good feedback.
• One weakness would be that I could’ve added more questions and added
more dialogue but I didn’t so the actual podcast itself is rather short.
5. Time Management
• One strength of my time management was that I didn’t spend too long
doing anything which meant I had more time to decide I was happy with
it.
• A weakness would be that although I said moving through my work fast is
a good thing it is also bad because although at the time I thought I had
done the best I could however on reflection I understand the different
things I could’ve added if I managed my time a little bit better.
6. Technical Qualities
• I think my product is similar to grime podcasts
as they are laid out in a similar way with there
being an interview and then music being
played or performed at different stages
throughout.
7. Aural Qualities
• I think my work sounds good. I like how well I
have used the razor tool to fit in the different
songs for my podcast. I would improve the
interview because although the questions are
spoken and answered clearly I feel as though
we could’ve spoken louder just to give it that
extra bit of clarity. I think a strength would be
the content of the interview. A weakness
would be how quiet the interview is in
comparison to the music.
8. Audience Appeal
I feel as though my work would appeal to a range of different audiences as
It would appeal to uni students who are new to York and want to know
whdere to go for a night of music but it would also appeal to younger
audiences which like the local bands being played and whoever else would be
interested due to the genres of music being included and would want to find
out where to go in york to listen to this music.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked what information was included during the
interview as it was helpful.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The interview could’ve been louder as some of it
was hard to understand due to being quiet.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the music which was used as examples of other
bands/DJs which have played where advertised in the
interview.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I feel like there could’ve been more sound effects
included.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the way that the podcast was laid out as it
helped the information to be made clearer and was
then backed up by the music after.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• I feel as though the interview audio should’ve
been louder but the music should’ve been turned
down a bit.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that the interview should have been louder
and that I should’ve added some sound effects.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I don’t disagree that there should be more sound
effects however I feel as though too many could
be distracting.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
– I would make the audio for my interview louder
and add a few sound effects, I would also make
the music a bit quieter and maybe add some more
information.
